I saw AA Region 5 just put the brackets up and for Wilson Central Steven Fisak is not listed at 145, 152,  160 or on the team page.  What the heck happened?  Man I hope he didn't get injured.

    Sad to hear.

    Praying for a speedy recovery.

Why did they not wrestle at the Ironman Tournament after being told would?  I looked for them only to be stunned that they wrestled against Ryan on Friday night and the Cleveland Duals on Saturday.  No problem with them wrestling for their team; however, have a problem with being told one thing and it does not happen.  Just sayin'.

I thought I saw an earlier quote that said Ellison and the HWT would be at Ironman?  Did I miss something or was a message changed?

You will not get to see that match up as Ellison will be at the Ironman.

Yes sir, Isbell has now won three in a row at the Ryan tournament as well as having a third place finish his freshman yr. Christian only lost one match during his 4 yrs at this tournament and that was to Zeke Escalera in the semis of his 9th grade season. Great job!!!

Congratulations to Isbell,  I am sure he has entered a select few that have won the tournament 3 x's.

The wrestler he beat is listed as an 8th grader.  If this is true, he has a bright wrestling career ahead of him.  He has to be tough to only lose 5-2.  Also, I do not believe Eli King won the FR Tournament 4 x's.  I do not believe he even wrestled all 4 years in the tournament.

Also, I believe Tim Garrett won the tournament 3 x's for Overton back in the day.  lol.

Did McTorry win it 3 x's?  Ralph Gabrell at Overton back in the 1990's were really strong.

while you are correct in that AvB and BvC does not always mean A beats C, but when 2 have not wrestled, all you can do is take common opponents to help determine rankings, and if you do that, Whitworth wins that without question. And outside of that, if you want to talk style match ups, I think Whitworth would be  a nightmare for Horst's style.

This is exactly my point.  If the 2 have not wrestled, you look at common opponents.

Bump11, you are the idiot.  The more you spoke the more it became clear.  Tattoo this.

  6. Congrat's to Cooper on an amazing tournament.  Proud of him.  Can't believe he didn't win the AAU State and won this tournament.  Says much for the Boom Ranch Club where he is training now.  Congrats to Uhrochuck for his placement.  This is quite the accomplishment.  How did these wrestlers do at the AAU State Tournament last year?  Sounds like their training is paying off.

Proud of both young men and glad to see so many young wrestlers from Tennessee competing against the best.

Hoosier dad. I have not been on here in a decade but just checking on the results of this tournament randomly I see your still being an angry jerk. You must be a really unhappy man

Not being a jerk unless you think those who question a misstatement or a lie a jerk.  What I said was totally factual.  Thank God for Garrett and Coach Sutherland for correcting statements that are not true. If I am not mistaken, Garrett had 2 corrections within a few days. Does this make Garrett a jerk for his 2 corrections?  I don't think so.

I think what this says is more about you and that is very sad.  Tells me all I need to know about you.

  8. Are you saying that the truth is no longer acceptable?  There is a difference between being wrong and not stating the truth.  I applaud the young men and women who did well at Fargo.  Their accomplishments should be recognized; however, do not lie about their accomplishments.  I am ok with a misstatement, I am not ok when it happens time and time again.

Why does the truth not matter?  Just state the facts and enjoy what these young athletes have accomplished and not expand on what is not true.

We have all been wrong before; however, most of us do not continue down the same path.

Actually I believe our first 4xAA at Fargo was Michael Murphy (Baylor School):

    2012 Cadet Greco 7th

    2013 Cadet Free 3rd

    2013 Cadet Greco 4th

    2015 Junior Greco 7th

Tate Robinson won 3 while representing TN and at least one, maybe 2, while representing MO.

We may have had a couple of other 3xers as well but I didn’t look through the data closely.  Bracket was 3 I believe.  I know Nick Boykin had his double champ year but can’t remember if he placed past that.

Still a great accomplishment by the guys this year.  Very good to see us having guys continuing to do it with more consistency.

Are you saying that what was stated is not correct?  For the second time in as many days; you have corrected an incorrect statement.  Thanks for calling out when the truth is tarnished.   Seems to be a pattern here.

I too agree that this is a great accomplishment; however, no reason to make stuff up

    Just sayin'.

You must always remember to listen, read and verify.  Many times people claim various things without doing any research.

This is not the first time something like this has happened.  I remember when something was posted on McCallie about a TSSAA state championship record a year and a half ago until Coach Sutherland had to correct.

    Just saying.

I cannot seem to find where the Prep Slam is in the top 10 toughest tournaments. Where did you find this? I was looking on http://wrestlingreport.com/hs/ and do not see it.

Bond is here at Prep Slam but he is not wrestling because he is healing a nagging  injury(groin/hamstring I think) and the other 3 have the flu.   All 4 would be in the semis if they were here wrestling and they all would have pushed to win their brackets and this is at a tournament that FRL called one of top 10 toughest in season  tourneys .   I know all 4 of those boys and they love good competition so if they could have competed they all would have been here so let’s not be an #### ok?

6 years ago so Prep Slam wasn’t cut, Flo just stopped rankings tournaments as Flo Majors back then.

I am curious to see where this tournament was ranked in the top 10 as well.  Could you please direct us to where this information was obtained?

    Please advise.
