Well, just finished part of my game preview for Thursday's paper. Let's go home and get some sleep ... get back down here about 12 and put this thing together.

If Coalfield didn't know where we were coming from then they didn't do their homework. There wasn't anything new that I hadn't seen us do before. (Except the halback pass). We pretty much controlled the line and luckily got some breaks or it could have easily been closer.

CY.....are you still hearing the name of Milhorn from the other night? Is it stuck in your conscience? Just kidding. We got kinda irritated withthe announcer not saying his name right. Kept calling him Milborn. We straightened him out after the first few times.

In all seriousness though, Milhorn did have a heck of a game for us, so I just had to ride you a little.

Anyway, this is BD's thread.......I'll say it again. It was a privilege to watch him play. one of the hardest runners I have ever watched.

Not sure what you're talking about with the Jacket, but I'll take a stab, I've been a Chief fan since the days of Lenny Dawson days. People might guess me age now. I've pretty much always wore a Chiefs jacket. If you see the # of posts on here,you can tell I've been at this for quite a few years. Alot of posters on here know how to find me when we play where ever. I guess you could say ,its become my trademark. Sort of fun to meet these posters from other places. At one time, I had a few thinking I was a great linebacker from Penn State.Thet were a little surprized that the school I really attended was State Penn.LOL

Hampton played a great football game friday. They flat dab whipped coalfield. I am pulling for them friday. I think they can beat friendship, no doubt in my mind.

Thanks crazy, was an honor to come to Coalfield. Did you know that there were people not 5-8 miles away that had never heard of Coalfield. We had to stop and ask directions at a store and they said they had never heard of the place. that had us worried. But we talked to some guy in the parking lot and he said we wasn't mre than 5-8 miles away.

There should be no talk on here about pvt vs. public. If TSSAA has said that you all are in our division, and that to win the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP, we must go through you, then I accept that as our job. No disrespect.....but line your 11 with our 11 and we will see who wins. the only thing that I will guarantee, you will not see a repeat of last year from Hampton, and you will see one heck of a ballgame. Looking forward to it, onw I am outta here and on my way to K-town.

Don't get me wrong now FallSportsFan. Im pulling for you. I pull for anyone that does not recruit. The bulldogs just need to make sure they bring there A game on Friday. Be strong up front and force Rickaway to run up the middle. And keep a top on the secondary. Jump on them early and don't look back.

Calm down 'fan...it is good to be the underdog...all the pressure is on them, we are not even supposed to be there...yes we remember last year but this is a different year and different team...I don't look for them to be awed or quit if they get behind early...

You are exactly right,good teams do get blown out, just this season, Riverdale beat Smyrna 49 to 0. Last week Smyrna beat Riverdale 9 to 7.

The coach from Smyrna when asked about the first game loss to Riverdale 49-0, he sadi it was downright embarassing and he would do what it took to have his team more prepared for the second meeting. I kinda feel like that is the way Hampton is looking at this after the TC massacre last year. But then again, no one is that good this year, but I firmly believe we will be prepared and know what to expect.

I have not seen what anything on Hampton but I hope that they are better than last years team. I saw them play TC last year and TC did whatever they wanted to with them. Some left the game crying I heard. As bad as I hate to say it, FC is got the gold ball wrapped up. They are on cruise control. FC 42 Hampton 0.

Good teams can get blown out too, just look at last week vs. Temple. FC is not/was not that better of a team, but on that night they were. Just like last year against TC, Hampton got shocked early and often and it took the wind out of our sails. Some crying, yeah, porbably, but when you are a senior and you know it was your last game ever on that field, it's tough. If FC has the gold ball wrapped up, why are we playing the game? Can someone from Hampton please see if we have to play, because if we don't, let's just get ready for basketball.

Use a handheld navigation device. The new "Dave-Dave" navigation unit has some bugs in it that needs to be worked out!!!!!!!!!

But whatever you use, listen to it. It can only give directions, it can't drive too.
