What's wrong with wrestling off before every match? That's the way it was when I was in school. If you didn't bring your best stuff to wrestle offs a couple of times a week, then you didn't wrestle the matches. That should be enough motivation to want to keep your starting spot, and more than enough opportunity for the second or third sringers to get a chance to wrestle varsity

I heard he was at 165 the last practice. He plans on going 162 after Christmas

We always went to Beech, Mcgavock, Hillwood, and Whites Creeks' tournaments. So it could have been anyone of them. I was just guessing

If you think Justin is muscular, you should have seen his dad. This is a picture of him back in the late 80s at the Mcgavock Tournament. HE was a hoss. There weren't many guys built like this back then in high school. From what i hear he's been a full contact fighter for the last 15 years. Justin comes from good stock. Hes on the far left from Pearl-Cohn

Eadys dad told me yesterday that the football coach is encouraging Tyler not to wrestle . That stinks for Smyrna because hes a great heavyweight!

INDIVIDUAL

The old coach Gonyea is watching his two sons compete in swimming and club wrestling this year. He handed the reins over to the "bald guy" you saw at the preseason tournament yesterday. His name is Chris Gardner, he has been the middle school coach at Smyna Middle the last 3 years. He's a great guy and a very dedicated teacher and coach. The high school is very lucky to have him. Not only did he coach at the middle school, he also coached in the off season pretty much year round for middle and high school and grade school kids! As for all of those kids you mentioned, they all graduated , 9 in total.

Let's test who is mature and who's not .... I promise I won't post any more comments on this topic no matter what else is said . Let's see if you can be as mature as that.

I don't believe tnko called you a name because you uncovered the great mystery of who dbltec was. I do in fact believe he was referring more to the blatent ,outright disrespect you gave the Smyrna program in your very first post. They're not a top notch program as you point out. They shouldn't be proud of their Ruthaford County championships, or district championships. You want them to shut up on this site , obviously because until their region does something in state in your eyes they just dont deserve to be on here talking at all. If you want to bag on Coach G thats fine , he can take up for himself, but cut Smyrnas wrestling program some slack. As for "keeping it real" , you were "real" condescending, in your first post, and that is why you probebly got called a jerk! I for one agree with him
