  1. I've heard enough about dirty play from last year... I was there...I'm a former coach and I played at a very high level...and I've watched the films also. There was not an intentional "dirty hit" to injure a milan player...what happened is very, very unfortunate as most injuries are. You can say all you want but the injury was just unfortunate. GC and several Dawgs will disagree but they are wrong...I'm sure that will be argued but big deal nothing will change their minds.

As far as a player making derogatory comments...cant speak about that other than the person accused of the comment has graduated and boy are we glad!! I don't think that you can over come stupidity and ignorance. With all that being said, if Milan sets out to intentionally injury an opposing player, I would be suprised because I believe that the Milan coaches have more class than that and wouldn't allow that to happen.

Now about thurs. game... JPMULL has stated the gameday situation as well as anyone could.

Bottom line....if anyone misses this thurs. night game...shame on you because it should be one of the best games this year!!! Good luck to both teams, play a great game and God Bless everyone involved!

  2. I'm sorry, this seems to be going like threads in the past have, so to get back on subject, despite our differences, I think usj will win. That is if they play like they did in a few of their close games. Like i said b4, I don’t think Dresden will handle all of the passing very well. Hopefully it will be a clean hard hitting game and somebody will end on a good note.

    BDD,

Again, the actions of a few do not equal the actions of the masses...Who knows which USJ team will show up? The fact is 7AA will represent themselves very well in the playoffs and I wish all the teams well

  3. somebody is a bit touchy today! i thought it was a pretty legit question. O and you mean somthing productive like working for you right? have fun watching basketball, at least its warm in the gym

Here's the problem and I dont see it being overcome, but you seem to judge ALL USJ people by the actions of a few. Dont do this. We dont judge ALL Milan people by your comments. ;)

  4. USJ aint nothin but a bunch of desrespecting punk boys that always have somthin smart to say....... that aint no joke.... i know sum of them personally and 4 sum reason they think there ummmm kings ...thats funny

Have you read alot of posts from some of the other schools? :)

  5. JPM62... I'm sure USJ had a good team that year but look at the teams they played.

Bruceton was 5-6.. Beat Gleason, South Fulton, Halls and Greenfield.ayette Academy was 5-7...

McNairy was 6-5 with wins over Adamsville and Fayette Ware (0-10)

    Riverside was 2-8..

    Northside was 1-9..

JCS was 10-3 with big wins over Bishop Byrne, Middleton and Halls  ...

USJ did beat Jax SS by 1 point and they went 9-4 in 2004.

Also I'd like to point out USJ beat Middleton, Perry County and Gleason for 3 of their 14 wins. You see, between tough games as you said you get a break by playing weaker teams and your team doesn't get banged up with injuries and losses. 1-A ball in West Tennessee isn't all that tough. Teams can point to a game on their schedule and get up for it while the team they are playing hopes to just get out with a "W".

The larger school's effectively "get a break" every week by being able to substitue more players through out every game. Its a wonderful luxury that smaller schools don't have. A 2A school has many more "ones and one and a halves" than a smaller school so the drop of quality play is much less noticeable than the smaller schools. Just an observation from an old coach.

  6. Undersized o-line is an understatement. Quick athletic o-line with good technique. Receivers are starting to figure out that you run with the ball after you catch it, and the running game has just got to town. QB is starting to play with confidence. Also the underclassmen have some experience. :)

  7. It doesnt matter what the subject, the world in Milan ALWAYS revolves around USJ. I hope that Milan's player is eligible and things work out, Milan deserves the region title. I personally saw the usj game films and there no more "cheap shots" by one team than the other. There are always a few from where ever that give their team a bad name...including MILAN. The state meeting was held at USJ. So what? If the meeting was held a the Holiday Inn would that mean that the desk clerk alerted the TSSAA about the infraction? People report things that they are absolutely positive about when really they don't have any idea about. The USJ crowd really doesn't care that someone transfered to a different school.

  8. I hope BD1 and the 12yearold have their parachutes on...the fall from the mighty Milan pedistal might be a high one and watch out for the falling gold balls. BTW I wish Milan good luck for the rest of the season they are a good program...it's just those 2 posters REALLY need to get a life.

  9. I wont have a copy until friday...what did the films show about the USJ parents? Maybe it was the Milan students walking thru the visitors stands.

If there were "cheap shots" those players should be players severely penalized! (all involved)

Let's get over this...because we all need to move on.

    Good luck to all!
