the 112 class will shock every one. there will be kid who has wrestled less than 10 matches this year. he will probably win the tourney. i am not ssying names but just get ready ask yourself Who is this kid?

Come on ol Guy, spit it out! Unless he's a transfer it probally won't be a BIG SUPRISE!

If it is Roddy, How do these guy's shrink? That would be the second wrestler that dropped from 119 to 112 this year? Both went to state last year @ 119.

Thanks,

So how does Roddy get 2nd seed?

Not complaining, just wondering?

I understand King- Seymour and the Fulton kids spot. I know Roddy has been injured did he beat King earlier?

I haven't had a chance to see Roddy go this year. Should be interesting.

My pick on finish is:

119lb-

Maryville

?

Fulton

?

Roddy is the unknow factor for me!

Roddy is 119 and he got the "2" spot because of the criteria. 2 or 3 spot really doesn't matter, same part of the bracket. Came down to season record and prev state qualifier.

None of this is going to matter come Fri. and Sat. The one's that win the matches that they need to win will be standing on the podium Sat. evening. Bottom line. :thumb: IMO, rankings/seedings are nothing more than ego builders, or a motivator for those unranked/unseeded. We've all seen surprises at regions and state, I doubt this year will be any different.

Good luck to all! "Let's get it on".

MB1, did fholdybutgoody go on a vacation or did someone from your side shut him up? Need to know if I should bring my bodyguard with me to Alcoa?

Ever since th little debate about our region duals things have really got quite.

OK, RCP you need to start something.

So do U think your boys can take higher than 2nd in the region. Will Farragut fll out of the top 5!

Suspense or something like that.

Here's a little prayer for our warriors this weekend.

Father of Mercy, now, God, as we mount up with wings like eagles be near us. As we enter this time of danger we pray to you, O Lord, who created the universe and the very air we breathe. We ask Lord, that you would bring to our minds all of the skills that we have been taught. We ask Lord, that just as you stilled the water that you still the air. We pray, O God, that we might be granted safety from travel and all the devices of the enemy; and for courage so that we might perform our mission with success and honor. Finally, our Father, when this time is over, we ask that you remind us to offer up prayers of thanksgiving, so that we might remember the courage you have granted us now when we choose between right and wrong in the future. To your glory we offer this mission and this prayer.

Amen.

The Warriors Pledge

Oh warrior, my brother, my sister: We once prepared for battle, and served our causes as best we could. Perhaps we are stained by blood shed by others, or carry scars from our own wounds. Yet our task is not complete until we have acknowledged one another. Oh warrior, my brother my sister, I offer to you the following: I will honor your experience of service, recognizing that while your cause may not be mine, the terrors of war bind us together. I will listen to your story, and share with you my own for without each other we cannot know the truth, nor can we tell the story to our children.

I will value your life, even though in the past we may have sought to destroy one another and may indeed have destroyed lives precious to each other, today your life is precious to me. I will give you the gift of my presence, that we may know each other as the warriors we are, complete our task, and welcome each other into our homes.

    • This scenario resonates with the dynamics observed in my hometown of Hartsville. The undue influence of politics on high school sports remains a pervasive issue, detracting from the integrity of athletic programs.  The proliferation of individuals driven by a thirst for power inevitably precipitates the downfall of any program. It appears that we are currently grappling with similar challenges akin to those faced by Greenback. Please accept my condolences for your ordeal.
    • From what we are hearing on the reservation we will be lucky to beat sunbright. And trust me I am not throwing stones at them because they play their hearts out. It’s a tuff game every year, just like Oakdale but when you have small numbers that’s what you get. And then you add in that you loose two top linemen and the starting qb!!!! Along with a running back!  We are in deep trouble.
    • The coach's departure ensued due to the absence of backing from the board members, compounded by the unsettling revelation that one board member persistently surveilled him, verging on conduct akin to harassment. Furthermore, it appears that meeting the expectations of this community remains an unattainable feat, as even a hypothetical scenario of clinching five consecutive state championships would likely not suffice to quell discontent. The current situation is fraught with complications, primarily stemming from applicants for the position who have cultivated relationships with board members known to have opposed the former coach.
    • Yes it big when you only have 30 players last year and that is counting 8th graders it is huge!!!!!!! And this year they are starting a middle school team and the 8th graders will be on it. Until their season is over. That is a plus to having a K-12 school. The eighth graders can play on high school football. And yes we have used them a lot in the past few years.
    • Was the Coach fired? I thought I had read here or somewhere that he had elected to leave himself and pretty sure some folks on here had already been eluding to his departure well in advance of him actually acknowledging it. Or did the principal can him and then in turn get canned him/herself for this action?  From the sounds of it, i don't know if this or the Clinton situation is more of a mess.
