When are the animal rights activists gonna come to Nashville and make every team that has a mascot as an animal change their mascot. This is absolutely rediculous. If the native americans get this verdict, then they ought to pay for every team's uniform and school alterations to repair this "racism".

Did anyone catch Dicky V talking about DB on ESPN tonight. During the UConn Louisville game he mentioned the 2000th win and said how unbelievable it was.

Since he waasn't hitting his threes, he went back to his old self and started flopping into the closest defender to draw a foul. He didnt make anything but a free throw until the 3rd qtr. Where he had like 3 threes.

If McConnell and Edwards got on the floor during the varsity game the other night I didn’t notice them. And they surely didn’t make a difference in the varsity game…now did they? And do I have to explain to you why they look so extraordinary on the JV court verses not being noticed on the Varsity floor, or can you figure that one out yourself??? Once again you DB hopefuls think you have all the players and all the answers!! And wouldn’t that be considered cheating to have a varsity starter even dress out JV??? I see why you guys always think your future is so bright. No other school would allow a varsity starter or a player that sees significant time on the varsity court play JV. No wonder your heads are in the clouds!

Hmmmm, maybe thats why people are in an uproar about coach Morgan. Edwards shouldve played so so so much more, and McConnell is hurt. And also Reed King plays on the JV. You still have no clue about DB. Just because you have a job and your highschool days are way over, make you no better or smarter than highschoolers.

That’s a ridiculous statement. In all reality your JV squad wouldn’t be able to stay within 20 of your varsity if they played. There is a reason those kids are on JV. Let me give you a hint...they didn't make the varsity team...they weren't good enough to be on varsity yet...and I could put it many different ways. So don’t get it twisted...the difference in JV and Varsity goes much deeper than who's coaching! And I’ve heard about as much of the Viking bashing as I can take. As bad as you say we are…WE STILL WON THE GAME…get over it and move on! Even with all the players in the right position and Coach K pulling the strings…DB is still not as good as you thing they are or should I say “as you think they SHOULD BE”!! Even with Superman.

Cap this proves you are totally clueless when you talk about DB. Riggs, Edwards, Sylvester, McConnell, McGue, they all play on JV, and VARISTY. You have NO CLUE. The post position would've been used more if the JV actually played the Varsity TN High. It would have been a good game.

I think Sylvester is better than what you think he is. Of course Coty is good, and im not picking either one as better, but think when he gets back with both of them on the same court.

And to beat it all he himself was yelling at Hess from central!!!! So there is your classy D.B. fans, another school with great character.....

HMMMM, i wonder what the Central kids were yelling at. Maybe they were saying things like "throp you have more fouls then points," not " Go cougars GO, go Curgars go!!" And Hess showed alot of class defending the man with 2 seconds left in the game and tipping it out of bounds when he was down by 11. HESS FOR PREZ BABY!!!!

well i was at the Big 9 jamboree and once again Sullivan Central brought out a crowd with more class then i have seen or heard in a long time. No fans were out of line towards one player, and if they were yelling at a single player, they certaintly didnt stop yelling at that person when Central lost by 11. I wish all schools had the class Sullivan Central brings to every game. Its jut great to see we still have some schools with character.

Coaches in the stands... If DB did make a touchdown coach would be a hero. They didn't make a touchdown so all of the coaches in the stands come out!

How do you make a touchdown?? Are the ingredients in the local Food City?? or is it one of those things that you have to order on the internet. Now if your talking about scoring a touchdown, now thats a different story.

The pass to Throp at the end was a great call. The next three play calls were a joke. And when it was all said and done, those last three calls lost the game.

What if Josef would have dropped that pass, or Bo over threw him, would it still have been a great call. It was very gutsy, and now we compliment coach Clark for that call. But i agree with everyone about not using ANY player with a big frame for the last 3 plays. I sit and think in coach clark's shoes, and wonder why oh why not use Pappas who has trained for that moment since like the 7th grade. It makes no sense, it just makes no sense.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Sevier County is not blaming their schedule on their early exit from the playoffs.....oops they are still playing

What in the world are you doing on this thread trash talking DB?? You must have the worst memory of all, because your Toppers lost also, as well as the week before that to some other team. How can you trash a team with the situation you are in???????? Are you that ignorant?

 

My biggest concern of this year's team was the inability to run the ball when we had to. I also thought that we had too many players playing both ways. It proved costly in the end. Hard to imagine losing to a team that only scores 13 points. If you looked at the stats, you would have thought that DB won. I was sure that we would line it up and do our best to beat it down WB throat on that last series that started at the 5 yard line. Obviously it didn't happen that way. We had plenty of chance in the game, but we didn't make enough plays to win.

 

Well i remember a man by the name of Andrew Pappas who racked up 60 yards in the 4th quarter against Bearden. And i also remember a man named Lane Taylor who became an effective FB towards the end of the season. Now neither one of these players were used on the goal line that last drive. I guess when something works, the other coaches pick up on it, so we have to out smart them by doing something completely different. But it was a great season, and im sure every fan had fun watching this team.

next time say they would have to go through Farragut, Sevier Co. OR Ooltewah, and Riverdale. Im thinking you were just uneducated about the whole Bracket. but itll be alright

So your maing this prediction after seeing WB play only 2 games. If you had seen everyone of their games you would see that WB should be 9-1. I will agree with you that DB's passing O is very good, but if WB can stop that then DB wont have anything going for them. WB's D is very good at stoping the running game. So if WB has worked on their special teams like they should then this will be a very close, low scoring game. My pick is WB-17 DB-14 in 2OT

And if DB stops WB's running game what will Blount have?? Their QB is something like 19-47 with 345 yards. Look at it from both sides, there, sure WB could stop DB's passing, but the same can be said about DB stopping WB's running.

For 5A, this game and Gallatin/Ravenwood are best 1 vs 4 matchups. I anticipate both being good and close games, but with both #1's prevailing.

 

I'm interested in seeing if DB is for real as the playoffs proceed though. At this point I give them a 25% chance of making it to finals with having to potentially go through Sevier Co., Ooltewah, Riverdale.

no no no, take a look at any of the brackets. Db would have to go through WB, Farrugut, Ooltewah, Riverdale. You cant play Sevier Co. and Ooltewah.

the only players looking past this team are in the 10th grade or havent seen playing time the past 3 years.

I have an update on daniel preston. He has a sprained ankle and could be out 3 weeks. Daniel has to be able to walk without any hurt when he doesnt have his boot on. The doctors say 3 weeks, but i see this kid with a heart as big as DB itslef out there some this friday.

It looks like most DB people really do not see the potential of William Blount. This is a solid team, just use the resources CoachT gives you and go check their schedule. DB ought to have an awsome week of practice to "roll" over this team. They need to keep their heads straight and focus on the game.
