Who will win the battle of the Milkcan (WGHS vs. SGHS) in 2007?

That's right, the great SGHS can compete outside Greene County, apparently better than GHS (with the record to prove it). I graduated from GHS and I wouldn't let my kids go there! GHS football is sooooooooo overrated, they used to have a good team, now it's not what it used to be since Coach Sorrels retired. I know what I am talking about, I have family members that played for him and Zeller and I went to the games. The present team is nothing to write home about. Maybe they will find a high dollar coach to get them back on track (since they have plenty of money). But I stand by what I said SGHS is a school that cares about its kids. In my opinion don't think having one big high school is the answer. Maybe all Greene County schools don't have championship teams, but more kids can have the opportunity to enjoy playing sports instead of doing other unproductive or destructive things. The larger schools may have the resources to produce more competitive teams but so many kids will be left out. Don't forget, school is about getting an education and our kids learning to be productive adults. I feel being a part of a team teaches kids to get along, work together and respect others. All valuable lessons. After four short years of high school some kids can say they were on a championship team they just won't be able to spell it. I agree you can't compare to SG but, if you are educated you can surely count. SG may have 3 feeder schools but they are all very small and can't out number the # of incoming freshman @ CD and WG. Three of the 4 Greene county high schools should be getting about the same # to choose from each year. Also how many players do all the county high schools loose to the almighty GHS. They have ALL the money and All the support they sure couldn't seem to stack up this year. You can't blame it all on the coaches. NG should be banned from football after the stunt they pulled playing against SG!!!! It didn't get any press but the game had to be ended early because of NG behavior on the field. Their coach didn't seem to try to do much about it either. The behavior in the locker room after the game was ridiculous!! I know what I'm talking about, I was there!! I think SG has an advantage over the other 3 Greene county high schools because they have support from the coaches, parents, SGHS staff, their classmates, their community, former players as well as other admirers. The players have a lot of heart no matter what grade, they are SG REBELS for life. We love ya guys! Best of luck this year. GOOOOOOO REBELS!!!!

anybody know if South Greene High School (1-2A) will have a strong team this year? are they losing many seniors? who is qb?
