Took a whole day because I had surgery to perform and believe me that was more important than your boy response. So, I do have a life to save peoples lives. And, my mom is dead. So there you go. And, I do remember all of your comments about the girls who could not do their job on the field to help your daughter. So come on big boy, why don't you grow a pair so you can talk some real talk. Let me set the record straight - you do not have to dumb it down for me - I understand 5 languages perfect and English is one of them. You, on the other hand have a problem understanding one or, at least, writing in one language. So, get your dictionary out and bring on the big words. REACH REACH REACH for a little more, ryann665. When you have 15, 16, 17, and 18 year old kids - really, they were worn out. What did they do to get worn out, play a couple of games - WOW - I think it is called no accountability of play on the field. I guarantee the teams who will win the State will be more tired than your team and will have accomplished something. I guarantee the girls playing in the College World Series will be more tired, but your girls were tired - poor things. I guarantee you they were up and about 15 minutes after the game. So tired is a crock. At least my team didn't choke and are still playing - wow, I hope they don't get tired.

Love the reference to Seagraves, ryann665. But to me you and another one from last year, Price, I think from Cookeville, decided to throw his name out there when his daughter was graduating. You, too, are throwing your name out there when your daughter is graduating. WOW, how brave of you two!!! You all want everyone to know who you are NOW THAT YOUR DAUGHTERS ARE GRADUATING. SO VERY BRAVE! The truth is the truth and you either like it or you don't - I don't care. But, if you and wrongway want to turn away from the truth, that is on you all. I love everybody's using the text type of words when writing - that shows your ignorance, or using the words "cuz", there is ignorance for you. And, as for my screen name, YES, YOU BETTER BELIEVE I HAVE IT AND I AM USING IT because I can, you could until you offered us your name on your on time, and everybody else is using it too. I'll get off Warren Co. back when I feel like it. You are just mad because you all have choked every year for the district title. You ran a piss poor tournament, and you all have a pathetic field. Period. Anybody who has played on that field knows that. And, your home cooking umpires got you games during the season and by White Co and Cookeville for one game each in the tournament, and you faltered after that. Hurts when you are used to the umpires conveniently not seeing two unbelievable interference calls where the runner completely ran over the fielder trying to make a play. Not to mention the home cooked home plate umpires calling strikes where the ball bounces on the plate numerous times in a game. SO KARMA!!! So, I'll get off their back when they do something. Right now, they ain't done nothing.

Just thought I would let everyone know - I have just held in my hand, two All District selections from two Districts, not including this one. AND, it is a COMPLETE ETMBARRASSMENT for the girls in this District to receive a laminated piece of paper. Two other Districts I have had kids play for, received plaques with their name on it. VERY NICE PLAQUES NOT AND 11X8.5 PIECE OF PAPER. I have never been into participation trophies, but we are talking HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL ALL DISTRICT. I have said it before and will say it again and I'm sure I will be criticized, but this District was a P I S S POOR RUN TOURNAMENT! When our kids got together and everyone brought their District All District trophies, all were VERY NICE EXCEPT THIS DISTRICT. And to the one who said it is on the coaches, individually, I will say, that is an EXCUSE. I have now talked to District Coaches from 8 Districts and all gave out Plaques for the All District Regular Season. Once again, P I S S POOR in this District. The Tournament Director should feel ashamed. And, someone commented about how the District should change, well, I too, think it should. Any sexual verbal abuse toward players or coaches should result in those people being banded from all competition. The field is just the field, play on it, but at least make it regulation size for high schools and cut the grass!!!. KEEP THE COACHES INSIDE THE DUGOUT!!! Keep White Co assistant coach - as long as he is calling the pitches we will continue to beat them. Inside fastball, outside fastball and the occasional change up to a batter who swings late. We will win a few more with him. Get rid of the attitude by some of these entitled athletes. I just rather not ever see them play. A few notes, of course, changes will not be made until people stand up for what is right and do the right thing, which is not always the thing you want for your team. But the right thing is the right thing!

Well, just like people have said earlier - KARMA - when your team wins in the tournament because of home cooking by the umpires, IT ALWAYS COMES BACK TO HAUNT YOU! KARMA, Warren County.

Ryan665, i usually respect your comments and you as a person on this board. And, I respect you comments on this particular read, but, I did not blame the game on the umpires, if that is what you want to call them last night. The umpires DID IN FACT not just miss a call, they blatantly made a HORRIFIC NO CALL and intentionally walked back to their positions after smiling at the Warren crowd. Did this cost White the game, probably not, but it cost White two runs with two outs. Thus the game would have gone into extra innings. Then who knows. The ultimate reason Warren scored their runs was two errors on right field, one throwing error on second that went into the dugout, an error on third who threw the ball after the girl was on first, and the catcher who stood up to make a sliding tag at home. Those are the reason Warren scored. So honestly, Warren scored only on errors. White did that to themselves, but the so called umpires had no idea what they were doing in this game. Bad calls are all day long in a game, that was not a bad call, it was a horrific NO CALL and the Warren coach stood and watched and he was totally shocked. So, believe me, umpires this season alone have been horrible in every way, but in not knowing the game is not a excuse. Warren is the best team, but you are right, Cookeville is primed right now, after whipping Rhea Co.

I just watched an amazing game tonight. But, I Hate seeing umps take the game out of the teams hands. ANYBODY who watched Warren and White play, knows what a horrific call was not made tonight when White had a two run lead on Warren - I mean anybody with any softball knowledge, except the two stupid umpires, knows a Warren player ran completely into Whites shortstop, as she was trying to field the ball! NO CALL by either pathetic umpire who did not have the marbles to call the Warren player out. Whether you are a Warren or White fan that was a horrendous NO CALL, I mean, if you are honest you know it was! That put two runs on the board for Warren and tied the game. Warren had no answer for Whites pitcher, who is by far, the best pitcher in this District and proved it tonight! You see Warren won the game 7-5, but two errors by White's right field, a stupid error on a thrown ball by second and third and Warren wins, but believe me Warren knows they are VERY LUCKY tonight! Umpires who take the game out of the players hands are pathetic! For two days, the umpires have been horribly unqualified, do not know the rules, and have a pathetic strike zone - inconsistent and stupid!

This was a sad game for Cumberland Co - I don't think I would say they had White beat all the way till the 7th, I mean, yes, because White couldn't hit the pitcher, who like you say, picks and chooses when she wants to pitch. But, Cumberland could not hit the White Co pitcher, whose only run was because of a ball hit to right field and the player stopped, looked and let the ball bounce 6 inches in front of her with no effort to pick it up. But, the score was 1-0 until the 7th inning and White had left 10 people on base during the game. But you are right, errors, three of them allowed White to get the bases loaded for the first year player to hit a booming shot to left field and score three. Then Cumberland had their chance to score in the bottom of 7, getting a couple of hits, then White's pitcher did her job getting Cumberland to hit easy grounders and a fly ball to end the game. I will say, as you mentioned, Cumberlands first did a good job. She hustled all night and I liked her attitude, which was, I'll just let my game do my talking". Good game overall. And, I agree, the first game was not much. Rhea just is the better team and will give all out effort. Their speed is the difference in any game. Unreal how fast they are. Stone is playing without their coach, who does a good job, just not a lot of talent there. They have had some good games this season, just not last night. Tonight will be Cookeville and Rhea, which will be a barn burner - I look for Rhea to take this one. and Warren and White, which i see Warren taking. Again, Rhea's speed is the key and Warren is just a solid team. Now, if White's pitcher was allowed to pitch her pitches, this would be a big time game, but, ignorance of knowing how to call pitches doesn't allow that to happen from what I hear.

Rhea and White have the best Centerfielders. It would be fun to see these two go head to head against each other and if Whites center wasn't playing college basketball, she would have gone D1 as well. Warren and Cookeville have the best catchers. Cumberland first baseman is the best, White and Warren have the best Pitchers, White and Warren have the best Shortstops. Not sure on third or second. Hard to tell on the other outfielders. But who knows who the coaches will vote on. Usually their favorite, not necessarily the best overall. Stone has a couple of players who have gotten better as the season went along, and someone will receive an All District from that team just not sure who. Warren does have the best team, hands down. There has been no consistency in the district this year by teams, some good play and some horrendous play and hopefully the ones with horrendous play will not be recognized. I think you reward those who are accountable for their play, who work hard every day at practice, who have great attitudes, those who never stop hustling. Accountability is the Name of the Game!

Cumberland won over Rhea Co, I had wondered about Cumberland since they had taken a tumble over the last couple of weeks. Wow, I guess I was wrong on your catcher, I had seen her make some great plays, but that was in three or four games not over the whole season. The tournament should be a good one to watch, so many of the teams are just right together and have had some good games. Overall, the season has been a good one, with some good plays and some not so good plays, but at least there has been some parity. Looking forward to seeing the tournament, I think it is in Warren Co.

Well, dore83, you certainly said a mouthful, without any knowledge of what is going on in this district or this team as I was referring to. So, I will say, in capitals, I HAVE BEEN A COLLEGE COACH, I HAVE SEEN THE GAME WHERE KIDS ARE REQUIRED TO BE ACCOUNTABLE AND MOST KIDS OF TODAY ARE NOT ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS ON THE FIELD OR OFF. And, I live by making a kid ACCOUNTABLE and if you or anybody else does not like that requirement, then I personally do not care. I watched a game between Rhea County and White County, watching kids who do not deserve to play this great game. I say, if they are not accountable for their actions and they keep happening over and over and over again, that kid does not deserve to play on the dirt field. PERIOD. As far as my open talking about a kid, believe me, I WOULD SAY THE SAME THING TO THEIR FACE, THEY EITHER DO IT THE RIGHT WAY OR I WILL FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL. And, since you were not at the games I have seen you do not see what I have posted. Leaving home plate unattended was exactly as I said, she left home unattended, and with first and pitcher going for a ball, she left for no reason. So, I was there you were not, it is as I said, for no reason. As for Michael Dodgen, no body said he was the second coming, I said he was the best thing that has happened to White County Softball in the last 4 years and he is. I have watched them play a few times and the games are the same with the same kids doing the same things over and over and over again, no changes ever over the last four years. I have helped kids become better everyday for the last fifty years and I will tell you, if these kids can not take CRITICISM then they don't deserve the game. If they are not ACCOUNTABLE, THEY DON'T DESERVE THE GAME. I seen high school players LOSE scholarships because they have horrible attitudes, LAZY and unaccountable so not everyone sees your point of view. But, you know what, not everyone sees my point of view, and that is fine. But, I will tell you this, KIDS HAVE TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE and I am so sorry you feel like you need to come here and tell me I don't have the right to talk about someone -I do not care how old they are, they still have to work to deserve this great game, but to accept they don't need to hustle, they don't need to play hard, they don't need to be accountable, well that is not me. Dodgen is bringing that ACCOUNTABILITY BACK TO WHITE COUNTY, HE IS THE BEST THING FOR WHITE COUNTY - He is working to brush off the old coaches UNACCOUNTABILITY for past seasons. So, to your comment about me having issues with the kid in my post, not in any way, I HAVE ISSUES WITH KIDS WHO ARE NOT ACCOUNTABLE AND HAVE HORRIBLE ATTITUDES and my thoughts to you, teach the kids they are not ENTITLED, they do not DESERVE EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD, teach them they have to work hard, from the ground up, teach them to be respectable, and, as the GREAT PAT SUMMITT WOULD SAY, "SUCK IT UP, BUTTERCUP" and believe me they would be better off in life and in athletics. I understand you are mad, that is fine, I am not mad, I am calm because I know what i witnessed and I know I can not stand how ENTITLEMENT has be given to these kids and I will continued to let these kids know, they are ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR EVERY ACTION IN LIFE AND ON THE FIELD. Absolutely agree with you, momofoneplayer, so many levels! I may be incorrect on the Cumberland catcher, but the games I have seen her play, she has done amazing, but have not seen her play every game, only half of their games. And, I completely agee on the first baseman being an ALL DISTRICT player, she certainly fits the bill on that. She is a VERY GOOD player who deserved that honor!!!!! I also have seen Cookevilles catcher and she is one of the best as well in the district, based on watching her team play DeKalb, Warren, and Cumberland. Now, I drove almost two hours yesterday to watch Rhea play White, not sure why I put myself into the position to be completely disgusted, but I love to watch kids from the travel ball team my kid plays on. I love to watch Rhea County Leah Price coach - She is one of the BEST at having her kids prepared for their games. She got off to a slow start, and they are lacking in a power pitcher, but her players know how to run bases, know how to play fundamental softball in the infield and outfield. Rhea County, of course, beat White Co in a double header and one of the reasons for the losses were, White County had a couple of kids who DO NOT LISTEN to their HEAD COACH while running the bases. And, now, mind you White County Head Coach is Michael Dodgen and he is smart, quick thinking, will fight for his kids, as shown with a HORRIFIC CALL by the field umpire who was pathetic, by the way. I am totally DISGUSTED seeing one of our kids for White County pitch her heart out and lose the games to STUPID ERRORS or players who can not move two steps to get to a ball. I am totally disgusted seeing this kid be subjected to only throwing FASTBALL after FASTBALL after FASTBALL - the kid has four moving pitches for goodness sake and who ever it is calling her pitches is as stupid as they come. He needs to see her play in a tournament where she throws drops, curves, rises and change ups because she is a great pitcher brought down by total ignorance of the game. Yes, I call it like I see it and my opinion is: if you don't know the game, DON'T COACH and DON'T TRY TO CALL PITCHES, because every coach I talked to is laughing, knowing they will be inside or outside fastballs and they are licking their chops. ANYBODY CAN HIT A FASTBALL!!!!!! Believe me this man does not know the game. Oh, he did call five or six change ups, but fastball inside and fastball outside. I know, I read his pitches all night, sitting across from him and by the second inning of the first game, I was calling what he was going to call for the rest of the game, missing only on five pitches through out the night. White County is FAR BETTER with Michael Dodgen, SO MUCH BETTER ON DEFENSE, Better Hitting the Ball, Better Hustle, Better ATTITUDE, BETTER OVERALL than they have been in the last four years. But still they have three players with HORRIBLE ATTITUDES who would not ever play on our teams. The CATCHER, just like you said, "WHEW" does not deserve to play that position - she dropped 11 pitches last night, she left home open with no one to cover, for no reason, can not FRAME A PITCH and I checked her laziness - it took her 33 seconds to walk from the pitchers circle to finally getting in her position at catcher before getting the pitches to get to the pitcher. YES, 33 seconds. SHE WALKED THAT SLOW TO HER POSITION. She can hit but a catcher, she isn't. I have watched their first baseman catch and she is by far the BEST CATCHER on the TEAM and possibly in the DISTRICT, but she doesn't even get to catch. GO FIGURE!
