  1. The Tennessee Ironman is this Saturday at Blackman HS in Murfreesboro, TN.

Start time is 8am with Freestyle, Greco, and then Folkstyle.

Satellite weigh ins in various places on Friday, Coach Hatcher will send out locations.

I know Blackman (5-8), Cleveland, and St. Benedict (5-7) are locations. I believe there is one in Clarksville, Knoxville, and in Alabama.

  3. I'm all for getting an adequate facility. I'm not opposed to having it back at McKenzie. Getting bumped for women's basketball was bad. But for me, even worse than that, was how rude most of the security and gatekeepers were and also not allowing teams and kids to bring in their own healthy food. At least at the cow palace, the people have always been friendly and easy to work with.

  4. I will bet on Kramer. He's logged tons of miles this off season getting great competition, so he hasn't been sitting around. He's also been working with the Cumberland University group that has coaches Andrew Nicola, Brandon Becker, and Dave Herman. Also, during the season, I'm sure Coach Hamm gives him all he wants (albeit it may be 30-45 seconds at a time, lol). The others listed are talented, but I think Kramer is on a different level right now.

  5. Once kids travel throughout the freestyle season, travel to Dixie Duals, Virginia Beach, Brute Nationals, and then go to team camp, a lot of funds are exhausted. I know a few of the elite wrestlers would love to be on this trip but simply could not afford it. So BringBack, throw some sponsorship over to Team Tennessee and maybe we can field a team to your liking.

  7. Hamm and myself have offered numerous times to help seed/separate the state tournament to no avail. A couple of years ago, we had the Soddy and Bradley hwts meeting in the 2nd round. That's an injustice to those kids! Crawford should have never met Cyree in the 2nd round this year. If they can seed a 64 man basketball tournament, surely we can at least separate kids that accomplished a lot during the season.

  8. Team Murfreesboro needs a 170lber (you get to weigh 175) for the Dixie Duals this weekend. We will be leaving Blackman at 2pm on Friday, March 15 or you can meet us at Spain Park HS in Birmingham at 6pm. Email me at ronniebray@hotmail.com if interested and for further details.
