  1. I don't know a whole lot about the other teams in this district, but watching the Mactown girls this last weekend, I've gotta say, "You just might want to watch out District 10-A". Oh yes, they have had some let down performances, but "When they are on their game, it is "BEAUTIFUL THING" . I am very excited about the potential of this team and the all the possibilities this season could hold for these ladies. GO GET 'EM WARRIORETTES!

  2. It's very convenient that the quotes used earlier were totally taken out of the context of what it was written for. Thomas Jefferson was one of the most liberal of the Founding Fathers, but even he made mention on a number of occasions that the freedom of religion was important. In his letter to the Danbury Baptists, he made mention of the separation of church and state, but in context it meant that the government should not be able to interfere in free exercise thereof or make any religion a state religion. Fact of the matter is, I think anyone can see that with religion, for the most part, people are happier. I personally see it every day. What in the world is wrong with asking the designer of this world and our bodies to be with our athletes as they play their respective sport? This is rediculous. It makes more sense to me to have a faith in a supreme being than it does to have faith in nothing and think that when I die, that will just be it. Our kids need guidance and protection when they play, and in the unfortunate event someone does get hurt, well, accidents happen. I teach and coach and I cannot imagine what my life would be like as a teacher or a coach without God and being able to ask him to guide me and grant me patience, perseverance, and safety.

Thank you so much for your post. It means so much to parents like myself to know there are teachers and coaches like you who choose not to stand by and let others dictate how you will do your job. By letting the ONE AND ONLY TRUE AND LIVING GOD lead you, you can't go wrong. If our children are not taught that having morals and values is a must....if they are not taught that they will answer for each and every thing they do ....if they are not taught that GOD is there for them even in their darkest hour......if they are not taught to trust in HIM AND ONLY IN HIM......there will be no hope for future generations. And yes, this should all begin in the home first, but how great it is to know they can also hear it and see it in their teachers and coaches. I too am sick to death of others who feel their rights are being infringed upon because I and other Christians exercise OUR rights to exercise OUR freedom of religion. As Christians, WE MUST STAND UP NOW. Do not let the ACLU and others around us, take away our freedom. Even when they say we can't, WE ABSOLUTELY CAN! AMEN !

  3. This is going to be an epic game and atmoshere! I am hoping for rain again, that kicks butt! Again I think I need to dig out the worlds ugliest jersey for this one hahaha.

It was a pleasure to meet you last night. Thanks to Tex in Mactown for bringing you over. My youngest daughter asked me on the way home last night if you were a Titans player because of the jersey. LOL! Again, nice to meet you.

  4. What a season....I am so proud of our team. McEwen Warriors will always be #1 in my book. You didn't give up and you played ball until the end. To Cascade..... "Congratulations." You do have a great team. I do have to say though that I think the players on the field tonight showed a lot more class thansome of the fans they have on this website. Of course I won't mention any names, but the word CASCADE does appear in their Coach T screen name. (I can think of at least two.) I have to say good luck to both Cascade and Jo Byrns. You have both earned the respect of our team. Good luck next week.

  5. Actually, I will step in here and correct you. I haven't been negative toward region 6 at all this year. Last year?? Heck ya. After MP knocked us out of the playoffs last season I haven't been at all negative toward your region. Not picking your team to win in the playoffs doesn't translate into a negative comment. I don't know where you got that from.

If you don't believe me, ask WHOLDER from MP about my attitude toward your region this season. He and I probably had the biggest spat on these boards last year and as far as I know we have been very civil with each other this season.

As for McTownGirl, I gave up that battle a long time ago. Everything that has come out of her mouth all year revolves around the lack of respect for her team and I got tired of it about week four. The only thing I actually got on her about was her statement a couple of weeks ago that if her team played us again right now, they'd beat us for sure. She had no doubt about it!

"A few of them never even came off the field. I don't remember the score, but it was very close until mid way or so of the 3rd quarter. I have no doubt that our guys could beat Cascade right now. None whatsoever...."

Those were my exact words I posted on Oct. 30. Notice the word "Could". I am not quite sure where you interpreted that as "They'd beat us for sure." Oh well.....take it however you want it.

    GO BIG RED!!

  6. Lady, for somebody who reads these boards as much as you, one would think you'd have figured out by now that Logger, Butchie, Trey, and myself enjoy cutting up with each other. The Weenie roast was obviously meant as a joke and every reference to any meeting in two weeks have always been preceded by the statement "If we are both fortunate enough to survive this week". If you feel it is necessary to continuously play the "Little old McEwen ain't getting any respect" card in an attempt to fire your kids up, then by all means Carry ON! I don't think our kids at Cascade need any agitation from me or these boards to be ready to play Friday. Have a safe trip down.

Do I feel our guys get the respect they deserve? No. Are we used to it? Yes. But the difference in you and me is that I don't get on this board and leave posts like the ones you have left me over the last few weeks. I do have more respect for people than to do that. You obviously have trouble in that area. Does this jog your memory:

We'll just a little information for you MACTOWN fans! Cascade was on the field at 8:00 also. I'm extremely happy to see the vote on our game is so one-sided in your favor! MacTown may be just as good as advertised, but I can assure you when you roll into "THE STABLE" nobodys gonna roll out the welcome mat! I've stayed low key, but I'm getting a little tired of the lack of respect the kids are seeing here. YOU BETTER COME READY TO PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have also referred to one of my posts a couple of weeks ago as "CRAP". What is your problem? You can be so rude. It seems like when anyone gets fired up about their team, you go on the offensive (or defensive) and try to set them straight in some way. Just chill out and let them tell you why they are fired up about their team. You don't have to give them a bunch of reasons in black or orange letters as to why they are seeing the whole picture wrong. Everyone has their opinion. Yours is not the only one that counts.

  7. I am looking ahead to week 3 but lucky for all Cascade fans and the program as a whole I do not affect the teams focus because I do not play or coach for the team. Cascades football team will continue to play ball with the business type attitude they have all season. They are not overlooking Mcewen and know they are in for a dog fight. I am speaking as a fan and also think Cascade wins because they have more talent and are the better team all around. I would say that South Pitt and Trousdale Co are better all around than Casacde so I am not one who thinks Cascade is better than every other team I just think they are the better team this coming Friday. Will see if im right or wrong. I have been right for 11 straight weeks so I like my odds.

    GO WARRIORS!!

  8. The boy's are going to try and give the two teams that gave them loses their some pay back.

You've got that right. But don't tell them that. They are already planning a weenie roast here week after next. They can say they aren't overlooking our guys, but I think we know different. But that is really okay. We are so used to being the underdog that we know where we are and what we have to do. Mactown boys will be ready to play Friday night. GO BIG RED!!

  9. Whatever, between the 2 of ya, you would think you'd be smarter than that.

    What you said was,

Maybe we will just stay at home & If I was from Cascade i would go on to the Jo Byrns,Wayne Co. game.

    If that wasn't Sarcasm you stink as a fan. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Wait, wait .....slow down, you are talking too fast for us slow slow slow people from McEwen. We aren't as smart as you. And yes genius, it was sarcasm. (Maybe you aren't as smart as you think you are.)

  10. Congrats also to Mc Town on a well deserved victory and season. You all have been striving to put it all together the past few years, and this year it has come together for you. I didn't get to make it to the game, but listened to the fine play by play calling from our hometown station and it sounded as your defense just simply had our number......Congrats again, and good luck next week.

Thanks for acknowledging how far our guys have come and how hard they have worked to get to where we are this year. There are aspects of our game that need a lot of work and our coaches and team would be the first to admit that. However, our guys do an outstanding job working as a team with what we have. So many of our guys never step off the field and if they do it is only for a play or two. The 25 or so players that we have truly love the game of football and want to play no matter what kind of a team we have. Their hearts are into this team. I don't think many will give us a shot this Friday night, but our team knows we can get the job done. They will leave everything they have on the Cascade field this Friday night. GO WARRIORS!!!!

  11. Rethink what ? i don't see where Mactown has changed at all since the last time

we played. They wear #33 out til he can't go anymore. They got beat by Cascade

& JBS just like the rest of the region. So what is there to rethink ?

No, you are right. We haven't changed a bit since that game. You hit it right on the money. Nothing to rethink. We should all just stay here in Mactown this Friday night. #33 will tire early because you all will flat show him up. He is all we have anyway. You are a genius.

  12. I love you..............you say what i think but have no place to say because I am not a MTP fan. I played against MTP in the quarterfinals twice with Marko Dailey at the helm and even though marko won those games by himself the coaching staff constructed a lot of support for him on offense and made a very good defense. kudo's to the coaches for getting mtp in the playoffs for so many years in a row. some teams would kill to just get into the playoffs. grow up mtp fans.

on a different note to a select few fans. quit being so disrespectful. when i played there on my last game of my senior year in the "jungle" i had mtp fans throwing popcorn on me and telling me that i stunk, even though i started both ways and am now playing college football. not the nicest people i have ever met and your giving mtp a bad name. and most of the people i met there were very nice. but you select few give mtp a bad name. to you few grow up. i was 18 and was more mature than you, who looked like they were in their 30's-40's. and mcewen reported on the same things. support the kids playing, because they deserve better than to be taunted and have food thrown at them. don't blow up on me mtp fans this is just what happened to me. and one of my buddies, who plays for mcewen, told me that mtp fans were telling them that they stunk as they walked into the locker room for halftime. just wanted to get that out there. once again. i am telling the truth so don't blow up on me. good luck to region 5 in the upcoming week.

Yea, I would say they were easily in their early 30's -40's, drunk, standing on their cars jumping up and down at times. (wonder how many more dents they have in it this morning.) Ah, they were so drunk, they probably don't even remember how many it had to begin with, so what is a few more. Unfortunantly, every town has em.

  13. Mcewen had a pretty good Zebra crew, they brought their new rule book that had all kinds of good stuff in it.

Yea, I especially liked the new rule where if you run the time out on the clock, the half is over, and they blow the whistle and say, "Okay, we will put another second on the clock so you can try for a field goal since that last play didn't work for ya." HA! I still can't get over that, even after watching it on film. What were they thinking? It would not have been a pretty sight if we had lost that game by 3 points.

  14. I will now take my crow..... Great game to the Warriors.... Best of luck from here on out..... Tummins was the difference in the second half, he took the game over and all mTp could is watch him run down the field...... mTp was a bit on the flat side and could get nothing going on either side of the ball..... Hope 42 is well......

mTp seniors, it may be over but life is just beginning.

Thanks for the concern. Number 42 is fine. He was fuzzy for a second and then he was okay. He and the coaches decided to take a breather since we we ahead and the game was almost over. He's headed to the field house this morning to ice and get ready for next week. I appreciate the fact you realized he was not on the field. I actually did not even realize it myself for several minutes. Thanks again. GO BIG RED!!

  15. I love those Mactown boys!!!! I knew we could get the job done. We played one heck of a game. I am so proud of every guy on our team.

I'll add to Russel187 post.....to the people in the back parking lot behind us, if you want to curse and threaten the opposing team, you really should pay to get in the game first. I know these were a select few people. The people and the players from MTP were nothing but kind. It is a shame that there will always be the trouble makers who leave a lasting impression.

    Great job Warriors!!!!

  16. What's up with all the McEwen folks this week, Russel? I haven't seen several of your regulars on here much this week? Tex, MGirl, Mballer??? Why no posts?

I just think it is pointless to argue about all of the CRAP like what is being argued about on the 5 vs. 6 thread. We know our boys can win this game. MTP obviously has a very good team. We are just trying to stay focused for Friday night. Some OTHERS who post here argue almost to the point of stroke level and that simply makes no sense. When someone has an opinion, OTHERS feel "how dare they!" and "I'm sick of this CRAP!" So, what is the point of posting? Like I said before, our guys can win this game. MTP can also win this game. I know that our guys are going to go out on the field Friday night and play with every ounce of heart they can muster. Getting on here and acting like we are so much more SUPERIOR than every one else, what is the point? (Talk about needing a piece of humble pie? ) Our guys will take care of business on the field Friday night. GO WARRIORS!!!

  17. McEwen doesnt match up well with MTP... MTP to fast and big up front MTP-35 McEwen-7

35 - 7 ? We played them a closer game than that last year and Marco was in the picture. Our guys will regroup this week and be ready to play on Friday. Friday night was one of the most unusual games I have ever seen. I believe each team had 4 fumbles each with one fumble following another fumble by the other team on the very next play. CRAZY!! Both teams were wound way too tight. It really could have gone either way. We have a great group of guys who will regain their focus and show up to play ball on Friday night. GO BIG RED!! I know you will make us proud.

  18. C11, your normally pretty cool... I don't see what the deal is... If you sick of reading the crap on hear I would think that you wouldn't look here, or definetly not post on a McEwen - JBS thread, being as you are a Cascade fan and don't directly deal/represent either team... Seems to me that this is a self imposed illness... can't help you there bud... As far as bs, I put the ET endzone candy thing in there as a joke, thought it would be funny...

JBS community... hope you have a safe trip down and back, enjoy your visit, but have a long, sad ride home...

If McEwen wins tonight it will be the first hosted playoff game in roughly 10 years...

    GOOD LUCK AND GO WARRIORS...

Hosting the first round would be cool. GO BIG RED!!!

  19. I'm so sick of reading a bunch of CRAP on here lately. I hope ya'll serve up some HUMBLE pie tonight! Save an extra slice for McTownGirl!

I don't understand why my post is crap. I simply said that our boys would be ready to play tonight. Yes, I am proud of our team. And I never said anything about a two man show. Where did that come from? I really don't care if you read another post with my name on it. By the way, I really don't care for pie, so you can have the entire thing. I can't think of anyone on here who deserves it more than you do.

  20. C11, McEwen has obviously improved since then...

If you take away the 4 turnovers... how close do you think the game would have been...

Honestly, was Cascade the far superior team, or was it somewhat even... Didn't get to make it to that one... well didn't want to make the drive on a Friday... I made it two years ago in a van and it felt like forever... It was pretty cool going through Shelbyville though... What was that movie that came out a little bit ago that was shot in shelbyville...

Take away those turnovers and the whole game would have been a different story. It was raining the entire game and our guys were absolutely worn out. A few of them never even came off the field. I don't remember the score, but it was very close until mid way or so of the 3rd quarter. I have no doubt that our guys could beat Cascade right now. None whatsoever.
