Polk had Notre Dame controlled throughout the game. Losing 10-7 to them shows that Polk is not a slouch team so don't count them out. Im sure Pearl Cohn if play well will beat them hands down. And for all the ones who think Notre Dame will make it past Meigs, wrong again. Meigs beat Nd easily 25-7 even playing alot of jv players 2nd half. Yeah they may have improved and im not cutting them slack, ND is a very good team, Meigs is just the best in the region. CHARLIE MURPHY is a very smart predictor so you better listen to him. Best of luck to Polk and hopefully we can cause noise in region.

Meigs has alot of key players, that is the main one. They also have very good talent in which i didnt mention. Sycamore enjoy Meigs while you can, and on your way back home tell station camp the wonderful experience you had getting drilled in the ground. Then next week will be a game that people can really talk about and enjoy. I dont know much about 4-3a but from what I know Sycamore is like the Mcminn Central of region 3-3a. I have to give my respects to station camp, they play with class, and their fans post with class. Not downing white house n pearl cohn, just dont see many posts by them.

for Pearl cohn, polk is a very tough but slow team. they do have some players that can make some noise. So dont count them out.

Station camp, howard is loaded with tremendous speed. Not one white person dresses out. Shouldnt have problem if you can shut down their tailback, and thank god yall arent playin at howard(ghetto(

White House, Notre dame is the same nd you played last year. they lost alot of players but still very good. Shut down passing game and you will be fine. If not, long day in chattanooga.

Not a chance. Playing and beating Meigs at home is a very hard thing to do. It's kinda like the swamp. It's a tough place to win. Meigs will be on their A Game and be ready for this team. Meigs will surprise you. If you work all week on shuttin down the run, you will be surprised by their amazing passing and passing routes ran by recievers. If you work on just pass, boy your in for a time. And if you try to practice both, your just gonna run out of time. Its gonna be a good game, don't get me wrong. Meigs is definitely a second half team, and they will win at their home place. They wont let the fans thats been with them all year down. But if they do get beaten by Sycamore, they will go down fighting. They will not lay down one bit. They are not a team when you get a 2Td lead that will lay down. Thats when they battle the hardest. I know Meigs side will be packed and I hope we see a big crowd from Sycamore. Meigs had alot of hard hits against Sequoyah tonight, laying like 5 or 6 out. Good luck to both teams and to sycamore, have a good trip. You will be treated with the upmost respect. which can Sycamore defend better, the pass or run? If they defend the run better, they better hope to play meigs bc Notre Dame is all pass. If they defend the pass better, they better hope to play Notre Dame because meigs is a powerhouse when it comes to running the football.

Meigs will be hosting Sequoyah this Thursday night. I think this will be good for Meigs playing a team like this the last game of the year. Maybe Meigs can get alot of subs in this game to keep our key players fresh and ready for the playoffs. This is an advantage Meigs has over Polk and ND, these two collide on Friday. let them 4-a teams overlook 3-a. Its great being the underdog and surprising. If the 4-a teams have the same attitudes as the fans on here, overlooking our region 3a, they will get mashed in the mouth come play off time. Never overlook any team not even the weakest team in your region b/c anyone can pull an upset and definitely dont over look the top four playoff teams. And oh yeah buddy, this is not last year. Meigs will make it past second round if they keep their heads straight and keep it up with the good coaching. Polk and notre Dame need to get this game over with so they can get rested up to help Meigs make some noise and shut out these 4-a teams. Hopefully howards speed can also do some damage in playoffs. Wouldnt it be nice to sweep region 4-a" Im pretty sure Meigs and Notre Dame will move on in playoffs. Possibly Polk will if they can get that number 2 seat. Meigs was not Meigs friday night against sweetwater. After getting the touchdown called back, they just fell apart on offense. It was mostly a defensive battle all game. Usually when Meigs is in a tight game at the half, they usually come out third quarter ready to go. Normally if an opponent shuts out meigs running game in the first half, meigs tb comes out third quarter ready to make his own holes if the lines not doin it. He did not do this friday. Sweetwater is a decent team. Meigs is the better team, sweetwater just played better. And you will see in playoffs if meigs is overrated when they smash u in the mouth. As far as polk, It wouldnt suprise me if them or howard(whoever finishes fourth) doont knock off station camp in first round.

3-3a is just as tough as 4-3a

Meigs is all power. They will line up and run it right at you. People have tried to line up(Howard for instance) and stop it. Then they will run something different like a qb boot keep then when defenders start stoppin that they will go back and run down your throat again. It will be a good game tonight in sweetwater. I heard Meigs is really fired up after comin off region championship win. On defense , its all lead by olb,mlb,dt,and cb. They are very very tough on defense. I would say their defense is just ###### effective if not more than their offense. Have you seen the comparion of meigs points compared to opponents? Its outrageous but i believe meigs can go far in the playoffs. They have alot of heart this year. Along with theif fan support, meigs has very good chances of advancing in playoffs. ok, someone help me. In region 3-3a Meigs is already the region champs. They will more likely finish season 10-0 along with station camp. So if station camp wins the region, how many playoff games would have to be played before these two number 1 teams play? Im saying if they win every playoff game, when would we play each other...like the third playoff game? fourth? or would it be in state? Pretty confusing but congratulations to station camp this year on a good season...I remember when meigs traveled to greenbrier last year for playoff game, it was 7-0 greenbrier up until the fourth quarter and meigs fell apart after that. This year way way improved... very fast qb, 200lb tailback hard to bring down, very qucik recievers, very little but quick offensive line. on defense, very fast olb, 3x all state MlB, two very strong denfesive line.....we will see how it all plays out...maybe these two teams may get a chance to play in state? who knows thats what i love bout football

Last year region 4 totally controlled the playoffs, on the exception of Notre Dame. This year Meigs seems to be the dominant team in region 3, so will it be a repeat of last year with Meigs taking the place of ND or will the other three teams in Region 3-3a step it up. It would be great if region 3 could dominate and one of the teams eliminate station camp. We will see what happens, but what do yall think>

well to be quite honest with you, Meigs controlled Notre Dame pretty easily. I have heard that ND has improved alot since then so im not sure. On Polks hand, I believe polk would have been more effective against Meigs with their starting Qb. But Meigs handled Polk easy too as you will admit. I believe it will be a hard fought game and it will be between whichever one of them want it the most. I say Polk has the better ground game. ND has very effienct passing. If Polk can shutdown ND's Tightend and one widereciever(I think number 4 and 30) Polk will pull this one out.

I know him too and I think I may know the guy that stated that. Whitener was in college class room and was talking about meigs and the people bein all state. Never said anything bout himself being all state, just naming off people that had been named all state last year and in discussion got brought up how he used to play full back..... Misunderstanding but meigs is up for a challenge this year against Sweetwater. didnt get to see the Howard game though, how did that play out?

As a Meigs fan, against both teams, I say Central don't even deserve to play on same field as Polk n Meigs. Last year was centrals only chance of looking half way decent. Polk dominates and tears them a new.....well you will see Friday

Meigs does have an awesome team this year. Their defense is a big part of their success, but their offense has really stepped it up. Also fan support is a contributing factor. When Meigs played Howard, they were down 8-7 at the halfwith Meigs tailback only having 15 yds at the half. Third quarter began and Meigs defense shut out Howards fast offense and that made Meigs offense step up. I think the second half Meigs tailback Tyler Mobriant had 156 yards or somethin the second half alone. Imagine the game he would of had doing that both halfs. Anyways congratulations to Meigs. But After playing all the top teams, I say this is how it plays out
