I'm glad to see that you are sticking up for your alma mater and that you like the new coaches. I really have no horse in this race, but would like to know how WG coaches are better if they lost?? By a sizable margin at that. Living farther west than you I do not have the privelege of seeing these two teams, but enjoy keeping up with them as I know several coaches in the area. What did tc say about the defensive coach being basketball coach?? And what does this have to do with his football coaching? I like the way that you say that in YOUR opinion WG coaches are better, thats great you are backing them to the hilt. I believe though if you go back through the thread you will see that tc was just stating the same, that he thought cd coaches were better (ie his opinion) and we all know what opinions are like /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> How long has WG coach been there and how long has CD's coach been there what is their head to head record, that might settle this dispute Anyway good luck the rest of the year to both teams

This thread has become amusing in that it is people of two struggling schools fighting each other. Anyway one way to resolve this debate is to compare def stats. Then maybe compare WG def to years past? IDK just a thought and cant you guys get along for the betterment of your county, it seems weak this year

I saw Chuckey Doak last night in Kingsport against Sull North and must say they looked awful. All I heard out of the spring was they are improved and watch out for them---well honestly their is not much to look out for, I have no desire to get on the kids or coaches, just a casual observer of upper east tn football and well it wasnt pretty---I dont know how tough North is supposed to be, but they looked like world beaters last night

HAve read about how strong HAmpton is and how Cloudland is reemerging how bout the rest of the region?HOw will Cosby be or Unaka or Grace? Is NG still there in the Dist? Who are these teams scrimmaging?

Football is a lot more physical than the other sports, so players need more down time. Also could you imagine a player coming into a HS season after playing all summer long?

WOW have times changed. When i used to live in Northeast Tn back in the 90's and early 00's these two schools hated each other. I think that IIRC they had some great scraps on the football field, even one resulting in a near brawl. I thought that they were 2 county rivals that had respect for each other, but also a deep dislike. Lunsford was the coach in FB at CHS and of course Coach Campbell was at HHS. So how did this alliance come about....... Just wondering
