  1. One last comment about the game, the stop and go play we tried to complete normally works better when you`ve previously completed a few stop plays prior to running a stop and go.

    Just a suggestion

We did complete a few stop plays to set it up..(Stalk/run blocking)..(do it every snap)..That is what the action appeared to be based off of..And it was open..

  2. Just talked to a guy at practice. Said he will ask McFall and let me know.

    Stay tuned.

I would say that is all it is, a rumor.

That is like everything else that everyone around here thrives on, a RUMOR. McFall is not going anywhere, and i dont understand why people continually want to stir the pot with these topics. That is all this team needs, is too worry about whether or not their friends and teammates are going to transfer or not based on an off the wall rumor. Take care of business tonight men and lets work to that postseason berth. good luck tonight..

  3. Hard fought game. FB Brooks #46 scored 2 TDs one on a 66yd and 12yd. QB Long #10 scored 1 TD. A lot of trash talking, one player ejected for slapping to the head. Couple of Unsportsman like. One in OT with CC on our 1yd line. They punched it in for the win 2 plays later. Defnse did not play like last week. No intensity. We also had 3 fumbles, one on their 1yd line. Its not the end of the world. They never gave up, just too many penalties for stupid stuff. Hopefully some things will be learned from this game.

Offense had over 300 yards rushing. Brooks had around 175. Defense gave up only 145 total yards in regulation and 1 TD. Special teams hurt us tonight with their return. but penalties and turnovers were the killers..jeff co beat themselves tonight. dont count these young men out yet.. this group will not quit and i expect to see some great things yet to come.

  4. Don't think many people care where he goes. All the conversations I have had it is a plus he is gone.

Losing Smoot may be a bigger hit than most people may think. He had a very strong bond and trust with the players, and the man truly knows the game. I don't think that it is a plus like people seem to think that it is. I wish him nothing but the best.

  5. Lamarr Brown and Kenny Ratledge from Sevier County you would think would be the two leading candidates should the job open up. Both understand what Patriot football is all about, plus know a lot of the kids in the county from having coached against them and just living in the area.

thats sounds great...those are two qualified guys.. i also heard Coach David Cutcliffe's name thrown into the mix as well..who do you think would be better for the program?

  6. You have to absolutely love a coach that has the best kicker in the conference and chooses to not only do onside kicks instead of sending it into the endzone like the kicker is capable of, but also teaches him to kick it straight up into the air so the other team can call a fair catch rather than even having a chance to cover the onside kick.

What absurd coaching. Yet another week goes by that most of the Jefferson Co community loses even more faith in our coach. What is he doing? Could someone please enlighten those of us that are tired of giving the opposition only 40-50 yards to go to score each drive?

Kick the ball coach! Sheesh, I no longer support this coach, we need a new coach. Our kids came out to play and played their hearts out tonite and all the coach did was set them up to fail. We need a coach that will give our kids a chance to win, period.

I couldnt agree with you more billiard13. I mean, it is the coach's fault. He is the one responsible for the offense putting the ball on the ground 4 times and losing 3 of them, and also throwing two picks. I mean, that is all coaching right there. Isnt it???? Your intellence level is not that high, is it?? And as far the the kickoffs go for last night, the coach had a good strategy. why would you want to kick it deep to probably the best athlete that the pats have faced all year. Dave is a great kicker, but he has not been able to put it in then endzone for the past few weeks.. that is too big of a risk to take because the coverage team is not that fast. they try hard, but those returners are too explosive. so the high pooch kick was a great call. force them to call a fair catch on around the 35, except for one that dave kicked short.. It is people like you, and cline, and JC4Life for why this program is struggling. Fairweather fans. You only support the kids when they are winning..and if they lose it is automatically the coach's fault.. The coaches put the players in the right positions to make the play (which they have done a descent job of), and it is up to the players to execute.

the pats are young and they have a good group of kids out who want to get better, unlike some of the cline's of the past.. now how are these kids suppose to improve when there are people like you all tearing them down.. this team is a family, and when you start complaining and riping on a coach or a player then it affects the entire team.. if you actually understood the game, then you would not be complaining when you see what has went wrong this season and why. use logic. If you cant understand the game and support what you say is your team, then shut up.. and by the way, it appears that you and cline are on the same team so i would be careful because he has the tendency to kick his own teammates in ######s.

If you are a patriot fan and supporter, then SUPPORT the program and everyone in it or SHUT UP and stop trying to tear the team down!!!!! This is high school football for crying out loud...
