  1. Another good try but I live in south Doyle

Dont think you are from either community. I have asked around both , but i would hate to be you if they find you out. You are not a greenback fan, and coalfield fans dont act that way either. maybe you need to get lost.....soon

  2. You mommas need to square off on the 50 yard line on Friday night. Leave the football talk to the daddies and men in here. This thread is like a good Jerry Springer episode. You girls go talk women's soccer, crocheting, basket weaving, dance, yoga, or whatever other sport you want. You're messing up the Greenback football board. LMBO

    you are the man Perry!

  3. I'm glad for jellico that there having a good season and hope they continue to do so except for this week lol. But I'm looking forward to the Thursday night game myself not over looking anyone

I have a friend who's son plays in oneida.  he says he does not think anyone in the region can touch greenback.  that harriman may have the best chance of everyone.  he says coalfiled is good but to the level they were a few years ago.

  4. Good post.I wish the best for those kids and community.I would like to were our whole region would be a knock down dragout every Fri night! That's the only way we will be able to compete with the MUCH LARGER West Tn teams.

It is a shame good regions have to play each other twice a year. it should really only get to that point in the quarter finals. playing with the west teams will be tough as long as they have such huge numbers. most teams first 11 can compete, but one injury can effect 3 or 4 positions in small schools. depth and special teams are a big disadvantage in my opinion.

  5. Now children play nice. Boys all of you should be respectful of Jellico. They are trying to build what all of you guys have. When you hear Oneida, south Pitt , coalfield, greenback, and now harriman, you know those are small school programs who are respected and do it the right way. I am partial to greenback, coalfield, and Pitt. They always have small enrollment but big expectations and traditions. You guys should pull for each other except one or maybe two night a season. Good luck to all of you. The word in middle tn is the Kees could compete in 2A this season for the ship too. Who ever comes through that region will be battle tested for sure, but give Jellico it's due. Kids do read this crap on here and this is what it's about. It's just fun for us old guys to still be able to talk about what we loved doing. Peace to all! â˜ï¸

  6. You must have missed my post above that broke all of this down...

I gave the bottom 32 but when you do that and you are left with about 19 schools in 1A whose enrollments range from around 340-399 and then they would have to join 2A with schools of up to 599 kids...so there is a ton more to it then just taking the bottom 32 out. Cause it leaves the rest of current 1A just lost in the shuffle.

Actually I saw it......it is much easier to find depth and field a team with340-399 than 175 to 340.
  7. Greenback & Coalfield both are ranked in the top 10 of lowest enrollments of schools with Football teams. I understand it from your POV though as a team like Union City, Peabody, Trousdale and a couple others are nearly double than those 2 schools but then again, how can they fix it?

First, go look at some of the smaller teams schedules...they already travel, and travel more in the playoffs. Second, by taking the top and bottom 32 it give those teams a fair chance to compete especially where depth is concerned. Also, if the rest of the schools were spread out evenly it would be more fair for those schools.

  8. Some would be 2-3 hours away from at least some of their region opponents.

Yes but most schools travel anyways......I think it would be great for the smaller schools to have a legit chance. Look at greenback and coalfield the last two years. Both good teams with great tradition and were no match for a private school and a magnet school with 400 students.

  9. No,no I don't think you're joking,a little addled maybe, but not joking.I probably won't make the trip.I don't know why after I complemented your  GB score prediction that you think I'm crazy too.I'm glad you're from Oneida And not GB.Your jibberish on here sounds like you are a pro at making ice cream stick ash trays. Now the 4.49 speed is bonafide, believe it or not.But nobody runs many straight shots in football. You're thinking Track and Field. If a guy comes on here and is not a b--- licking cronie of yours thats bowing down to you like you were Gen. Neylands mentor, he's crazy.Tell me,how can you take plays off and run 36 tds? Reckon he gets a little winded and needs a blow?Reckon? If he need a little bagged air he should run straight to you on the fence.Just hold up a sign that says "Ole Crow" 'cause that's what you've gotta be full of.Holler when you get back.I want to hear your Wonderful, consice critique.Bye old buddy.

pop, you are a distraction and do not do the greenback community justice. they don't act this way. you are lucky some of those guys in that community don't  come find you on their own. #1 is good player. let him be a good player without adding any extra pressure on him.

  10. I will be honest, I'll be pulling for Oneida and greenback the rest of the way this year unless of course there is another playoff meeting. I'd love to come back down to GB. It was freezing cold last year and the atmosphere was awesome. Tho I'm sure the team doesn't want to go back. Lol

First I want to say I think I'm converting to a jackets fan the rest of this season. My cats are struggling . Second, KW11 ....looks like you said right here who you were pulling for the rest of the way? Third hats off to coalfield, I never thought you could beat the Indians last night. It's hard to wear purple and gold today.

  11. Just about anyone can play center if its not a shotgun snap offense? Really? Have you ever had any experience playing O line? Center is the QB of the O line, or at least should be. That is where the blocking assignment adjustments & audible decisions are made, or supposed to any way. Not to mention he is the ONLY player on offense that has to handle he ball every play. Center is he heart of any O line. They're kinda like kickers, a little different & don't mess with their "mojo" if it's working. They're not as weird as kickers though, kickers are strange characters in deed

maybe kba can understand this now!

  12. @kazam 37 and ttubobcat, the Irish have played up in classes but its due to the multilplier, Catholic was dominate in 3A under coach Pemberton and the last 5 years its been a struggle (mostly due to playing 5A and 6A teams). The Irish are trying to build what they had. Coalfield had maintained. Say what you feel but it will be a battle.

Q....You guys are a heavy favorite. Act like it. Going from playing all those big schools with size and speed to playing a class A school should be walk in the park, even if they are ranked. No you cant over look them but come on, what chance should they really have? You act like everyone should feel sorry for the poor old Irish!

  13. Call it whatever you want doesnt change a thing. They paid the price for what happened and its long over. You cant seem to get out of the past the only thing you can ever contribute to this board is crying and name calling. Why dont you try to grow up a little bit and move on? If you really want to get into a mudslinging contest we can talk about the coach yall had that same year that got fired for inappropriate relationships with cheerleaders and mothers,,,,,,

exactly right raven, but that in no way gave cosby an advantage on the field! why cant you just admit that grace was not playing by the rules. it would be hard for me to feel good about winning  all those games and a championship knowing it wasn't legit.
