I say WC wins with ball control and a ball-hawking defense. This senior class has shown great leadership, and there are not that many of them. Speaks well for future success as well.

this is defintely one of the biggest games in the history of WC......actually played Smyrna pretty well last season and WC was, honestly, pretty crappy.....let's hope WC's db's are healthy

In the past LaVergne has won these type games. 01' and 02' they beat Lebanon 50-20 and 28-7 respectively both times I believe the Blue Devils were headed to the play-offs playing a LaVergne team coming off a Smyrna defeat everyone thinking LHS had "nothing to play for". In 1999 the Wolverines played Franklin Co. in week 10 already Eliminated from contention went on to beat a team that had already beat Brentwood. Tonight will be much the same many people think LHS is out for the count but they are not the playoffs happen to start for LHS today Wildcats will get a little bit of the same. LHS 41 WC 14 "Hester Casserole" THE REGION 4-5A TRAET DING! DING!

what is a "TRAET?" you can't be taken seriously with mess on here like that. WC plays ticked off and wins homecoming......RB better be ready for a wet turf.....

I saw WC against Franklin County in week 0, i think it was. Although WC won the game by 21, spread out over two nights due to lightning, they were not terribly impressive when compared to Riverdale's usual standards.

 

I assume it was just first game bugs and kinks, because you don't get to be 7-0 without being pretty danged good.

yeah, you can't base anything on that because WC played without Majors in the second half, and even then, that game was at no point close. FC should have just stayed home the second night. Could this be the year Riverdale finally loses a region game? Guess we will find out Friday night.

everyone that saw the game knows that it wasn't nearly as close as the score indicates. WC played reserves late in the 4th qtr. when Blackman scored the final TD. Also, the fumble recovery wasn't a recovery because his foot was out of bounds when he picked up the fumble. also, WC took a quick 10 point lead thanks to 1 turnover, not 2. WC is legit and are a improved football program

LHS79 I appreciate your enthusiam, but please don't sell the Bears short. They are a much better team today than they were earlier in the season. Lebanon will certainly have its hands full Friday night. They are a Wing-T team with several home run threats.

Mt. Juliet Golden Bears are back. Watch out because at the rate they are going, State could very well be in their future.

I know that WC faced a very good MJ team that will def be in the playoffs and came away with a W. Siegel earned some confidence pts taking on a perennial bottom dweller in 5A. The score was low in the MJ/WC game which makes me think that WC had to play a very physical game to win. However, Siegel scoring on the powerhouse called Smyna gets them a few pts too. I will tell you that I hope WC wins b/c I have a fondness for their program. WE have aquired 2 good coaches from there at OHS!!!!

I would like to see a region that looked like the old district 9 aaa. Then maybe we could get some of the old rival games going again. But if we end up in 4-5a we use to be there too, actually I think MJ gave Riverdale there last region loss in 95. Good luck to the warriors this week, Ill have to keep updated on the score while im at MJ watching the bears play the kitty cats

I think it would make a whole lot more since for several teams if Region 4-5A was just the Rutherford County region. They are building more schools all the time. They have enough teams to fill a region.

Then you have a region for Wilson/Sumner Counties. WOuld look like this:

The only thing that everyone must remember is that the seniors on the WC team went undefeated as Freshmen. So I guess we will all see who has gotten better the last 3 years.

LHS....you are DEAD wrong. Wingman has been on the T for many yrs. Search his posts and you will see that you are soooooo far from the truth on this one. Actually it is sort of funny that you are accusing him . He has no affiliation with anything in Wilson Cty, much less Wilson Central High School in any capacity. I have met him many times and I should know....your inside sources are off baseas in INCORRECT. Also there are TWO posters named wingman on here. Possibly you might mean the other one and NOT wingman10? You are taking your frustrations out on the wrong person.

I am sure in your feeble attempt to be funny, you didn't take the time to check the facts. First off, I am not upset by any means. Also, "wingman" never gives WC any props, and most of the time seems to be rooting against them. He should be focusing his efforts on the CU team he is trying to help jump start. I met the guy one time a couple of years ago when he was at Central and did not like his attitude then, and his ability to not support kids he used to coach just confirms that for me.

This will be a tough one, but Oakland will find a way to win.

why are you so quick to throw a team you had a hand in helping to build under the bus. you CHOSE to leave Central, why do you have to take a shot at them almost every time you get a chance. I hope they win in spite of you.....my support for them just doubled!!!!

I honestly think this region is still wide open after watching WC shut down Smyrna in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th qtr. I think probably Smyrna or Riverdale win the region. I think WC pulls out a playoff spot at either 3 or 4 seed. I think the other seed goes to Oakland or Lebanon.
