They haven't played the toughest schedule in the world. When two teams play throw all that out. That is why you play the game. Anyone can win on any given night.

With an $8,000 a year education you would think you could spell mean.

Rockwood has to play Greenback it is a district game this year. So, to act like it was purposly scheduled is crazy.

Still say 5 TDs. Greenback is down. Pigeon Forge is Terrible with a capital T. I dont care how big a school it is. Rockwood whipped them too. I'm not from Rockwood. I just think they will win big. Besides if Webb didn't think they were going to win big those other two quarterbacks wouldn't have been suspended for 2 wks.

Webb didn't have a choice they were suspended for fighting on school property and from school for a week.

Ok who would turn down Dl scholarships to play at a d1a school...If she is so good why is she going to UTC.. i mean dont get me wrong she is a great player but dont say she is in a class of her own. And no she s not the best player in the state at any level..You need to get your facts straight before you come on here saying things... How do you know she got second last year ? maybe she got third behind leonard

Louisville, Gerogia, and Kentucky she could have went to any of them. That's fact.

I seem to remeber Kayla taking over very Nicely two years ago to take OZ to a State Title game. So, I wouldn't go that far. Both great players that went and our going to play Divion 1 B-ball

if hall played AA i would say all of her points came from AA and AAA

Throughout the years OZ has played A, AA, & AAA on their schedule. OZ usually plays Coalfield and Wartburg every year, regardless of class. They also have played many AA and AAA teams on their schedule over the years. Christopher and Hall are both great players. Clarkrange and Jackson County are only single A, but let's face it they could beat many AA teams and some bad AAA teams.

I know kingston guys are talking like they are going to be the real deal but thats yet to be seen. The have several returners and could be ok idk though. Sams and francis will be key and the addition of a couple more could lead to a decent year. Who knows?

 

As for harriman, they got beat by sunbright the other night how idk but they did. I thought they would be solid this year with everyone but one returning. Look for them to bounce back and have a decent year. The inman kid will be a star in years to come.

 

Os and midway seem to be there usual selfs but im not sure. I need help on these two.

 

Last but not least is rockwood. im sick and tired of hearing how good they are going to be. They will be an average team with a weak schedule. Raby at point is overrated and thats all they have if you want to say they have him. I look for rockwood to struggle this year even with a good coach. They win two county games and thats against midway.

 

Kingston wins throughout the county and dominates these lesser teams in roane they call competition.

Cant wait till rockwood. We will prove that raby is overrated and nobody around him will be able to help.

We know Kingston is the best team in the county its done been decided. Kingston dominates! It goes official when we put a thumping on the tigers monday night. Its going to be so much fun beating them. We will shut down raby and as for the inside game. They dont have much. Roberts is big but dont play hard cause he's weak and stays on the floor and brock is ok but not as athletic as Kingstons inside guys. Its going to be fun watching raby and his crew take a beating. Etimilin Phillips is terrible and he could start for rockwood inside. Adam Jackson would never play for coach k but is more athletic that anyone rockwood has. Sams is a beast and nobody can contain him. He's the best wing in the county. Thats right better than the styling and profiling raby who is overrated and garbage. He's lucky he dont play at kingston, he wouldn't even see the floor. Im sick of hearing about him. I cant wait!

Why can't you just lay off ? You know, this is all new to us. Did anyone think that we would be at 22-0 at one point. No, not even us. This is only our third year of basketball. We started off with 8th and 9th graders two years ago playing in the varsity level. We have less than 150 students in our high school. Please, give a little credit where credit is due. We are a very small christian school and we are trying to enjoy the moment but it seems like everyone is trying to run us down. GCA does not put out the AP rankings neither do we set the district teams. We go out and play 32 minutes of roundball and we have lost many, many games in the past but we are winning now. Congrats to Rockwood, they are a very good team and they won a hard fought game last night. The refs did a good job....we are not laying blame on anyone but ourselves. You ask are we for real, yes I believe we are. Do I think we are the best team in the state right now, no probably not, but we are trying to get there. We have an outstanding head coach and assistant coaches and a great group of kids and no matter how far they go we are very proud of them.

You can also pursuade good basketball players to attend your school. This is something that public schools really can't do. I don't feel sorry for you one bit. Everyone knows why Webb, Catholic, and CAK are loaded every year. I'm sure Grace Christian won't be far behind.

Kingston girls are at a low point. I haven't seen them this bad in years. Some major changes need to happen there. I really don't know what they need to do.

Just wondering what actions other parents would take if their childs coach told them they stink? I personally think this is very unprofessional. If coaches talk like this in front of our kids, its no wonder the kids talk trash on the floor to each other during a game. Does any one know what TSSAA rules are for this kind of behavior.

Behavior? What is wrong with telling a team that if that's what they need to hear? If the shoe fits wear it! If a player can't take anymore than that they need to find a new sport. Sports would be so much better if parents would just let their kids play the game. Your going to hear things like this in life all the time.

Maybe its not alack of class, instead a lack of defenses and a plethora of turnovers by GP. With your infinite wisdom what would you do different, and who was more classless this year during the game. Alcoa or OS. I wish Alcoa had gone "classless" on the scoreboard after the display I saw on the field. Just my opinion though. Not trying to argue, just wondering what should of been done in either game.

Have you ever coached? Little League doesn't count. I have and when you see something like that happening you try to get the situation under control. Just becasue you can beat someone by 100 dosen't mean you do it. I have seen Oliver Springs knee the ball countless times on the one, even thoough their about to score. OS might not have acted classey this year. I don't know I wasen't there. All I'm saying is Alcoa fans are the last people who need to judge anyone on class.

Children (Oz' purple haze, took) keep it civil. I know OS had trouble on the football field but you can calm down on the message board. How about watching some language. Younger guys still read this. I don't think you are any cooler just because you can type swears onto a message board. Also purple haz, why threaten, that shows a little immaturity on here. About the Alcoa GP game. It was last year, the JV was just too good, and GP turned the game around. I am impressed with GPs turn around and look forward to seeing them in the playoffs if they make it. I hope Wartburg plays hard on saturday and gets a much needed and deserved W.

I don't care how good their jv is. To put 90 points on a team shows no class in high school football. I'm not blaming the boys, but a coach has to see that and stop it GP may have turned around their season, but everyone knows that region always gets swept in the first round of the playoffs.

Yea, it is. congrats to the jackets for an outstanding season. I'm an OZ gal. I know how Coalfield and OS fight, but I'm glad the jackets are doing well.The more successful teams are the tougher it make the area look. I hope they can get it done this year. I think it would be great if they brought home a state title, no matter what school your from or went to.

Well being an Alcoa fan I will cheer for the team with class. Come on Wartburg, leave OS as still the best team without a win. You all deserve it more. At least when Wartburg was losing they kept it clean. I don't have a score to predict but I hope Wartburg runs them into the ground. Before the OS game I thought it was ashamed that someone had to win, now I think its a shame OS gets another chance to win. GO WARTBURG, this Alcoa fans behind you :justwrestle:

The last team that needs to be talking about class is Alcoa. Alcoa is a great team, but anytime you put 70-90 points on another team you don't have much class. You can use the argument " We had our JV in". Well, that's fine. Everyone in the state knows Alcoa is good, they don't have to be reminded by looking at the score board and seeing 90. Remember, what goes around comes around in the sport's world.
