1. Now that some time has gone by, I am able to write objectivly about the Maryville team, her it is:

I don't know why it was such a suprise that they went very far this year, they have a very good team! I think it's next to stupid to take certain people out of the team and say what if such and such wasn't there, then they would have been a different team......duh...they were all there a part of the team (refering to Basil and the other "new"player).

When they beat us (Bradley) we were not schocked, b/c of the the way we played, and b/c of the way they played. They deserved to win that game.

It looks good that we have D1 players on our team, but really, you can only count one that will make a difference today, the other one is picked on potential. We have Groothuis that will most likely sign with North Florida, and he does a good job most of the time as well. You guys were just better that us on that night.

Good luck next year, I hope you win another one. You have a very special team. Keep it in the East.

BTW, we were rooting for Maryville in the Championship, even though it was painful.........aaahhh, it was a killer!

  2. QUOTE(BroadwayBaller @ Mar 26 2007 - 08:43 AM) 826422910Wattad had 9 points and 9 assists on 4/9 shooting... he also had the game winning assist to Wiggins when the west team sent 3 guys towards him. Unselfishly (something you can always say about Omar) he gave the ball up and wiggins scored. Kyle Groothius also had 25 points, mostly layups at the end of breaking the press. Wattad also had 4 rebounds.... Oglesby finished with 6 points and 7 assists... I don't see how you can say Wattad won't play at Georgetown after seeing him play. He may not dazzle but he does what he must to get the W. Good job EAST

I hope Omar gets to play, but after I saw Georgetown play recently, there is no way, sorry. But then again, you never know. He needs to put on weight, and quite a bit of it to have a chance. Muscle weight that is.

I wish him the best. Good thing Wattad and Oglesby woun't play together. They don't mix (both ways), I've seen them play together before.

    Best of luck to both! /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

  3. QUOTE(sparta boy @ Mar 20 2007 - 09:47 AM) 826418376he better get used to sitting!!!!!!

    That's so cold.

Sounds like you wish that he woun't get any playing time, why is that? /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

  4. QUOTE(HHSnumber1fan @ Mar 19 2007 - 08:12 PM) 826417987Anybody that knows him, know if he was at the Clemson vs. Ole Miss game tonight. I saw somebody sitting behind there bench and it looked a whole lot like him. Just wondering.

You are very observant! That was him sitting right behind the Clemson bench. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  5. Hope Maryville takes the golden ball home to East TN. I have to dig deep to say that b/c they beat us in the first game (BC). They deserve the victory, they are certainly skilled and strong enough.

Good luck to you guys, Kent keep goin to the basket, few people can stop you. Great family by the way.

  6. QUOTE(BroadwayBaller @ Mar 7 2007 - 09:31 PM) 826404135The game is going to come down to post play. Maryville owned SHHS because the tallest post on the hill was 6'4". Bradley should be able to handle the inside with Dodd and Groothius. Oglesby will do Oglesby just like Wattad did Wattad... it is the REST OF THE GUYS that will make the diff. Bradley by 6. By even more if Groot and Keith can put up numbers and/or limit the effectiveness of the tight-end/center.

    I agree, GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. QUOTE(eridbro1 @ Mar 7 2007 - 08:48 PM) 826404052Comming in from Vail, Colorado. Can't wait, this is proving to be the longest week of the year.

Hey, Terrence Oglesby's grandmother lives in Vail, CO.

    How interesting.......lol

  8. QUOTE(sparta boy @ Mar 6 2007 - 10:28 AM) 826401951we found that out foul shots 29-9.They are a good team would love to have played them on neutral site where fans couldnt walk out and carry on conversation in between halfs with the ref very unprofessional!!!!!Ogelsby was funny came out about 20 minutes after rest of his team and went to locker room about 20 minutes early.

TO had back spasms. He was ok initially, but something happened in the 2nd quarter. After the game he had an awful time even standing up. He is getting therapy and muscle relaxants. Usually he comes back in and stays and talks to the kids and who ever, but he was in so much pain.

Hope he will feel better soon.

  9. QUOTE(TeRrAnCe_JaY21 @ Mar 3 2007 - 01:19 AM) 826397905Man, I've heard from a VERY reliable source that the two "twin towers" arnt very good. You just have to shut down odgolsy or w/e. The only prob with yalls team is that if yall go out their shooting the ball cold then ur in trouble.

Well, we will just have to see about that woun't we......

    K. Groothuis averages 23 points in the Regional Tournament, so the ability is there. K. Dodd has usually quite a few blocks a game, but has not scored very much. Rebounding is his specialty, I guess.

It will be an exciting game tomorrow.....I HOPE BRADLEY WINNS!!!
