I'm sure your right coach... starting with MBA...word has it they are still looking for a starter...but you know how hard it is to keep stories straight on these boards..It's really hard to back pedal and apologize at the same time...so I think I'll leave this subject alone and just catch the game on Friday night!

First and foremost I don't need anyone to defend me...thank you...My orginal post was not a criticsim...but the facts of his journey over the last few years! The boy has talent....Friday night I guess we'll find out how much! As for an apology...SORRY! The delete was an error on my part not an attempt to cover up anything (since it was being quoted).

If you will re-read my post...I never mentioned the kid...just the journey! You sir are the one who called him by name! I never questioned his talent.... as a matter of fact just wondered why someone with so much of it would choose the course that he followed!

Your exactly right...he is not the only boy to be held back..it's done all over town! My beef is with the system itself that puts so much importance on winning that we as parents will do anything to make our kids the HERO of the team! I feel sorry for the Cordell boy...I hope he has found friendships that last longer than his enrollment at school.

Life after baseball? Now that's why I thought we sent our kids to high school..not for state champtionships...class-less!

Weren't there several Tennessee teams competing..how did they fare?

Rob Kurtz is also pitching for the Brentwood A's this year..Wilson Nealy (MBA) Ben Burgess (Brentwood) Jordan Jones (Brentwood Academy) and Matt McGee (Brentwood) were named to the AAU Junior Olympic Team last summer ...all play on the A's team. I believe all of the above are 08 grads.

The Brentwood A's have both Navery Moore and Matt Williams who you are referring to...they are currently ranked number 3 in the nation behind the East Cobb Astros out of Atlanta and a team out of CA. It is my understanding that they also have Sonny Gray and Casey Dykes. This is a team to watch!

Why would Flatt do that? Then you couldn't see the new multi million dollar sports building BA just completed!
