  1. I didnt get a chance to see the McCallie Ravenwood game but from what i have seen barnes is one of the best goalies and hasnt had a major problem stopping high shots maybe that just happened to be the ones that went in that game... in other regards i did see the MBA McCallie game and MBA's goalie looked impressive and could also be considered a top goalie in the state...as for McCallie's goalie i was not impressed at all i thought he definatly did not live up to the talk and i wouldnt consider him a top goalie in tennessee my guess is that the rest of the McCallie team and their success makes him look better than he actually is

thank you some one who doesnt just go off of one game

  2. I agree with DankyTank, I don't think that if Will Taylor played so well all year that he would just suddenly fake hurt. I also know Will personally, and i know that he has chronic back problems, which probably gave him some trouble versus Ravenwood as I'm sure he got hit in the back a few times.

well im tellin you that he did stay on the ground alot in the ravenwood game and he is a very good athelete im not saying he isnt i just noticed that he got the game stopped a couple of times cuz he just layed there and then when his coach came over he hopped right up like nothing happened

  3. Webb had a very weak team this year, the only offensive man that had talent was Will Taylor and he showed nothing against Ravenwood, he kinda just acted like he was hurt alot and layed on the ground

  4. do you have a studder? McConnell didn't impress me much this year.

mcconnel is an amazing goalie i played with him at the butler camp last summer and he did not let many goals in, and we played an allstar team from texas

i would pick mcconnel over the bwood goalie cuz ravenwood ate his lunch

  5. I think McCallie is probably the favorite, at least on paper, for the best D, seeing as the return 1 first team all stater in Jackson, who is a UPenn commit. They also return Huffaker who was a second team all state selection, and they have lots of depth at the position, and good size as well. Posted some nice wins against out of state competition.

I was not impressed with the CBHS defense. Good size, but slow. McClelleand threw some nice checks, but stopped his feet several times while checking. They did have some nice clears.

I think MBA's d is going to push McCallie. They start 3 experienced seniors, and have 2 more that play. Banker is a good checker who can carry. Brown plays some of the best position D in the state, and McWhorter is solid as long as he doesn't get overly aggressive. 4th pole is also a senior in Ramsey, who has a nice stick. Not a lot of flash but very good as a unit. Goalie play has been very nice so far. Held Lovett to a lower score than McCallie.

I haven't seen MUS play, but I would imagine they will battle CBHS for 3rd best unit.

From what i saw from Christian Bros they have nothing other than number 28, and their D was poor, they got very chippy against ravenwood and they even started throwing punches but the ref did nothing so t hey got lucky, and i dont know anything about MUS's D but Ravenwoods D is pretty good as a unit they have 2 poles that throw very good checks and of course Sterling Perkins who will take your head off, or and arm but he is a very good D-pole and is very experienced

  6. alex barnes is a very talented goalie and he can stop everything high, i dont know if he is the best in the state but he is very talented, oh and i see him everyday at practice i know he can stop almost everything high

  7. Alex Barnes, goalie for Ravenwood, got a penalty for a clean looking hit in the McCallie game he leveled an attackman that was about to score and by the way does Troy have full power over the refs in Chatanooga everytime he would say something like push in the back they would call it, i konw we lost the game ourselfs i was just wondering if that happened all the time

  8. This game was completly dominated by mccallie. Ravenwood played well for about the first 3/4ths of the 1st quater the score was 3-2. But after that it was over. I have no idea what happened maybe a little intimidation or somthing but Mccallie in every aspect of this game domintated and thats why they won by 5 goals. But I will say that Ravenwood played no where near what they are capable of playing and trust me come playoffs if these two teams meet again, it will be a much closer game. O and by the way, I am a Ravenwood fan, but I thought that stick check was totally unnessesary, and trust me not alot of the Ravenwood players liked it either, it made them look very desperate. Coach Little's a great coach, but I would have to disagree with that coaching decision. Congrats to Mccallie on a dominating win.

I dont know what game you were watching, but Ravenwood's defense played a good game and the reason the goalie only had four saves was because McCallie could not get close to the goal all their shots were wide or high, they did dominate the second quarter and that won them the game but Ravenwoods D held them to two goals in the second half

  9. i didnt see anything spectacular out of Cayhill, if i spelled that wrong sorry, when we played them but i didnt see the McCallie game, some one who should be looked at is 17 off of Houston he is a real play maker, he made many of the Ravenwood defenders look bad, and what number is Jackson for McCallie
