  1. Melrose is a quality team, but not the juggernaut they used to be. If HC plays well, they should win. The Melrose fans are not enamored with their Coach, is what I hear, and he may be behind the curve in a way. He is over 70 and was a great Coach at one time, having won Super Bowls with the Cowboys. He got Michael Irvin to give a pep talk before a game last year. However I think the Coaching edge goes to HC and if turnovers are equal, HC wins.

  2. You guys changed my mind. Lots of kids like to play for him, though. Maybe he is different with his own players. I'm going to drop it here because we might get closed down if we continue to talk about a coach. I am, as always, very nervous about tonight. We need this win badly. And when playing Munford (for the past two years), you have to wonder if you are playing on an equally FAIR level.

IMO the statements about Coach Randall and cheating cross the line. I do not know him personally, but from what Iv'e seen and heard, he is a tough, old school football coach. Does he have an ego? Possibly. Most head coaches probably do to some degree. I have a nephew who played for him last year and said he never knew what football was like until Randall came. The summer workouts were exceptionally hard and that team last year had confidence from knowing nobody else worked harder. The year before I think was 2-8 and quite frankly a poor football team. Munford, to my knowledge had four players move to Tipton County that summer. A LB who was a good player, but not on any All- Region team, The Walker kid who was a very good DE and is now playing at Univ of Memphis, a RB who was a good but not great player, and a DB from Melrose, who ran back kicks and played corner, ocassionally playing wingback on offfense. If that is "cheating" then we did the same thing when I played at HC. Randy Harris transferred in before my JR year and Tim Adkisson before my SR year. Both all-state. No, Coach Randall is a good hard nosed football Coach that gets the most out of his teams.

  3. Big Wally - are you making the trip home this weekend to see the game? It should be a great one! Fitting quote since it is near All Hallows Eve!

No, my son has a baseball tournament in Memphis, but I will be rooting for HC and have little doubt about the result. Munford's line, both sides, will be outmanned.

  4. Paranoia, {(par' e-noi'ah) a mental disorder characterized by systematized delusions, especially persecution}, it appears, is upon us.

"...incredible as it may seem, observations lead to the inescapable assumption that those strange beings who landed in the Jersey farmlands tonight are the vanguard of an invading army from the planet Mars". -H.G. Wells (BOO)

  5. You have completely shown your ignorance with the "fatboy" statement.

and the rest of the crap you said, I am sure you said the same stuff the Clarksville folks, and how did that work out for you?

Maplewood will NEVER play Henry County in the playoffs!!! You would have to get past the third round, much less the second round.

Let me tell you a little about our pal boski. I will now speak in code so he won't catch on:

e Hay as hay hortcomings say hat tay anifest may hemselves tay n iay ashing lay ut oay t ay eople pay nd ay nstitutions iay f oay cheivement ay.

    SAVE~?

  6. In my work as a criminal psychologist I have run into people like boski from time to time and I have analyzed his posts:

    1) He suffers from real or perceived inadequacies or shortcomings that cause him to lash out at his perceived enemies so he can appear (to himself) a more masculine form than what he sees in the mirror day after day after day.

    2) Probably divorced and unfortunately blames himself for his failure to properly support and care for his mate. If children were borne of this union his guilt increases for his masculine example his children need is surely to be found elsewhere.

    3) Little or no college, probably a dropout, which again would lead to resentment of people and institutions of achievement. Hates his job and spends most days wishing he were the boss only to realize it is unlikely to ever happen.

    OR

He could be a two year old.
