SP/Hoover is not a for sure thing just yet but i have my fingers crossed. i'm not sure about the other teams you asked about other than i saw where they may be having some sort of classic type thing in louisiana with several OOS teams and Meridian/oak grove/madison central are being thrown around as maybe participating

Well that is good news! Did not wanna lose this game. Looking forward to heading to your place this year. Heard it was a beautiful facility. Also wanted to keep the game for strength of schedule purposes. With mus and possibility of a Hoover match up as well our ooc will be pretty tough

i heard back around Christmas that MUS was wanting to get out of the SP game. now that was certainly not from anyone within the SP program so take with grain of salt

as of right now i know of no one else scheduled. we do 2 year scheduling contracts and 09 was year 1 so unless we do a 1 year type of game for TV (like the apopka fl last year). yes SP is playing much better right now, we were a very young team and literally grew up each week. right now imo SP is a nationally top 10 type team. earlier this year we were not. playing MUS helped for sure SP finished in top 10 of USA today from '03 to '07 but every year we were preseason unranked or in 20's

7 teams in the USA today poll lost this weekend. no excuse for MUS not to be ranked. does TN have any large newspapers owned by Garnett news services? they run USAT and MS jackson clarion ledger. they generally only have 1 MS school ranked at a time and its always who the CL have as their #1 team. coincidence? maybe but just a thought.

in panola county you have 5A SP with about 1200 students and Norht Panola who is 3A and no clue on enrollment. then private school is North Delta the are now class A in MPSA

where are they located? forgive me for saying this as it isnt intended as a put down but i haven't heard of them until the other day

actually i just said Brentwood and not high. didnt know there was a BHS. i knew the private schools were usually better, but i didnt know how close Riverdale and Brentwood or Maryville and McCallie would be on the field. living in Batesville all i usually here of TN football is Memphis and Shelby county schools. so i wasnt sure how good they are when in comparison with the rest of the state. thanks for all the help guys

i guess i mean who would be considered the South Panola of TN. if there was a tourny with one team from each state, who would you want representing TN? is Germantown one of the better teams?

i'm not to familiar with TN hs ball, which program would be considered the best in TN. i know, Maryville, MBA, Brentwood, Mcallie, Alcoa, Riverdale and Melrose are always pretty stout but who is considered the best?

not all SP fans are slamming OB. and it certainly wasn't just SP fans doing it either. i for one don't think it was that big of a deal. you can only do so much to ease up, at some point the other team has to wanna keep you from scoring. just my opinion

there is no open enrollment in MS, and there are no players from outside SP's school distric on the team. SP has an excellent coaching staff and they run and lift weights year round. example, the very next day after winning their third strait MS 5a title the underclassmen were running bleachers. the carver game last year wasn't quite as tough as the score may indicate. SP had a 26-0 or 26-7 lead at half. Carver's QB had an outstanding night that night as well. SP averaged over 12 yards a carry that night. that game was like a scrimmage, as SP worked on the little bit of a passing game as they have.
