  1. I don't know how the Region is gonna fall out exactly, but I think those that are puting Springfield at at 4 or 5 are being pretty optimistic. I don't think they will be that high and I am a Jacket myself. After last nights loss to Rossview my hope for them is pretty much shot. I want to know how there coaching staff let's Derrick Smith, the best player on the team, QB/Kicker/Punter get dehydrated. That game should have never gone into OT. I think Springfield will be 6, 7, or 8th on the chart.

Alright season is about to be in full swing baby! We got Northwest today on their home court, but we ended the District season on that court by winning the District tournament and we are gonna start on that court this year proving that we are here to defend. Yellow Jackets gonna repeat and for us it will be a three-peat carried over from our old district!
  3. Since you asked it was not pretty again. I am not blaming this one all on the refs though. Springfield had their chances and should have put this one away despite the refs. They missed keys free throws and had two horrible possessions that lead to critical turnovers. On that "intentional foul" though, John Mark got fouled first and then he ran the floor and did get ball when he went up. All in all it was another game in Clarksville for the Yellow Jackets.

BOYS Ok. I am the number one at Spt so I have to lay down my thoughts. The top singles players are myself, the number one from Clarksville, my rival and defending District Champ Ryan Spencer, our number two Justin Hamm, and our number three Jim Morris, who lost to Ryan in the semis last year. I am looking forward to this season because I want to prove that I am just as good as anyone that steps on the court with me including my rival. I am 1-3 against him. My one win coming in three sets to help us secure the Distrcit team title. I should have won the District. I am not gonna make excuses becasue he beat me fair and square, but I did suffer a wrist injury during the match that kept me out of action for a little while after that, but I am looking forward to improving my record to 4-3 over him and possibly 5-3. As for the Doubles it is the Boys' from Clarksville and whoever plays doubles for us. Which honetly I do not know who that is yet. Justin and Barrett took District last year and should have won the Region. I think Justin will get a new partner this year since Barrett graduated and will look to defend his Title, whether that is me or someone else. Team wise on paper the District should be between Dickson Co. and Clarksville. That is on paper though. I know that my boys and I are ready to defend our title and win our third straight Distrcit title in two Districts. I trust my younger boys' to back me up and I plan on leading them to the three-peat. GIRLS As for the girls it is gonna be difficult to knock off the defending champion Wildcats. They have a strong team. Our Lady Jackets have the talent to be competitive it just depends on if they want it or not. If they are willing to work for it then I think you will see them in the Final against Clarksville. Especially since it is 2 out of 3 sets this season like it should have been last year. Yet I digress. As for individuals I do not know. I do not know enough about the other girls in the District to comment.
  5. Yeah there has to be an upset somewhere. I do not see it being a cake walk for the Springfield v. Clarksville Final. We all thought that last year and we all know what happened. Personally I hope it is a Springfield v. Clarksville final. That would be an awesome game when played in a nuetral setting and I know the Jackets want another shot at the Wildcats. I do anyways and I am just a fan. Talking to some of our Jacket players I know they are hyped and ready to defend their Title.
  6. Dude really need to calm down. You can post whatever you want, but sethk can post whatever he wants too. Thanks to sethk for sticking up for me. As for what you asked earlier. I play all sports. As for playing for the high school I am on the bowling team and I play number one on the tennis team. I had someone ask me why you are asking me if I sit at home and watch while your screen name is Watcher. We were just wondering?
  7. Yeah they do need to play smarter, I agree with that. They make hasty decisions at times that cost them. I also hope they do not look past Rossview tomorrow after that rough loss against Clarksville. I know for a fact they took it pretty hard. They could go two ways on this, they could look past them and get upset or they can come up fired up and really take it out on Rossview. We will see.
  8. Bellgo I respect your and UTVols opinions on this, but highlights is not enough. If you were not at the game, you cannot get the real feel of how everything played out. I agree that 20 pints is a large amount, but I do not care how good you are or how well you play you cannot beat the refs or the clock guy who ran twenty seconds off during the fourth quarter after the whistle was blown. The refs had a about a two, maybe three minute time span where they let the boys play and Springfield cut the lead from 14 to 6. Springfield can run with anyone in the District and they will prove that come tournament time.
  9. It is either Henry Co. or Springfield. These three teams are clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the pack.
  10. Once you learn the difference between using weather and whether you can come back and talk to me. Until then stay off the computer and take an English class.
  11. Ok. Anyone who was at the game last night, has eyes and knows the rules of basketball knows that the officiating was let's just say bull crap! I just have one question for the officials, How much were you paid?, cause that was the worst officiating I have seen in any game at any level. It was so obvious and so one sided it made me sick. The Clarksville fans were also so obnoxious and disrespectful to our players. I was just extremely disappointed all around. I was looking forward to an extremely competitive, fair, and exciting game between the two best teams in the District and that was ruined by all of the factors above. All I have to say is that the Wildcats better not get upset again in the tournament this year because the Jackets are gonna prove who the best team is in a fair game. The Wildcats may be in first, but they have still not proved that they can beat the Jackets in a fair game when the Jackets are at their best. The tournament will prove everything (if it is a good officiating crew)!
  12. I recognize that Clarksville is a good team, but the team that they played last time is not the same team they will play tonight. Springfield has made vast improvements since the last time these two teams met. The success of the Springfield football team caused the basketball team to get off to a slow start, but Springfield has taken care of that and is now ready and willing to defend their District Title. This is gonna be a great battle between the two best teams in the District. I am looking forward to cheering the Jackets to a victory and avenging that early season loss to the Wildcats.
  13. Springfield is starting to slip and they have lost one or two wrestlers that quit. They lost to Northeast Thursday night and i hope they can fill the spots to hang with Hendersonville, if not they aint going to hang at Region Duals. Well how is the other teams, and im looking foward to next Thursday Springfield v. Hendersonville
  14. Well the game is tonight and what will be the outcome, I really hope Springfield wins, Bellgo i wont be on here tonght cause im doing color comm. on the radio, hope you listen and tell me how i did, this will be my first time ad im not basketball term savvy, well go YELLOW JACEKTS
  15. We will see. I am going the other way of course. You can flip that score in fact. I have not been talking smack, you are right about that. But when Clarksville decides to wear there home jersey in our house that is a major slap in the face that we just cannot have. I just want to know why they think it will be a home game. In week 10 when Clarksville actually was at home, Springfield still had more fans. Like coach chris said. You do not want to step in to our Jackets nest. Especially do not want to aggravate them before you step into it. I am just looking forward to a great, dry game and may the better team of the night win. Then whoever that is go on to represent Region 6 the rest of the way! GO JACLETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
