  1. WKU is a good school so there's nothing wrong with playing there. Plus they have a Panda Express on campus. Love that place!!! :)

Amenities are important these days for the recruits! Lol. I'm not knocking Western at all, I just think there are gonna be some schools show interest that may have not been there before. I'm a firm believer that kids getting the opportunity to play at the next level is awesome whether juco or D-1. At the end of the day an education should be the goal.
  2. I agree with you post for the most par Kaz.Let me ask you this...Can Meadows got to MTSU a D1 school and play ball???I'm not just saying sitting on the low post and shooting layups because there will be other 6'4 girls who are much more athletic playing there also, but college is a more transition type game.My son played college ball also and I know how much up and down it can be.Do you think that they can "use" her now or do you think she will have to transform herself? Please don't think I'm being ugly I'm not, after watching the tourn game my wife and I both were asking each other this question. She really struggled up and down the court and this is just High school.

This is straight from Insell's mouth.. I am not worried about her. I will get her block to block.

Kara has performed for her AAU team vs the highest level of competition around the country and performed well. That's why MTSU, La Tech, Kansas State, Ole Miss and many others offered her a scholarship. Also, remember that she is only 5 moths out from a knee brace after reconstruction of her knee after suffering an ACL the beginning of her Junior season. She will look completely different come this fall. That's a guarantee providing she stays healthy.

  3. I obviously have a particular interest, but I'm a realist. I believe Kara is the best offensive post player to come from this area in a long time and she may be the best offensive post player in any classification. The other players will be the deciding factor for Clarkrange. They are very good when they are on. The Bush girls are pretty solid game in and out that I have saw. Garrett, a TTU commitment, in my opinion has to have a huge game. I really like her game but she is passive sometimes but she is a great athlete and has really stepped up her game this week. And Crabtree is a good athlete as well and played great yesterday. This is why basketball is a team sport. One player can not win. So, good luck to the Lady Buffaloes today and hope all stays injury free.

  4. Looks like the "rim protector" was the difference maker in this game. Lamar Rogers has his team back in another state championship game... What more can you say about this coach and his accomplishments.. Hall of Famer!

Obviously a team game, but she showed up and out the second half. Tomorrow they are a big underdog..
  5. Clarkrange will need another performance tomorrow from the whole team like today to stay successful. They are a handful for anyone when Hannah, Charity, Gracie and Breanna contribute like today. They were outstanding!! Kara was solid too but as a team they are better when the scoring is ditributed around. Reece gave good minutes too.

  6. I ain't backpedaling. Others read the same thing and the only person that has taken any offense to my opinion is......BigDaddy1. I'm leaving it....it appears your skin is too thin to see something that, in reality, isn't even about a player. SMH.....you are a hoot...! Like UC said....let's move along.....we have made too much ado over nothing.

    Kaz

Dang right I'm a hoot!! You're not so much tho..
  7. Don't have any love for the diamond sport. Mainly follow Basketball and Football. Just because something is stated as a point of reference doesn't mean you are saying a kid or team is inferior in sport. I have heard over the years comments such as "that line got whipped throughout the game", which in essence is talking about five individuals on an 11 man group. Although one may not like it.....in most cases the point may in fact be valid in that particular instance.

Have you ever heard the reference "sometimes the bug/sometimes the windshield"? That pretty much sums up a basketball game in which the contests are determining a winner and a loser. Of course, CR has been the windshield in more games than not.......! You would think gaining the right "perspective" about an opinion would be taken with a broader appeal than to narrow it down to one portion of it. I will.....have a good day, that is....

    Kazoopy :thumb:

Your reference that particularly got my goat said "she" not "team". Back pedaling won't help.. it's in black and white ðŸ‘
  8. Last thought.. A 62-50 game that was decided basically at the foul line in last couple of minutes is not an indicative score of a fast pace of play. I'm not opposed to negative comments at all, but previous posts you have made about the rim protector has shown you are not a fan of her or her team. So, yeah, keep your comments positive and don't single a kid out and I'll refrain to comment on comments you make. So, TIVO away! Who knows, ESPN could read this and possibly call you for a job.. 😂🙄

  9. BigDaddy.......you missed the point.....I never said they "out ran" CR or even that they won handily in the game I was referencing. My whole point was they played the game at a pace that they committed too. Funny....I found the game on my TiVo and I stand by everything I said because Middleton DID dictate the pace of play in that game. That was the whole point behind my comments, and you trying to find anything underlining in something I said was more of you trying to dig something out that wasn't there. In other words, I wasn't attempting to belittle anyone or any team. I will be careful referencing CR in the future....not because they couldn't be a case in point, but because it appears you can only handle what you deem to be praise and not a simple comment concerning tatics.

On a personal note: Congrats to Ms. Meadows on her Miss Basketball Award. Very deserving after the kind of rehabilitation she had to go through to get back. Hats off to any kid that has the patience and fortitude to get all the way back.

Keep backing your point and so will I. Maybe you should go to baseball, since you're out. Have a good day!

  10. No just stating that clarkrange has 4 other ones that can play good too. Kara Meadows is a wonderful player who deserves Miss Basketball. Clarkrange is very fortunate to have her. Didnt mean to sound like that at all......one team one dream.....

You are right. Those other girls are very good. Those girls need each other to win. When they are clicking, they are very good.
  11. Just offering an impartial point of view. Some of the same comments were made a few years back about another "rim protector" that played in your district that I interpreted did have harsh intent, and I didn't care for it at all and said so...I just didn't get that feeling from his post. Sorry to have interjected myself into your conversation...mount back up on your high horse and carry on.

I appreciate that. I did feel it was harsh because Middleton did not out run Clarkrange in that game.. nevertheless. It's over. This is 2017. And I'm all saddled up and riding high.
