Give me a break. Just what should have South's coaching staff done tonight? Did you see the same game I saw? Curt was picking himself up off the ground most of the first half. I don't think he blocks. Curt threw the ball someone had to catch it. South's coaching staff did what they should have done and that is keep with what started working. By the way Curt wasn't in the game the last 6 mins in the 4th.

Good Game Betsy. The score doesn't reflect your effort but South had to work on Curts stats so he can get his full ride and the coach's can get the glory for getting him ready for the next level.

South has a good team but nobody will ever know it because it is the Curt show. A coach's job is to get everyone that wants to play the next level some coverage but this all about Curt. You had to win last week as a team but you wont see that again until he has to.

I am on my laptop at the game with your Coke and I just got thirsty and left. Great Game. Congrats on a big win. Our kids will get over this and focus so watch out for us in the playoffs and we will work out our kinks. I am going to drop in my two cents as an outsider. I enjoy watching northeast TN football, and I usually select a 4A or 5A showdown to watch. I have seen both of these teams play this year, and they are two fine teams. The Viking faithful seem very confident, maybe too confident, going into this contest. Curt Phillips is one of the best high school QB's I have ever seen. In my opinion he ranks up there with the Maryville QB in 04'. South has a solid line, and so does THS. Both programs have great coaching staffs. This will be a hard fought contest, and I do believe the Vikings to be over confident and this will cost them dearly. South always elevates their game when they face THS, remember the playoffs of 04'. South almost shocked the world. Vikings you are a fine team , better than I expected at the start of the year, but you are not close to 04 team, no Zak and Whitten on this team................The MLC crown WILL STAY IN DEATH VALLEY this year and next

AMEN You don't have to worry about Coach Stubbs because just when you think you have him figured out you better think again. He did a great job last year and is doing it again and you can beat your paycheck he has something up his sleeves for the rest of the season and against the Rebels.

Is this the "Fantasy Football Board" ?

It is the THS Football Board , but just the South Fantasy. I haven't heard much from the South fans and if they come in here it is with not much Confidence. I saw what DB did to them and ever since that BEATING they lost a little swagger and I am sure they will be on here to talk about our score was no better but we did have some positive yards and some good stops on D.

South was devistated by the DB loss. The pre-season hype, the All-State QB, the terrific LB's, able Wide Recievers, good RB's. They have sort of drifted through the wilderness until last week. I think they are out of the woods. Bristol...they think they beat DB except that the score was off a bit. They woke up Sunday morning and got on with it. They wasted very little grief on DB. South, is fortunate to have stumbled this far without falling off the cliff. They endured a ton of injuries to key positions...I know everybody has injuries, but they had more than their share. OK, maybe they asked for a few of them. Bristol regrouped and refocused very quickly. South had to go back through the fire. Is South ready? If not then they will never be. The timing was all in their favor. The "new" center...is a vetran, the "new" running backs...are vetrans. The "new" game plan...is not new. They know this is the Real McCoy. Curt Phillips quick strike capability...Bristol's dog-eat-dog mentality...might not be 5A but I wouldn't miss it for the world!

TN.HIGH too tough for South this year. THS wants this too much and wants to put a period on the end of it and they will. South has great talent but I have watched too much film of that and so has THS.

I have a question for South fans. I have been watching TN.HIGH the last several years and when this Senior group played as Freshmans South had a big powerful RB that was real good. My question is did he transfer or what?

Curt didn't compete because of the shoulder. He won the competition as a sophmore last year.

THS deffinately comes out with the win in this one! THS takes back the MLC title that should have never been given up in tha first place. South could take a month to prepare for THS and still wouldnt win.
