  1. Guys, not just myself, but the entire town is so proud of you for what you've accomplished for HHS. Savor the experience, breath in the atmosphere at the stadium tomorrow night, you'll remember these things for the rest of your lives. When you look up into the stands, you'll see a big sea of Bulldog Blue cheering you on, and no matter what happens, we'll always be there for you. Just focus on the game at hand, keep your head on straight, and play your game like you know you can. Who knows what good things are waiting just around the bend? GO DOGS!
  2. I know I'm leaving work early tomorrow to make the trip in time to get a hotel room in Pigeon Forge and stay the night. That's one good thing about playoff road trips! Not to mention the IHOP in Sevierville! I hope we have a HUGE turnout tomorrow night. These boys deserve all the support we can give'em. Everybody, have a safe trip down!
  3. I can't believe how long this week has been! I'm so glad all the mud-slinging(or most of it anyway) seems to be done. Now lets focus on what looks like a FANTASTIC playoff game. I know Coalfield is at home, so advantage there. I know Hampton hasn't won a road playoff game, so disadvantage there. However, there is a vibe about this year's team I haven't felt before. They seem to have a confidence in their abilities and team that they haven't shown in years past. I know for a fact they show much more offensive ability than any other Hampton team I've EVER seen. To load up the line is VERY dangerous. Pull everyone up, they pass over it. Spread out to cover deep, they cram it down the throat. Their overall balance is so strong, it's amazing. And, let's not forget their defense. No one has been able to successfully run on them all year, and their pass defense has become a strength, instead of the liability is used to be. I expect a very tight, intense game tomorrow night, and I hope everyone behaves themselves. I know people want their own region reps to do well, but to have people on the visitors side to cheer for the home team is very risky. Let's just hope all the fighting is on the field, and that the winner comes out unscathed, because this could be the year an E. Tennessee team brings home a gold ball!
  4. Does anybody have any info on how Adam's condition is now, and how much we may see him in the game? I've heard conflicting info on him, some say he limps, others say he's cutting great in practice.
  5. Well, I was wondering when all the yammering back and forth was gonna stop. Reading this thread has been like being stuck in a hen house with all the chickens squaking at once! I think both sides are very nervous and concerned about this game, because both know that each is capable of winning. Personally I don't care about player transfers or all that right now. At this point in the season, it's a moot point. All that matters is that friday night, in a little town in east Tennessee, two very good football teams will meet to advance one step closer to the state finals. Shouldn't that be enough to get excited about? The earlier posts on this thread were, by and large, respectful to each others teams, but these last few pages have been outta here! Let's see if we can calm down, get civil, and just back our teams.
  6. What time are most people from Hampton going down friday? It would be good to have everyone together as a caravan to keep from getting lost on such a long trip.
  7. Eventually, these things even out. True, nobody from this end has won a football title, but we have won basketball titles, so it can happen.
  8. I agree Pujo. This team has grown so much since the first of the year, it's hard to believe. I've been going to games at Hampton since I was a little kid, and I've never been as impressed with a bunch of hard-working guys as I have been with these guys. They always play hard, even if they don't always play their best. No matter what happens come friday night, I will always be proud of their effort and heart that they put out this season. If they win, I'll go to Friendship Christian or Temple either one and watch and cheer and if by chance they don't we and they have nothing to be ashamed of.
