Regardless, this Fisak kid is tough as nails. I was impressed. He looks to have a bright future.
  7. Not a bad bandwagon to be on. Only losing to Cleveland and Wilson Central is pretty good for both of us.
  8. The Blackman Preseason Tournament will be Nov 17. We also be a mass hydration test site. Lots of great wrestling if you've never been! Kids are grouped according to weight and skill level. Email Ronnie Bray at [email protected] for more info. Scratch weights should be taken right after your practice. Whatever the wrestler’s weight is at the end of practice is the scratch weight. *Because this is an early season scrimmage, we don’t want to focus on making weight. Hence, the reason for scratch weigh-ins. This also allows for teams to arrive later, for us to start earlier, and to speed up the event. We expect weigh-ins to be conducted properly and wrestlers to try maintaining their scratch weight rather than trying to gain advantage by putting on weight. Line-ups must be entered on Track Wrestling. You will receive an email link. Please indicate skill level 1-4 (Elite-1, Good-2, Fair-3, Beginner-4) BRACKETS: Round Robins will be used for bracketing. Wrestlers will be grouped as best as possible according to skill level. Please be as close/honest as possible when rating and weighing your wrestlers. All matches will be three 1 minute periods. 9. Michael Chandler is in Nashville. That would probably be your best bet.
  10. For those who have not heard, Dave Sommers wife, Cheryl, has stage 4 cancer. Dave and his family have been involved in wrestling in TN for several years. She is currently undergoing treatment. All prayers for them are greatly appreciated.
  11. The only reason that we started late was because we allowed some to register the morning of the tournament. We could have easily said, "sorry, registration is closed." But with last minute baseball and soccer cancellations because of weather, those kids wanted to wrestle and we wanted to make sure they got that chance. Big thanks to John Salter for handling all of that because he had to put together 5 tournaments that changed with each new kid. If you know John, you know tournaments are always on time. We drove him crazy but he made sure every kid got in.
  12. Thank to all that came out this weekend! Tons of matches this weekend. We had several get 11 matches and a few get 12. That's a ton of wrestling experience!
  13. Registration closes tomorrow so go ahead and get signed up! Only off season tournament in the state where you can wrestle all 3 styles!
  14. Yes sir! First whistle blows at 6PM!
