  1. I noticed in the box score that Christian Lynn and Rhoten did not play. Are they still hurt? If so, how long will they be out? When did they get hurt?

Yes they are both out, Lynn might be back by district, Rhoten is out for the year tore his ACL against White House, and another starter was out with sickness. three starters out against Sycamore is not good, considering they are playing as well as anyone at this time.

  2. I am wondering why Bradshaw was able to transfer from Greenbrier to CPA last year and not have to sit out a year- something about the 30 mile requirement. However, the football players who transferred to Perry Co. apparently did something similar and this was not allowed. What is the difference and why was one ok and the other not? Is anybody aware of the specific facts in these cases?

Thirty miles is just on paper, what about Duval at brentwood academy in 2010-2011 and now at Brentwood high in 2011-2012,is that thirty miles across brentwood , dont think so, its all about t$$aa

  3. Duval transferred to Brentwood and claimed financial hardship. That is how he got cleared to play. So the consensus is that the seat is hot, but I still haven't heard anyone who might be a good replacement. We need someone to come in and get this team back to the top of the pack.

thats crap you know it, i know it, and most anyone who keeps up with hs basketball knows it, bad team no exposure oh lets transfer to another school that is good for some exposure, not anything new numerous kids get turned down every year so how did he get the financial hardship. something is not right with this picture, go ba have a good year despite tssaa

  4. bad several of years of recruiting are catching up? lol. oops. Probably shouldnt have said that, TSSAA is watching. Of course, that is why there have been years of bad recruiting classes to begin with.

BA's lawsuit is what caused your athletic downturn. The other privates are out manuvering you at every recruiting turn. You wont be able to change that for a very long time, if ever.

Speaking of recruiting, what happened to the Duval kid, i have seen where he is playing at brentwood high, if not mistaken did he not play for BA last year ? I could swear i remember him on thr BA team, and if he was and i am not wrong, how is he playing this tear for Brentwood high, they are not out the mileage T$$AA limitation for transfering and being eligible, numerous kids would love to transfer but cannot because of T$$AA rules, just wondering.

  5. Play-In Games today:

    Greenbrier(5) at Macon County(4)

    Westmoreland(6) at White House(3)

Sycamore(1) and Goodpasture(2) have the bye.

Winner of the 4/5 game will play at Sycamore at 7:00 Monday Night (unless Westmoreland beats White House tonight.

White House (if they win) will play Goodpasture at Sycamore Monday night at 4:30.

Does anyone have final scores for last nights play in games, how

does matchups line up for monday at sycamore

  6. If Newman is throwing high 80's then Hopkins for Greenbrier is throwing 90 plus,

he was throwing harder than Newman easily, with Ledbetter being hurt for Greenbrier

and whats seems to be a lack of consistent hitting Greenbrier could be in trouble ,

Goodpasture seems to be down a little but should still be top team in district,

  7. I'm sorry, didn't I say athletic and disciplined teams? They might all be athletic but they are not all disciplined. You obviously dont know anything about a Princeton style system- it takes your strengths and turns them into weaknesses. But hey, as you said in a previous post- You KNOW more than I do.

Coach2 sounds like you are putting down most coaches in 10AA,just because teams don't run alot of back picks and make 15 passes every possession does that mean they have no discipline, maybe some coaches like to run up and down the floor insead of a princeton style offense. Why not play to your strengths just like you said about DL,each coach has there own style. I don't like watching a team that is so predictable that you no where every pass is supposed to go, i think it is good to have a system but at times let the kids have some fun as well especially if they have natural talent let them play, alot more fun as a spectator. I think it will be a great basketball season reguardless of who you pull for.

  8. Your post Ogor is correct,i myself transfered after junior year, friends i lost from original school i never regained, but did make new friends at new school, but not long term friends i had,to each his/her own as far as what is right or wrong,if schools had coaches with a passion for there jobs and there players to help them get better and not just the supplement checks for there time, there probably would not be as much of transfer issues as you see today. most private schools hire coaches to coach alot of public schools have coaches who are appointed positions. cant blame kids who are gifted for wanting the opportunity to improve there game with a coach/program that give them better chance of college education.

  9. Papadoc let me get this straight, outrebounded (box out more) free throw shots (shoot more free throws in practice) bad fg percentage (good defense by opponent) to many turnovers (again good defense by opponent) I will give it to you that they (springfield) have a good player but sounds like they beat you in all facets of game. keep playing hard and get better. your day may come.

  10. Heck, I thought the same thing. In all my years of experience ( /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> ), I always thought the T$$AA was in charge and didn't much waver. I don't know. I guess we're 'special' or something. These people up here do things their own way...and don't usually care what other people think or what the rules are. (I'm just jokin'... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> )

Seriously, I got 'texted' that we're trying to accomodate ER getting home at a reasonable time tonight. Heck, I thought we were already gonna try to do that. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

You are not kidding are you 5-sport when you state greenbrier does things there own way, your middle school program definitely fits that bill. How your highs school programs excel as they do says a whole lot about the coaches at high school, because you get zero support from middle school administration, they are trying to stop all athletics at middle school.Someone needs to look into athletic director at GMS,(SHE IS KILLING PROGRAM WITH HER LACK OF SUPPORT)

GO BOBCATS !!!!!! BRING HOME ANOTHER TITLE!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. wait for a neutral site. not a course we have never played. way to go though man by tricking us and playing the back nine. but congrats you played better than we did im not afraid to admit it. nice job just wait for legacy though. no course advantage there. good luck

When we played your course you had advantage,we are all freshmen,we had never seen your course either, now we are even, good luck in district, maybe we will finish 1-2,our boys played well, your comments that we were not on same level as you guys motivated our kids, thanks for the bulletin board material, the fresmmen are starting to get confidence that they are good, and that they can compete on any level, contnued success to your team, your guys hit the ball a ton but Oak Hills is not about length,i think it bothered some of your players.as far as tricking you, back is easier than front,we would have beaten you by more than 12 strokes if we played the front. just kidding, see you next monday.

  12. how can greenbrier be better if they have already been beaten by portland? come on that is insulting your own team by saying that the panthers are an ok team. just look at the scores. they match up soon at legacy and we will have to see greenbrier may win but until then you have to go by the scores not your opinion. portland is still reigning champs until they are knocked off. more experience for portland been there done that

Hey seemore,i quess i insulted my team,GREENBRIER 157 PORTLAND 169,Let's go by the scores not YOUR opinion

  13. I would agree Portland has a okay team, but the team to watch in your district is Greenbrier,i think Portland beat them by two strokes in there first match, but Greenbrier has seven freshmen and on sophmore on there team, all eight players capable of shooting in 30's,have had six different kids go low so far this year, they all average around 40-41,not bad for a group that has been playing about one year and half,Hunter Clary,Craig Bradshaw, Sam Rhoten,Chris Holbert,Tyler Thacker,Conner Peach,Alen West, are the freshmen and the lone sophmore Andrew Jansen. Continued good luck to this group of young men. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!

  14. These are high school kids,so i really don't like to put names on here for fear of then thinking something they are not, just saying there underclass players have good potential, does anyone have game times for district

  15. What is the problem with Greenbrier, everyone thought they would contend for title,it must be same as always, coach does not relate to players, they have some good talent, but does not get it out of the kids. Will they ever get a new coach,i know athletics is not priority in greenbrier but they do have some good kids with good potential/futures,they need a new direction.

  16. You could say that about Greenbrier also, they have beaten quite a few of the TNT teams, and the J.Haile teams as well.maybe Mt.Juliet would like to meet the boys on the hill.I think Greenbrier wanted to scrimmage and Mt.Juliet never could get dates together,i think it would have been a great middle school game.
