1. HEY GUYS,

IS NO ONE GONNA MENTION THE FACT THAT LITTLE OLE MACON COUNTY BEAT

THE MIGHTY BRENTWOOD ACADEMY THIS PAST THURSDAY.

I KEEP WATCHING CHANNEL FIVE BUT HOPE HINES HASN'T SAID A THING

    ABOUT IT!!!

THAT'S A BIG DEAL FOR A LITTLE SCHOOL THAT DOESN'T GET TO "RECRUIT"!!

I BELIEVE THAT'S THE FIRST TIME IT'S EVER HAPPENED....BUT NOT THE LAST!!!

    KEEP RUNNING

are you talking about cross country?? because im pretty sure highschool cross country, or cross country period will never make the news in Nashville... was BA running their varsity?

  2. throw in riley young

    BA will have somebody.

    garrett carmichael from ensworth

    they'll have a decent team as well. trust me /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> (Ensworth)

nick anneken is the returning favorite

anybody know why anneken had such a bad track season, it seemed like all his times this year were worse than his freshmen year. was he hurt or something

  3. QUOTE(thecrippler2222 @ Jun 11 2007 - 06:16 PM) 826473956at schools like DL and FRA there will always be JV guys ready to back up the leaving seniors. that is why they never seem to have a bad year. i mean FRA getting 3rd last year was like the worst they've ever done. you would've thought it was the end of the world with how disappointed they were but just about every other school would be thrilled with a 3rd place finish at state. I know DL will have some guys step up to keep them in the top 3 or 4 at state and make another run at the championship

if usjc can improve at all, they should be the favorites. if im not mistaken they only graduated 1 person from last years team and he was like their number 6 runner so he didnt contribute much

  4. QUOTE(in2football @ Jun 8 2007 - 06:59 AM) 826472837smh, unbelievable.... Go back and read some of the posts in this thread. Names were being thrown about and I decided to throw a name in the hat and this guy starts to whine. I will repeat this once more and I swear this is my last time saying it. If 6 tenths in a sprint event is a lot (as you so brilliantly posted) when referring to Ezell in comparison with bentley and byram, (please pay attention to this part) then why is the same argument not applicable when bentley and byram are tenths of seconds behind nellum? Just because you know Crips, doesn't mean your argument should be so subjective. Oh and Crips, I could care less who knows you in this message board - On this particular point you have contradicted yourself several times and you have no clue what you're talking about.

With that being said, I've waisted enough of my time on here so you guys have at it. Obviously I'm talking over someone's head. I'm done - do not quote me again - do not mention my name. Have fun!

yeah i was just kidding, crips is my man and he is extremely smart in terms of track, and sooo basically what im trying to say is i think "in2football" is the one who knows nothing about track

  5. QUOTE(thecrippler2222 @ Jun 7 2007 - 08:32 PM) 826472687Thank you. Someone is smart enough to understand what I was saying. Most of the people that are on this board regularly like Coniglio know me and know that I know what I'm talking about in the track world.

o shut up crippler, we all know that you have no knowledge of track.

  6. QUOTE(Coniglio @ Jun 4 2007 - 08:46 PM) 826471355Especially since USJC (from what I've seen before) doesn't train well over the summer.

USJC, MLK, and David Lipscomb would be the early top 3. Look for FRA to surface along with some of the other usual top 6 teams.

MLK is gonna have to to run more than 30 miles total between their varsity 7 over the summer if they want to be in the top 3

  7. QUOTE(pnthrsroc07 @ Apr 28 2007 - 09:25 PM) 826447654right, i would like to personally thank you for your enthusiasm as pertaining to the physical prowess of James Gilreath, however, i am offended and shocked that you, etown, would label us, the coacht junkies as being ignorant about the state of running in our state. If you don't think we already knew about James Gilreath, then you are obviously a complete, utter, total, blatent, definative retard. you sir, possess the intellectual capabilities of a rock, and are as stupid as your 800 pick is fast, perhaps more so. If your stupidity were to run an 800, we would be looking somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 seconds, which is, for all intensive purposes, as fast as my car. To say that people such as myself and the crippler are uninformed is unto itself a rediculous, and obviously uninformed statement. If you knew the depth of knowledge possessed in thecrippler2222's mind, you would drop to your knees and kneel prostrate before the glory you have encountered. you are, to us, just some petty plaything that we entertain the whims and fancies of, simply, because, it entertains us to watch you flounder around in your false hope of ever attaining the knowledge we possess. You area a farce among runners, please get off these boards.

man, that was beautifully said, i think i just shed a tear

  8. QUOTE(thecrippler2222 @ Mar 28 2007 - 10:47 PM) 826425461hahahaha nolan cant run a 9:45. i dont even think he's really running much longer than the 8 this year except for maybe like a 4x16 at DH so im guessing that was just a workout

lol, dude crippler, your so harsh, when you gonna make it out to one of our meets?

  9. QUOTE(Coniglio @ Mar 27 2007 - 05:31 AM) 826423642Now you sound like what GPHS said I was going to do. Sandbaggers! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

fra boys, i was reading the paper today, and it said that davis, i assume nolan, ran a 9:45 3200. is that true?? because that is very impressive this early

  10. QUOTE(mahaney @ Mar 26 2007 - 07:59 PM) 826423343yeah i forgot to mention bliton. he's a pretty tough miler with a 4:40 <? already under his belt. (not sure if that's accurate) i talked to him the day of state and he was pretty disgusted so i'm sure he's dying to redeem himself.

ahh are you kidding?!, none of the lipscomb runners will be doing the 3200 on friday?! gahh man.,it won't be fun.,will yall be doing the distance medley relay?

good luck with your race conig..

as of right now, we will not be running anything

  11. QUOTE(thecrippler2222 @ Mar 26 2007 - 08:42 AM) 826422865Anyone know how jackson bliton is doing? Two years ago you would've thought he would be a no brainer to win state at this point but he's had some misfortune. If anyone has any info on him post it please

i know that after xc season, bliton decided to wrestle because i think he was fairly upset about his xc season, other than that i have no idea, and even though lipscomb is at buster's its the day after our Jr/Sr banquet/prom thing so none of the older guys will be running

  12. QUOTE(jp1952 @ Feb 1 2007 - 05:04 PM) 826354901

Im sorry but is calling 10 fouls on cpa in the first quarter not "deciding to make some calls". and who are you calling rat players? cpa's not the ones that have players with the sickest most ratty tattoes on their bodies. really cute

no matter what names you call our players or what excuses you make, lipscomb is still 2-0 vs. CPA this season, enough said

  13. QUOTE(sports_fan @ Jan 29 2007 - 09:25 PM) 826351028

He was not tossed from the game. The coach showed he was a class act by sitting him down. Don't even get started on dirty play. Dont throw stones if you live in a glass house. The Lipscomb players were elbowing, shoving, holding jerseys, always trash talking and as I recall it was Slater doing the whining to the officials.

yeah your wrong about clayton, he was tossed

  14. it was fun beating johnson... unfortunately FRA was running without their fourth man... that kiduf hurts a bit...

Man conigs, i was not expecting you and those other two to take off like that... i would have started my kick earlier if i knew that you would just dissappear... running half the race alone is difficult and def. did not help my time

congrats lipscumb you finally won :thumb:

enjoy the victory over me. because right now i am salivating at the mouth to run the mile in track again

  15. it was one of those things where i didnt think before i typed. I will say that i think being a senior definitely has an effect on the race. However, that doesnt mean everything, b/c i still think Sean keveren will beat Chris Berry even tho berry is a senior
