  1. Spring Hill splitting with Cascade now makes the series with Marshall County and Page huge for them. Not that it already wasn't.
  2. You're a little late with your reply. I have already replied to my own post regarding that. See below or previous page. Thanks! "Spring Hill with a good sweep. Just goes to show that you can't by records. They have played a tough schedule so far. 3 losses are to Summertown which will more likely be a Class A State Tournament Team again this year since they didn't lose anyone. I think the sweep backs up my earlier statement that the district championship still goes through the Raiders!"
  3. Spring Hill 5 Giles County 4 SH wins on a 1 out walk off 2 RBI single by Freshman 1B Dunston. Tough way to lose a game but also an awesome way to win a game. Great ball game!
  4. I've heard rumor of a fight between Santa Fe and Mt. Pleasant players on Monday. Anyone have news or details. What happens for here for the players? Suspended for a couple games?

I think the sweep backs up my earlier statement that the district championship still goes through the Raiders! Giles County sweeps Cascade! Great start for the Bobcats. Anyone have a score for the Page vs Marshall County game?
  6. Good wins for both Spring Hill and Page.
  7. Spring Hill vs CPA - I'd say CPA may get the sweep in this one but the lefty from SH may prove different. Marshall County vs Page - Haven't seen MC. Page has quality pitching. Should be a good match up. Cascade vs Giles County - Doesn't look like Cascade has missed a beat with the move up to Class AA. Haven't seen GC but I'm sure this will also be some good games.
  8. Summertown played a total of 5 games if you include the Championship Game in which they beat Spring Hill 5-1. No doubt Summertown is impressive.
  9. Wayne County was not at the tournament. Collinwood looks young and struggled but I believe they got a few wins.
  10. Page 6 Lawrence County 3 Lawrence County 12 Spring Hill 3
  11. First half fouls... CA - 9 Meigs - 2 Columbia Academy had 2 players foul out. I don't think the refs where great but Columbia Academy did not help their cause by playing bad. Plan and simple Columbia Academy played bad. Columbia Academy big man missed easy shots over and over early and often. One of the players that fouled out was basically a non factor early in the first quarter after foul # 2. Cary twins carried Columbia Academy basically doing all they could do. Meigs had way too many scoring options. Multiple players for Meigs hurt CA. The players coming off the bench knocked down open shots early in the 3rd that really hurt. Once that started the flood gates opened even after CA made a run at the end of the 3rd. The player for Meigs that guarded the big man done a great job. Meigs out rebounded, out shot, out defensed, out hustled, etc... Columbia Academy. Meigs was the better team. It's not all on the refs. Congrats to Columbia Academy on an outstanding season. Good luck to Meigs Friday.
  12. Summertown lost to Lawrence County 4-1 on Monday. Beat Spring Hill 8-1 on Tuesday. Looked very impressive on Tuesday IMO.

  14. Players too watch: Columbia Academy Drew Thornton Michael Marlin Blake Luna Scott Lentz Cornersville David Looney Culleoka William Fly Chuck Adams Summertown Konnor Ambrose Timmy Beard Bryce Giles Mt. Pleasant Brady Gill Collinwood Jace Brewer Most of these teams will be in Lorreto this weekend. Going to be exciting to see so many teams play. What are the other top players and predictions on how they all finish. I say Columbia Academy and Summertown will be the top teams in the Region but anything can happen. Pitching will be the factor. Fly, Brewer, and Looney can make it tough on teams when they play Culleoka, Collinwood, and Cornersville.
  15. As always the District Championship will have to go through Spring Hill and Marshall County. Both teams are usually at the top each year. Until someone knocks them off then that is who I got to go with. I think Giles County and Page could be tough as well. New comer Cascade will make some noise. They have been solid in the past. Well coached.

  21. I'm curious why this has not been in the Daily Herald. Usually changes like this hit the press pretty quick. Just earlier this week the DH ran an article about Columbia Academy searching for a new girls basketball coach after making the prior coach step down. I like to know more on this story.

    12AA 2013

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned on here. Kolton Miley from Hickman County passed away due to injuries from a car accident. I'm sure everyone associated with 12AA baseball remembers him. He was the big 6-4 kid that wore # 28. I had the opportunity to coach him the 2011 and 2012 summers. Super kid! Very polite and always had a smile on his face. He loved the game of baseball! He had a passion for it. Reminded me of an old school player. He could run into a high fastball and hit it a long ways. I know that the Hickman County Community is still in shock over a week later. I personally am still in shock over it. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
