I have no clue where you are getting your info but it is far different from what I have heard from head masters, coaches and ADs. Theres no movement whatsoever to go down this path by the headmasters. You do know the headmasters in middle TN meet for luncheons and this has never been discussed except for small groups chuckling about "people" suggesting it is an option? Right?

 

If you want to know the pulse of this topic speak to ANY headmaster at a D2 school. Maybe it happens in a decade or more but even then not all D2 schools would do it.

How many headmasters, coaches and ADs do you talk to aside from the ones where your kids go? Prominent?? really or is this still the only one you actually talk to.

I stand corrected they are three consecutive year state champs in 4a two consecutive year state champs in 5a which means by the new rule they should be playing 6a in the post season this year. Good RC.

In addition to them being a good football team they are a 4a school playing a 5a schedule because here in Indiana when you win it all you move up for th post season for at least 2 years. I might be wrong but I think this is their second year at 5a and they won it all on 5a last year as well as the year before in 4a.

I heard guy at Antioch turned it down twice - cane ridge guy from Memphis can't pass background check -sounds like both starting over.

I do not understand former head coach Mike Woodward not even getting an interview. Brentwood hires their former head coach without even posting the job. Antioch will not even interview one of the best coaches they have ever had. Go figure. Sad.

Based on my conversation with mw he had no interest in Antioch with other opportunities in the hopper.

That is important - not sure about coaching supp but teacher pay was lower than sumner 2 years ago which was lowest around then.

10-21 and 1-17 against d2-aa or something like that -recruiting must not be his bag. Brothers would have been a good choice but brothers is smart enough to know there maybe something in the water there. I think the problems at goodpasture are way bigger than Fb and way higher up try chain.

It's simple. Call it if it's obvious. Keep the game under control on the field. Quit worrying about the sidelines and let the coaches do that. WHEN a mistake is made, own up to it and talk to the coach.....that alone goes a long long way! Too many try to be noticed instead of letting the kids be noticed. The refs are working 2 hours a week on a game while the kids are preparing 15+ hours. I understand some refs do not try to have anything to do with the outcome of a game and do a good job but so many know there are zero consequences in place for doing a horrible job so when they do, it just rolls off their back and they move on.

Just watch the NFL, you see bad calls and no calls in every game. They even get calls wrong with instant replay. Some officals need to know the rules better ,but as far as judgement calls, they are human and make human errors.

Rarely are they wrong and they are paid well and held accountable. Those guys are so good they get 75% right with instant replay. Most coaches just want a little accountability for the officials - mistake and wrong calls happen but they are never wrong which is crap.

One of the head officials lives in Gallatin and he in fact does go to the games and grades them. So it does happen.

Not really proof- If he is actually grading them without watching a film of the game then that is pointless there is no way he can watch all six live. Again if true that only applies to one association- the Tssaa has no policy for holding officials accountable or grading.

Not sure I understand this hire- his record was not very impressive at jp2 but I don't understand going 0-10 and moving up either

I like this rule. You don't see officials in the paper or on TV blasting a coach for poor coaching decisions.

Except bad coaches are fired for not winning- keep officiating but do us all a favor and learn the rules.

Prove it. I know several officials and they are never held accountable and are never graded. Closest thing to that is hc rank them each year which is garbage too. If they are held accountable then the results should be made public. Like I said prove it.

You have no idea what your talking about, officials are held accountable there graded in person and on film all the time. Only difference its not announced to the public and it don't need to be
