1. QUOTE(PTSportsWriter @ Apr 24 2007 - 12:12 AM) 826443916Cocke County beat East 7-4 tonight.

Blaine Hartsell picked up the CG victory, throwing over 105 pitches on the night.

I am glad to see Blaine pick up the win. I had the opportunity to coach Blaine for 3 years. He is a good kid with talent.

  2. I'm back!!! Been out of the Country on business. Now to your question, who will the next coach be, well I can't tell you but there is a done deal already for the Head Coach!

If they have their head coach why don't they make it official. They are just going to hurt the program and the boys who are playing.

  3. QUOTE(6-4-3dplay @ Mar 24 2007 - 01:29 PM) 826421554This guy has been there for awhile and just can't seem to get things going. He's seems to be a very good guy, but there comes a time when it may be time to start looking in another direction. I've seen them play a few times this year so far and they have a very good team this year and have started out 2-4. I think that it's time that WGHS basebal starts to look in a new direction and get someone in there who can turn this program around. He seems to be a hard worker and has, at times, done a great job with this team, but in my opinion, it's time to go into a new direction. What do you folks think? Just my opinion

Coach Bowles is a good guy to be the baseball coach. It is hard to continually win especially when you do not have that many boys try out for baseball. In my opinion, it is hard to keep a winning record if you do not have the athletes or numbers. In time you may realize that Coach Bowles has them going in the right direction.

  4. QUOTE(bob367 @ Feb 18 2007 - 04:34 PM) 826377800Coalfield got a new coach Jason Wilson!!! great coach should do well!! got to fill some big shoes though from there last coach!!!

    Did he go to ETSU?

  5. QUOTE(BUCyouUP @ Mar 4 2007 - 10:12 PM) 826399956woodacre is about 6'0 160-175 lbs very toned, he's an all around amazing athelete, speed, strength, coordination, leaping ability, you name it aaron woodacre can do it and do it well, i say this as unbiasedly as i can. Woodacre plays hard defense is a great passer can take anyone off the dribble, go over a big man with a scoop or lob shot, step back for 3. If you watch him play you know who he is as soon as the ball is tipped he makes his presence known

Woodacre is a great kid. I had the opportunity to coach him during middle school and you could tell he was going to be a great ball player. He respects his coaches as well as his teammates. Plain and simple he is a player to look out for.

  6. QUOTE(imacker10 @ Feb 22 2007 - 11:03 PM) 8263853181. Morristown East

    2. Morristown West

    3. Greeneville

    4. Cherokee

    5. Jeff County

    6. Cocke County

It will be tough for Morristown East to win the conference this year with a new coach again but they feel like they have something to prove and will be tough come tournament time. Morristown West will also be very good as they have key starters Logan Wild, Erik Hazelwood, and Austin Bridgewater who are all pretty good ball players. West will give East a run for it's money. After West, it pretty much falls off. All of the teams have gotten better (with the exception of Jeff County which lost a bunch of great senior leaders). Still though, the main competition will be between rivals East and West. Look for Greeneville to surprise a couple of people this year. It looks like they will be battling an improving Cherokee team for third place. As for Cocke County....... best of luck.

I do believe Morristown west will pull it out, but i do believe Cocke county may surprise some people. Cherokee won't be bad either.

  7. THE OFFENSEIVE LINE FOR THIS YEAR WILL IT CHANGE ANY OR DO WE KEEP THE SAME FROM LAST YEAR? THEY LOOKED TO BE VERY AGGRESSIVE LAST YEAR AND HOPE FOR THEM TO CARRY THAT INTO THIS YEAR .

They better be lifting their butts off or they will feel the wrath of Joe Cool. Cosby graduated a few good linemen but have a few coming back next year that can help produce another winning season.

  8. sounds to me that your fishing for info. but IMO i think they should choose from inside the school so that narrows it down

i wouldnt mind if coach Greenlee got it he has a good relationship with the better half of the kids.........IMO

I believe it will be Greenlee or someone outside the system. They have the potential to be pretty good with Jordan anchoring that offense.
