  1. Couple of comments on this string about Franklin's QB situation and Coach Clayton.

As to QB situation, I've said before that Franklin's Matt Solima and Michael Mikrut were special QBs that don't just grow on trees. Having seen both of them progress through all 4 years, I can tell you that both Sellars and Nichols are better this year as sophomores than either Matt or Michael were as sophomores. Great things are ahead for both!

As to impressions of Coach Clayton, remember that he too had big shoes to fill in those of Danny Nowell. I guess it depends on your style, as to how wide open you like to see an offense vs. smash mouth, and how well you adapt your play calling to other strengths and weaknesses in your offense. Keep in mind too that Clayton is in a pretty tough fraternity of coaches in Williamson County. If I had to choose up sides and were picking an OC I'd go 1) Nowell 2) Rector 3) Crawford 4) Smith 5) Clayton. Not a bad group to chose from!

  2. Dedication and hard work has been presented by the Franklin Coaches, Players and QB Club the entire year. Good luck and be safe tonight.

  3. I would like to know this as well.

Good luck to the Franklin Rebels and especially Donnie Webb, DC! Franklin runs a class act program, and I hope they make it all the way to the BCB!

This one reminds me of a certain game back in 98 against a common foe.....same DC.....same results.

  4. This is a great matchup for H'ville. Franklin hasn't scored a lot of points versus teams with good defenses (effectively shut out by DC), and HHS has proven that they can shut down an offense when they put their minds to it.

This one will go down to the wire, and I like H'ville's chances. Don't be suprised to see Franklin go down in this one.

Why is the G-Factor commenting on Franklin are you an insergency. You need to worry about Gallatin stuff.

  6. Franklin Offense will be just fine in the Playoffs. For Donathan's sake - removing the lower teir teams from 6-5A (Columbia and North East - we haven't played Centennial Yet) they still average 19.3 points per game with a defense that gives up less than a touchdown per game.

That should due just fine - since we all know "Defense wins Championships".

It be interesting to see the playoff playbook, dust it off coach's. Exchange's, Route's, Blocking Assignment's, Drop's, Sweep's, Reverse's, Exchange's, and a Trick play of the week, Have fun on the field and in the classroom. Region Champions. Take it to the next level.

  7. as of tomorrow at 0:00 in the 4th quarter, greg gregory will no longer be the head coach of centennial high school football...

he sat the team down in the locker room today after pratice, and told them he had been fired, and tomorrows game will his last a their coach.

exact details: why, and who will replace him are still unknown....

this has been a long time coming, so thank God for finally answering our prayers.

im extremly interested to see how the players act on the field tomorrow!!!

OK" can I gut stomp you! It'll hurt me, more than it'll hurt you.
  8. Remember, this still isn't the same Centennial team from earlier this year. Our offense is clciking, our defense is stepping up to make big plays, and we're for the most part injury free for the first time this season. We have a new gameplan, and it wouldn't hurt to say that CHS would make this interesting.

If Coulumbia was winning the State Championship, Franklin will be winning the lottery and Heidi Klum.

OK can I gut stomp you. It'll hurt me more than it'll hurt you.

  11. I don't think you understand the playoff system, little one. You see the "worst" team in region 6 will be at home sipping hot cocoa. The Fourth-Best team will be visiting Gallatin.

Take your time trying to wrap your brain around that. Read it twice if you have to. Three times is OK, no one will know.

    Do you get it yet?

    How 'bout now?

    Gotten there yet?

Let us know when you have caught up.

    Calvin Short is gone.

Get a grip, your in a weak conference.

Like Riverdale and you get to tee off on teams all year.

Every game is a scrimmage for the state playoffs.

No pressure you'll get some now with red hot Ravenwood.

    Enjoy

  12. Clarification CHS 2007

Nichols is related to Ryan. Has a strong arm, but with the situation that developed right before the Indy game - he wasn't yet ready to step in and take the helm. Next year however, with the offseason to work with Coach Clayton, his brother, and his dad (ex Vandy Star) he will challenge for the top job.

Whether or not that moves Sellers to another position or makes Sellers improve (he already has matured as with on the job training) who knows. I do know he will be on the field - too good an athlete.

The Junior wasn't benched, he left the team after the Fr Ryan game. Old news, personal reasons, no need to dwell on it any further. All parties have moved on.

Nichols is a player and QB suits him. He has got exchanges and drops with the line to the receivers into pass patterns. He is ready. And Sellers they both are a threat to defenses. Dont think for a second his inexperience will hold him back you push his button and he'll deliver.
  13. so is no one gonna go out on a limb and say that centennial pulls the biggest upset in high school football history?

    fine

    i will

forget what i said earlier about franklin by 17

i'm gonna have faith in my team

    centennial by 4

    21-17

i know everyone will think i'm crazy but i have to believe that we can win and we can

OK can I gut stomp you. It'll hurt me, more than it'll hurt you.
  14. you better have faith b/c the only way centennial wins is if GOD has something to do with it (and I'm not trying to be funny). Centennial isn't going to be franklin. they need to try and make a good game of it, and be happy to compete and not get blown out. Centennial needs to get ready for next year. Once the game gets out of hand, they need to start subbing in sophmores and freshmen. Good Luck to both.

Ya all that and some slobber knockers to go.
