  1. Hey smart guy, Briarcrest missed the enrollment quota by roughly 25 kids and had no choice whether they could stay put or move up. You can thank/hate Harding and St. Benedict as the votes that help put them there two years. But as your name so clearly states, things for you AT A GLANCE. By the way how many state title rings have you got, no matter what the division it is still an accomplishment to be proud of.

I have two state title rings from the toughest division in the state, d2AAA. In fact, to go along with my two state title rings are two consecutive wins over Briarcrest. Any team that loses to St. George's should be banned from ever stepping on the field again. Also, if you're going to post please make it readable, i.e. "But as your name so clearly states, things for you AT A GLANCE."

  2. It is not Coach Freeze's fault Ole Miss is so bad this year. When he left Briarcrest two years ago we were state champions. He is a great offensive mind and a very good coach. He can also coach girls basketball. Briarcrest won several girls state championships under Coach Freeze. One of his girls teams was ranked 9th in the country by USA Today at one time.

Briarcrest is an embarrassment to div II AAA and should have never been put in that division. When they won their state title they did so in the weak AA conference. Maybe Briarcrest should go find some more "student" athletes from the inner city to help out there program since it seemed to work the first time.

  3. Do you Memphis fans think that the departure of the Masseys (and maybe more significantly Tyler Massey) has contributed to what appears to be a "down" MUS team?

There are a lot of things that have contributed to this team not doing what the past two have. Not have Coach Massey is a big loss, but Tyler leaving was a bigger loss. Massey was the hardest runner and leading rusher from a year ago and is very talented. However, the offensive line had to replace the interior positions with guys who haven't played at the varsity level before this year. Prokell is not there to make big plays and on defense the secondary from one year ago was irreplaceable.

  4. I completely agree that Park has no support. I think this will be a close game that will come down to the last minutes of the fourth quarter. This is a rivalry game. It will be a great one to watch.

Couldn't agree more with you. Last week's game showed how much Park misses his weapons of last season. This game is going to be close because it is such a rivalry. I really don't know who to pick in this one but I will be pulling for MUS. Remember MUS has to win 2 of their last 3 games to make the playoffs so they will definitely be feeling the pressure in this one.

  5. You haven't made your typical idiotic statements this time so I really don't have anything to disagree with you. Feel free to be yourself and make some completely wrong comment as usual so I can shoot you down again.

On another note, this series used to be very one sided in that the MUS teams had an underlying fear of BA and just could never put it together on game night against the eagles. In 2004, that "fear" went away and the owls saw that they could compete with the powerhouse that is Brentwood Academy. With that said, yes BA does have a very talented team this year, especially in the backfield. MUS has had trouble stopping the run as seen against Baylor. However, I think that MUS will win this one easily if Park is on his game. If not then it will be a close game that could easily go either way. Good luck to both teams, but GO OWLS!!!

I think BA has a very good team this year probably one of their better teams in a while. If I were a PROGNOSTICATOR or a betting man id have to go with Brentwood hands down. Hopefully the owls can pull this one out but the chances are slim I fear. What does everyone else think?

Awaiting criticism on cold hard facts by Ataglance.

  6. Looking at the rest of MBA's schedule, I'm not sure if they can make it. Ryan, BA, McCallie, and Baylor are all very talented teams and I don't think the Big Red can win two. The one thing MBA has on their side is a history of beating all of these teams, but as we have seen this year, that really doesn't matter at all. It will sure be weird if MBA is not in the playoffs given their success in the Super 8.

  7. "Bauber, you are rediculous" LOL Heard that one before so join the club. Hrmm thrown out? I don't recall that and I was playing so... Speaking the truth is now considered criticism? That is a new one to me. I am glad you know who I am but keep your identity a secret. All I have ever said is the team is young and that hurts like my junoir year(2003). I find it funny that anyone who knows anything about football agrees with my comments. Kudos to you being a long time follower of MUS football from your statements you obviously are either very ignorant or extremely stupid. If you had read my statements on the Nease game I put the fault on the coaches not the team so you really need to get your facts straight before you try to say anything to me. Not making a very positive impact on the players this year? Is that supposed to make me not say the truth or shake in my boots? HAHA (Maybe a coach in disguise?...) I have always given ECS credit because they always bring a good game plan and play very hard. Heinz is an exceptional coach. I agree that MUS did not play their best against ECS. Turnovers killed MUS in that game but that is part of the game.

Yeah I was an average player on the field that is why I was 1 of 4 who signed to go play college football? And I don't ever recall claiming to be the best player... I like how you make stuff up though. You seem like a typical MUS parent. Arrogant and thinking your excrement doesn't stink. I like your post; you have added some humor to my day. Your words are hollow and meaningless maybe you should waste your time somewhere else. Looking forward to your hotheaded response but I digress. This should be a close game you have 2 former coaches from MUS coaching at baylor that should make things interesting to say the least. I pick MUS by 3!!

It kills me how whenever you're confronted about your criticism of MUS you come back and pick them in your next post to make it sound like you're a huge supporter. Nice guess on figuring that I'm a coach or parent. I too Bauber am a former player. Maybe getting hit in the head one to many times when you were actually playing and not sitting on the bench after being pulled is why you're so ignorant, but last time I checked, not being a total douchbag to the players, coaches, and entire football community is just common courtesy for an MUS alum. You can keep blowing your own horn about being one of four to play in college to make yourself feel better, but I know how that turned out for ya. You should know as a former player that anything said on this website, whether it be the truth or not, will be heard by the team. Maybe it's your strategy to ###### the guys off so they play better, but to everyone but yourself, you're just being an arrogant alum who thinks he is something special cause he won a state title when he was a senior and had a chance to play at the next level. Way to represent the school in a positive manner dude. Nice.

  8. Have you even seen MUS play this year?... They are anything but good in my opinion. They are very young and lack explosiveness, speed, str, etc... Their offense is very weak and their defense is not much better. This years team in no way compares to the last two years. Now that being said I have no idea what baylor has or how bad/good they are.

Bauber, you are ridiculous. All I ever see on pages about MUS is you criticizing the team and acting like they don't know how to play the game. You say you are a former player, but I can't imagine anyone that was a teammate of yours liking you. As a follower of MUS football for quite some time I remember you on the field. You seemed like an average player who I recall was thrown out of a couple of games during the 2004 season. I'm sure that gave your teammates plenty of reason to have faith in you. I am sick and tired of you criticizing MUS. You did criticized the team last year at times and if I remeber correctly, that team was arguably the best in the state. I promise that you are not making a positive impact on the MUS players this year and as an alum what you should be doing is lifting them up. Yes, this team has struggled early on, but their losses have come to two very good teams. ECS deserves more credit than people are giving them and it didn't help that the owls didn't play their best. As for the game this week, I too think it will be close. Baylor has a very talented backfield and Massey will challenge the young MUS secondary. However, I pick MUS to win this game because of the incredible emotion they will be playing with. GO OWLS!!!!
