  1. This is to everyone from Hendersonville who is riding Yazzie's jock he is a good player but no where near the best the rebels have played against this year! I believe Eric Gordan and Chaz Scales are better and if you think He's gonna be running wild on special teams remember He's not Devin Hester out their he's a high school kid. Sorry for the hostility but i'm really ticked off after watching that idiot on youtube....This goes out to you with the mullet your a first class idiot for making that video thank goodness no one will have to see him for a whole year after tonight! /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> Good Luck to both teams and i hope for no injuries.

  2. Okay I will.

A 6'7 Drew Kelly will have a huge height advantage over any corner he faces. You think that won't be a difference when Centennial gets close to the endzone?

This Franklin defense has not faced anyone near the speed of Chaz Scales, nor has anyone that can match his speed (Jarriel Eaton and Jamaul Starnes are not as fast as Chaz Scales, so don't play that card). If Chaz gets into open space, that will be a factor.

In a close game where every yard and every point matters, special teams comes into play. With Austin Bass, CHS has that advantage.

All season long, Centennial has made teams pay for turnovers. If FHS has a 4th quarter similar to Brentwood, that would be a factor.

Well as far as Drew Kelly goes he's 6'6 and jamaul starnes can out jump him so scratch that one out and as far as no one being able to catch "GOD" aka Chaz Scales last time i checked he played last year and Franklin had no trouble stopping him and for Jarriel he doesn't play defense and im pretty sure he had a nice snag on good ol chaz last year in the endzone...check the tapes! Wait i smell something sniff sniff...is that 12? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  3. Yes actually the Northeast club has gotten quite a few new coaches this year and i have met them all. I would have to say that the OL coach "Coach Southerland" Seems to really have his line improved and will be able to protect the new QB Travis that seems to be really athletic along with Wideout #17 Micheal Mosby who im sure yall will here about this year. He is a Sr that might have the best hands in the state. As for those OL i was talking about "Zach Willams" Guarnteed scholarship one of the best OL ive seen in a while. "Kenny Vickery 6'6 300lbs already being looked at by Auburn and LSU. Yall will just have to wait and see until the 30th when they play 4a Rossview and the wait till You see them win against some big names like Franklin, Brentwood, and dont forget Ravenwood. I know yall wont believe until you see it but youll see it in 55 days.

Wow we need a drug test cause this guys on drugs if he really thinks there going to beat Franklin or Ravenwood. I mean seriously try winning more than one or two games then you can talk trash!

  4. Looking forward to it as well. Should be a good matchup.

P.S. You should probably be there on Oct. 5th. You'll be awfully lonely on the 7th.

    -MVS

    Yea i meant the 5th i don't know why i said the 7th whoops /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  5. Oh reallllly? Stunk?

Tank - Kinda hard to believe that a playoff team stunk. Not to mention a playoff team in a very tough region. A team that beat the team that went on to play in the championship game. REALLY? Stunk?

Now I will address each "point":

    1. Last year was last year, buddy. While Brentwood didn't stink (see above), there was definite room for improvement. And fyi, our guys haven't been sitting around all spring and summer eating ding-dongs and playing Halo. Yep, believe it or not, they've been hitting the weights, conditioning, and running drills. I know...amazing. Know this - 2007 Bruins will be BETTER, not WORSE than 2006.

    2. It was a young team last year. By that, I mean that there were a lot more sophs and juniors playing than seniors. The team that takes the field August 31 will be far and away more experienced and solid than last season. Rest assured that they did NOT lose "what good players they had".

I'll leave you with this little morsel...10 consecutive years of playoff appearances.

    Only 58 days...Go Bruins!

I'm glad to hear that the Bruins have been in the weight room and doing speed drills because playing Brentwood last year just didn't seam the same instead of them airing it out like they have in past years they tried to take a page out of Dicksons playbook but the Bruins just didn't seam to be the powerhouse program they have been in past years. Can't wait to line down against them October 7th. /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

  6. good to hear i got that info from one of the players earlier. so is he lookin better than he did last year??

He is looking great! He has really worked hard this offseason and has been picking defenses apart in the 7 on 7s.

  7. If you take a look at all the other county schools - they all have better facilities than CHS

Your saying CHS facilities are worse than Franklin's wow Franklin probably has the worse facilities out of the Williamson county schools and still owns CHS! Yes i've seen CHS and it isn't half as bad as FHS. CHS 2007 or should I say Andrew I never remember seeing u suit up in a Feedom Middle uniform and u werent in the team picture. Looks like both u CHS 2007 and u footballprincess are both arguing about Football and niether of u even play or have ever played. :o

U left out Josh Frohock from Franklin but everything else is right.

  9. I don't think Franklin will be up there either. They do have a good returning team, but they're also losing some key players that contributed alot of the success of the team the past two years. They'll still be good, but they wont be state-class material.

U don't know much about Franklin Football since Coach Clayton has come down from Kentucky he has said this will be Franklin's best team and we lost some good players but have a lot of good young players stepping up o yea watch out for Keylo Lee next year!

  10. :) I was SO embarrassed for the Smyrna Bulldogs last night. The first thing they thought to do when they gained their State Championship Title was to run across the field to the losing team, point to the scoreboard, and rub the Ravenwood Raptors' noses in it. The sad part is that the coaches didn't seem to mind! What a disgrace to Rutherford County! I watched the Raptors win their first state title last year, and, in their glory, they didn't dream of stooping to taunt Oak Ridge. If Smyrna wants to start representing Rutherford County, someone PLEASE teach them not to act like rednecks. I don't recall Riverdale ever showing such a lack of class.

Class or no class doesn't really matter their the champs and know one can take that away from them. Good job Smyrna yall deserve it. :)

  11. You got that right about off season workouts! At least Indy has a feeder school (Heritage) where off season workouts are encouraged which certainly helps the high school. Freedom Middle has no such thing - never have had - and when the players get to CHS and are made come to workouts they balk! Working out and getting stronger is the answer, plus learning fundamental football skills. Some of the good quarterbacks you listed are walking examples of what working out and getting stronger can do for a player. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out. I'm a girl and I know that!

Franklin gets Freedom players to and they do just fine. :o

  12. Okay, I don't usually advocate the use of CoachT, but as a former Centennial player, I feel compelled to comment on this thread.

First off, yes Centennial has beaten Franklin in JV at least once, I know this because I was on the team when it happened. I think the freshman team might also have a few wins.

As for the whole Gregory situation, I don't really have much to add. I went through the same thing when coach Rollins left. Getting a new coach is a lot more complicated then it sounds. It takes a while for a team to learn to trust the new coach. Gregory is a great guy and was a good coach who led a team that was seemingly going nowhere into a Region contender. I think he just got caught up in a few bad seasons but it wasn't all his fault. The players made a lot of fundamental mistakes that just comes from the youth and inexperience. I wish Coach Gregory the best in wherever his future leads him.

As for the new coach, you never know who it's gonna be until the moment he's hired. Speculation does absolutely nothing. Personally, I think some of these people just posted random names to start discussion. Gregory could have mentioned a few names, but he could have been talking about anything. (By your posts, I assume he still has a position at the school). The point is just mentioning names will lead you nowhere. And believe it or not, it can also hurt the reputation of coaches, (which is why I never liked this board). So be careful what you post.

Centennial fans, all I can say is keep the faith. You can go 10-0 next year or you can go 0-10. But you'll never know for sure until the season starts. So no matter what, get out there, support your team, and let the boys know your behind them. To all my Cougars, I'M OUT!

And what year mite that be? Not this year because Franklins JV team was undeafeted and blew everyone that they played out.

  13. Apparently not much if Shuman is the main guy. But maybe Nowell will return as a coordinator taking over the position that Finney left open. As far young talent, our JV team believe it or not killed Franklin, so obviously the talents there. I've always thought we had good young talent, Gregory just never put it together. But we do have some great young players and more help could be arriving soon. The word is that the new rezoning plan would give Centennial about 300 more students from both Page and Freedom

Your wrong on that one FHS and CHS JV never played this year but the Freshman did and Franklin killed them by like forty something points so get ur facts right before u talk trash about something u know nothing about! CHS has never beat Franklin at any level in football Freshman, JV, or Varsity FHS and CHS JV havn't played for the past 2 years because CHS was to scared stay tuned and i will have actual scores of the last couple of years O yeah keep talkin and next year we will beat yall by thirty+! New coach same ol tradition gettin spanked by Franktown!!! :thumb:
