See if you agree with me on this, these people that say the veer is an outdated offense, what about the I, the wing t, the shotgun. All of those have been around long enough that they are very easy to defend. Hear me out, if you play "assignment" football anything can be stopped!! I have saw in person one team that plays assignment football and that is why they have so many gold balls. If you wanna go the updated offense route where do you go?? The double-wing, the single-wing, heck maybe even no-one in the backfield just line all lineman up and run variations of the fumbleroskie!! All anyone has to do is teach 10-15 basic plays and run the them to perfection, ala the golden balls again!! Athletes have to fit a system, some up years some down years!! Who cares!! Let's get behind this football program, and best of luck to "GUT".

Hut, coming from a seasoned coach do you think the veer is outdated!! I know we didnt run it when you were here, but i think that was more personnel than anything?? With the people we have in the system now I have my doubts to if it will work this year, but there are some horses come up from the middle schools, that IMO can run it!! Good luck with the keys' this year!!

If the veer is an outdated offense, how does CN run it so well? With that Gut spent most of his football playing days running the veer!! AA linemen at CN anchoring the whole system, he knows how to run it, and run it well!! He's gonna get the job done!! Just hope all the kids buy in!!

Hey tnrecruiter come on big man and lets here what you have to say about this thread!! Warlock where you at on this too, i dont think any of you know anything about what real football is about!! Come on and fess up so we can all find out what you really do know about jefferson county football. And for who said on the last thread about jeff county that little brimer played on three straight losing teams know what your talking about before you say it because he was only on two straight losing teams!! As for this thread good luck to brimer and the boys at jeff co this year!!!

Haven't heard much about oak ridge this year except for the defeat by DB!! They were always a hard knock team at the Ship, is this year any different or is DB, just that good?? I have only seen one game of Jeff's this year and that was Mo East, they looked pretty impressive with McFall running the ball, and the hogs up front were opening the holes for him!! BTW I haven't heard if McFall will play or not does anyone know?? He is a little guy with a huge heart!!! Hopefully all is well in Pats land!! Any more injuries besides McFall Friday??
