how do yall think Goodpasture will do in 2007 with the region and the bracket changed. we mite just see the next alcoa and GP game in the playoffs.i also hear their schedule is tougher than it has been in years past. whats yalls thoughts about next year?

how do u day cpa over GP when goodpasture controlled the whole game friday night.

By the way, when CPA plays in the state championships, we don't come back, "runner-up".

who has the best band in the midstate. i personally think it is goodpastures.tell me yalls opinion.

Can't compare scores, that means nothing. different circumstances in each game, everything is different, match ups, etc.

but one thing all those teams have in common is GP put up over 60 points on all of them

i dont know why yall are complaining about running up the score on yall.first the fake punts are something GP works on everyday they do it in the games to see how good they will work.its a little easier to tell in a real game than against their own freshman.and if anyone knows coach martin punting is something he hates to do.GP doesnt run up the score on anyone have you heard dca or ER on hear complaining.their not gonna put their jv in for an entire half. all GP is doing is getting more reps in for their second team(which is almost as good as their first team).they have seven differnt very talented running backs and they all want time to play whether it comes when their at 7 points or 70.anyone that has been at any of GP's last 3 games knows they could have easily put up 90 on each one.just cause GP is so deep in talented players dont mean their running up the score.if they have the chance to score their gonna take it.

Too bad you were'nt there or did'nt read the box score! Inexperienced Soph. quarterback tried to force some things, 5 picks 35 points due to picks, that makes the game 27-19 and Fairview does'nt give up at this score. We shall see!

how can you say that that game would have been that close.even if GP didnt pick all those balls off GP would have still scored with their offense.it doesnt even matter the game is over GP won and they probally wont see fairview till next season. when everyone talks about goodpasture all you ever hear about it their running game.GP's secondary needs some credit too. the only thing ive seen GP's secondary do bad was against golden tate and when you play some one like that their bound to make a play sometime.but thats the only time.yes fairview had a young quarterback trying to make something happen but GP's secondary deserves alot of credit for these 60+ games they have been having.not just any secondary can have 5 picks in one game.

to answer the main qusetion its a little bit of both. region 5 2a is not as strong as it has been in years past and GP is a very strong team.anyone that has seen the play knows that.last friday night was not the best game GP has ever played they were missing to many assignments in the first quarter.imagine if the would have played their best. there are only 2 good teams in region 5 this year and that is GP and CPA and the play in week 10.i dont know where yall are getting fairview from.any team that gets 62 points put up on them isnt good no matter who does it.

goodpasture is dying to break 70 at least once this year and i think this will be the week they do it.ezell's only TD will come in the 4th quarter against GP's freshman.

Goodpasture may finally break that school record for points in a game, i can see GP putting up at least 80 if they want, and they could very easily shut DCA out

goodpature could have very easily have already broken that school record if they kept the first team in for more than 1 half.they put their second team in the second quarter. coach martin just has more respect for other teams than to put up 90 points a game.when he puts the second team in he cant help it if they can put the points up to he is just giving them the playing time they want.on most teams they have played the jv has even scored.GP wins this no doubt the amount of points they score depends on coach martins mood friday night.

I saw Goodpasture against Lipscomb and if those two teams played 10 times it would definately be somewhere around a 5-5 split. The Cougars maybe would win 6-4 BUT that's about it. Goodpasture against a team like Fulton or Knoxville Catholic would be in trouble. Both of those teams are big and strong up front as well with some great players in the backfield.

 

In 2A I'll say it now and until I am proven wrong: HUNTINGDON!!!! The Mustangs actually got up 14-0 on the Cougars last year to the person who said that they were dominated. Huntingdon would have won that game with a healthy Phillip Weathers. Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. Alcoa is a team with good size up front and athletes in the backfield. Look at what they did to Goodpasture last year in the title game. EXACTLY!!!! I don't care what Huntingdon's seed is because when they get Donald healthy and when everything is riding on the line in the playoffs they'll be tough to beat. TRUST ME!!! Milan won't beat the Mustangs in the playoffs. The last three years prove that folks. Donald is a "November Nightmare" for the Bulldogs coaches, players, & fans. Guys like Crocker & Donald know that the regular season is for show and the postseason is for dough.

 

If Huntingdon and Goodpasture do meet up once again this Thanksgiving, like I hope they do, then the game will be played at Paul Ward Stadium in H-TOWN. If you don't think that matters then guess again because IT DOES!!!!!!!

what are you talking about huntingdon got beat as far as i can remember and thats all that matters.right now GP is undefeated and blowing teams out every week.just ask east robertson how it felt friday night.

goodpasture mite just have the best bachfield in the state.they have 6 or 7 different guys that are all very talented.in the game against pjp2 they hadd 500 yards on the ground and every other game has atleast been 300.

alcoa is a good team.but there not the best in the state.right now goodpasture is the best team in the state, they have beat golden tate and the 3a state runner up lipscomb.i think we will see alcoa and goodpasture back in the state game except it will be a different ending this year.goodpasture has the talent to do it and pull off an undefeated season which has never been done there before.

im seeing another blowout from goodpasture just like we all saw at fairview.goodpasture has some revenge on this east robertson team and the will get it.
