  1. I was just wondering while they are interviewing for football coach are they asking these people if they know anything about fastpitch or do they not care because after all they are just g__ls. Go figure.
  2. The problem with the cc program is the players are coming to it without the basic knowledge of how the game of football is played. There is not enough time to teach every boy how to play the game. The blame should not rest on the head coach for the lack of basic skills. His job is to teach plays and not how not to fumble the ball, the blame should go to parents and the community programs that are suppose to have them ready to make the move to the next level of play. It takes alot of time and effort on the players and their parents as in any sport. And in cc there is just not enough interest in the game until high school and at that point it is to late. Like I said before I don't have a son but I was involve in the pop warner program and there is not a enough interest in it or the middle school age program. Until that is corrected it does not matter who is the coach the result will be the same and with any sport hard work and dedication which is the parent in earlier programs responsibility. Them dismissing coach Breeden not only hurt the football program but it will also hurt the softball program which I beleive the board cared nothing about or they would have not rush to judgement.
  3. why are all these football fans not protesting this decision do you not know your school board is a elected position call you school board members people coach Breeden is not the problem it is lack of a good pop warner program and schools being split until the 10th grade. I watched a few of the games this year and it look like the program was improving, all things take time. I do not have a son playing football but I do have a daughter playing fastpitch for coach Breeden and I have never seen a more decated coach and he is without saying the best. We do have a winning softball program and if we lose coach Breeden this could be our last winning season. We thank you coach Breeden for all your long hours that I know for a fact you put in and your talent you brought to the game.

I really hope your wrong about losing the cc coach he is without saying the best coach my daughter has had and I think that the cc school board is about the dumbest in the state. And if I had a son on the football team I would be fighting them tooth and nail get your signs football fans and protest this decision that your elected school board made and once again coach Breedon we thank you for all your time you have put into the program.
  5. They no doubt must be the oldest organized team in Tennessee because with the competition out there, that doesn't happen any more (every girl that played signed early November in their senior year)!!!! Has anyone in the coacht board signed already? I'll bet there's not but a couple - it's tough out there with all the colleges (even the smallest) traveling to Colorado and Oklahoma to recruit players from California, Arizona and Texas to come to Tennessee. Then the Tennessee players who are just as good have to travel to "foreign" states to play ball. Besides that, you've got to have a lot of money to afford to play in the tournaments to prepare you for that level much less going to that level - if you've got that much el dinero, then why not just pay for college and let the girls concentrate on their education??? But, unfortunately it's gotten to be that if you don't travel to play on that level, you don't have a good selection of colleges recruiting local players. Our tax dollars at work again --- paying taxes for colleges to give athletic scholarships to non-residents and then paying more money to pay out-of-state tuition!!!! Whassup with dat?????

I watched Coffee County play a couple of games at Cain Ridge this fall. They seem to be well rounded team with above average defence, above average offence their pitching staff has Catalano being very effective also they are pitching another pitcher I don't know her name but she seems to be almost unhitable. I would say cc is loaded as usual. [Edited by mymy on 11-9-02 1:04P]
