  1. I was wondering if people had filmed the JB games, and if they had the equipment to burn multiple copies that could be sold to the fans.I work nights and could only make it to two games this year, but I would be more than happy to buy all the games burnt on DVD if it could be done at a reasonable price, and maybe have enough markup on them to make some profit for the ball team.

Maybe its something we can brainstorm on to make sure we could possible do it next season.

  2. RedDevil88, thanks for thinking of me. :D

Well, since the thread was already hijacked by some negative remarks about a player that should've never been posted on a public message board,I figured I'd give a positive shout-out to you for being my personal all time favorite running back to come out of JBS.....although I must admit you had first place to yourself (in my mind) for like 27+ years, BUT now have to share it with Colton. :thumb:

Edit: Can somebody post the JB football schedule for next year please? Oh yeah,I would also like to see the Jr High schedule if anybody happens to have it. Thanks in advance.

  3. Congrads. How many time has Mr. Football been won more than once by the same player?

Orlando Wade from Spring Hill 85/86.

Lorenza Edwards from Donelson Christian Academy 89/90.

    Eric Locke from Riverdale 96/97.

Golden Tate from JP II 05/06

Congrats to Marco Daily for having another phenomenal season.

  4. In fact, I have heard some former football players say they dreamed about being suited up for 10 years after graduation.

I still dream about it 20 yrs later..... only now if one of these young men hit me I wouldn't be able to get out of bed for a couple of days.

  5. I also agree he will be RB in college.

    DickieV,

Keep an eye out for him at Scout.com. If he isn't in the top 250 recruits now,he could be by the time the playoffs are over with.Since he's just a junior more than likely you'll see a lot more college's trying to get him to sign in the off-season,or during next season.

  6. I am a part of one lucky family in terms of legendary Tennessee HS coaches--I played for Coach Owen at MBA, and my dad played for Coach Smith at Springfield. My favorite part about this is how much respect Coach Owen had for Coach Smith. He could talk for hours about some of the match-ups they had early in his (Coach Owen's) career. Both among the true giants of coaching in TN!

WOW! What are the odds of a father & son playing for two of the greats in HS football.

  7. NoDoubt,

Im sorry your ex-players had to hear such classless, immature, and just down right idiotic comments.

Like Reddevil44, I also apologize on behalf of Jo Byrns, and the community.Hopefully one of the seniors (or better yet coaches) will read this and have a little one on one with a couple of players that need to learn how to conduct themselves both on,and off the field. I can assure you this is not the norm.

Good luck to you this coming season.I work In Greenbrier,so Im well aware of the great fans, players, and tradition you people have.

  8. another one like many on here that ran into trouble was jeffery vaughn/dickson county. he was truly a great running back/mr football his senior year when they won the state. could not stay out of trouble though.

II saw him play, and yes he was a great running back.DC won the class AAA Championship under Coach Jerry Pearson who coached at Springfield for many years.

A few of the best I got to see:

    Carl Woods-Gallatin

    Travis Stephens-Clarksville

    Lorenza Edwards-DCA

    Troy Fleming-BGA

    Kenny Weatherspoon-Stratford

  9. the past couple of years The University of Tennessee is the WORST IN AMERICA on BEING THUG U, over 20 players displined or expelled from our All Mighty Vols..... I think The University of Tennessee Football has been a Bledsoe Co. Warrior

I agree with you about Tennessee having more than its fair share of problems, but having over 20 players disciplined or expelled atleast shows Fulmer is making somewhat of an effort. A lot of schools should have more players than that disciplined, instead the Coaches do nothing but turn a blind eye.
