Oakland has really been playing hard just been coming up short...best of luck 2 both teams but hope oakland pulls this one out!!

you make a point with that, not a good one but i will acknowledge it of course and give you some more to acknowledge. 9 points is pretty "old fashioned" to, this rare instance it was enough to win. but you know what else, aye's "old fashioned simple" offense finished with more yards and first downs than smyrnas "complex" offense. had not for a rule where a player "appeared" to be hurt, that "old fashioned simple" offense would have finished with more points as well.

 

if your looking for a game to use as an example to showcase smyrnas "complex, highly efficent" offense, this wouldnt be the game to use. of course the same is to be said about the warriors with this game, and tho it is forgotten, 49-0 DID happen. youtube has a reminder, tell me if that looks like a jr. pro offense.

say what you want about the X's and O's, but dont forget the Jims and Joes. fact is, riverdale has enough talent to not only win, but whip peoples butt on occasion with an offense drawn up by even a 2 year old. when we talk about the offense, lets refer to the results (the wins, yards, etc.) rather than the playbook. dont matter what the playbook is long as the job is getting done, not only is it getting done tho its getting done in an admirable fashion.

 

smyrna might not have lost a game due to their offense this year but theres 2 Ls in the column so i guess that means their defense is pretty darn weak. i mean you take it one way or the other, your not undefeated (in region or non region) and its to late to be so until riverdale collects an L you cant speak to much...but obviously your impacient, i wouldnt be able to wait that long either /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Even though Lebanon tried there best again WC i think since Rivedale has had a week to let some of their injuries heal... they might have the extra bounce for this game.. i know they are ready to prove to everyone they are for real & they are determined to do it!! it shld be a good one but think Riverdale pulls it out.

It should be a really good game. Blackman needs to win it or start thinking about next year...basically a playoff game for them.

As you said earlier....only 100 people are allowed on a football team. Band is unlimited. So you just answered your own question...idiot.

In Rutherford there is no limit on the allowed team size for football... it is not cut off @ 100.. sorry to burst your bubble..

btw where was Riverdales' "Award Wining Band" last night.. could they not make the drive to Dickson County? oh well .. football team lead the crowd pretty well w/o them..

Your right about one thing, its going to get exciting but let me guess, your going to pick against Riverdale in the next for games. Your the one that needs to open your eyes and see that Riverdales Defense is the real deal and thats what wins championships. I guess at the end of the year if Riverdale wins it all you'll already be talking about next year and how they'll be going down....Its ashamed you can use true football knowledge in making your predictions instead of basing it soley on your hatred for Riverdale...

I believe you meant RB 21 if you were talking about Riverdale & that would be VANHOOSE.. we have a 2 (McClain) 6 (Lee) 7 ( (Ebalarosa) & a couple of others that sub in & out but hoose holds onto the ball GREAT!! Warriors Great to see the TEAM SPIRIT on the side (especially w/ no band to get the crowd going) yall kept the crowd loud & crazy.. Travis was doing some serious drilling on the field (nice to see) & some serious leading off the field (really nice to see) Pope (some REALLY great blocks!!) only bad points were the flags being thrown on the o-line...but i think we expected flags to be thrown in DC just did not know when & where.. Nice Win!! & nice 2 see Boykin back!! 6 & O .. Congrats WARRIORS!!

Did want to say that DC did give it their all & played really well & their crowd was awesome..really nice people there.. thanks for the hospitality & the homecoming show was nice..

dang it was really hoping Oakland would pull this out...Keep your chins up though.. Dont get down & surely dont give up.. Yall have proven that you have a good team you just need to start playing as a Team together throughout the whole game.. Best of luck on the next one!

I think it goes without saying that ever since Rankin, the Warriors have worked very hard.

quit bringing up Rankin...guess you have a memory problem he is gone ... Coach A is doing a Great job so support the current coach & his program.. i'm sure DC is prepared well for Riverdale & it will be a great game.. i'm also sure Coach A & his staff have the Warriors prepared & the ride will give them time to focus & get fired up!! Yes, the loss of mr. bell will hurt on both sides of the ball. But if Rayburn runs like he has been all year, it will keep DC in this one. I watched him play earlier this year and the power he has to just run through people bigger than him is just increadable to watch.

If Riverdale comes focused & fired up liked they did last Friday then Riverdale by a bunch but otherwise it will be close but Riverdale will still have another win.. Keep up the good work guys!!

BC of their bad previous yrs glad to see wilson central finally winning some, but i think this will be their toughest game so far... almost hate 2 bc wld love for them 2 pull this off but think coffee co will win only bc wilson central have not really played anyone other challenging yet..not sure if they know what they are getting into.. this shld be good one.. good luck 2 both!!

OK...you will notice that I am not normally on this board & there is a reason for that ... there I will not go... but I would like to make a positive comment..

Last night @ the Riverdale vs Siegel game the Siegal band put on an amazing show... it was kind of a shame that Riverdale had to go after them bc the Riverdale stand gave them a standing ovation/applause & the Riverdale band can barely get anything out of their own crowd. So congrats to Siegel great show!

OK d-fense so it was not a shut out but you played your tails off & looked really good & it was nice to see some new faces.. offense ... man ... looks like someone got you fired up & you guys are pulling it together & playing as a team.. nice job.. vanhoose love the way you cover the ball!! o-line nice holes.. now on to the kicking team.. the kicker is doing his job but for some reason we are not tackling the run backs.. also we still need work on our returns.. overall the only thing is looking sweet!! nice to see B. Hoffman bring out the spear... good to see him recovering so well. Keep up that Spirit!! & maybe more will continue to see play time!! Can someone please explaine why Sonny played?? Is it really worth it to risk it?? You have a guaranty @ vandy 4 sure & a posibility of the Braves so why risk a major injury? I understand the Team needs him but it should be a TEAM not a SONNY TEAM!! they should be able to play w/out him.. I think it is amazing that he is putting the team/school ahead of himself & best of luck to him. Congrats on the win.. Just hope the risk of continuing to play him does not come back to haunt him later..

Riverdale defense is the real deal...

With Riverdales defense being so tuff & 3 shut outs I think this will be another shut out...now Riverdales scoring thats another questions bc of their own errors. Fumbles ... flags... mental errors that someone on that team needs to step up & take a leadership role & fire this team up. They have continued to show some fire but they are still needing someone on the team to step up... You have an O-Line that keeps opening holes but then as you move the ball down the field then a fumble... you have a great pass dropped... Thanks Verge for a great run back for the defensive TD.. Good luck warriors!! Get intense like you REALLY WANT THIS!!

This will be a good extemely close game..almost to close to call. Both teams are better this year than ever!!! I wld love for LaVergne to do this for Rutherford & for the homecoming but it will be tough. Good LUCK!! Glad to see that they have turned this program around so much.. great to have so many GREAT teams in Rutherford this year.. keep it up (that is until you meet up w/ riverdale LOL)

another GREAT night at RIVERDALE!!! nice job guys!!! as for the score ... sure it could be higher .. but a win is a win.. a shut out is a shut out... we had a lot of positive yardage that we ended up loosing bc of fumbles or a perfect pass that was dropped that wld have made another score. so the line is doing a terrific job on both sides!! but some of the teammates need to practice a little bit more on holding onto the ball & then the score will increase. Great job now on to Siegel!!
