"shake and bake"

Now that some time has gone by, I am able to write objectivly about the Maryville team, her it is: I don't know why it was such a suprise that they went very far this year, they have a very good team! I think it's next to stupid to take certain people out of the team and say what if such and such wasn't there, then they would have been a different team......duh...they were all there a part of the team (refering to Basil and the other "new"player). When they beat us (Bradley) we were not schocked, b/c of the the way we played, and b/c of the way they played. They deserved to win that game. It looks good that we have D1 players on our team, but really, you can only count one that will make a difference today, the other one is picked on potential. We have Groothuis that will most likely sign with North Florida, and he does a good job most of the time as well. You guys were just better that us on that night. Good luck next year, I hope you win another one. You have a very special team. Keep it in the East. BTW, we were rooting for Maryville in the Championship, even though it was painful.........aaahhh, it was a killer!

Omar played well, and like broadwayballer said, it was an All Star game, and it tough to show your stuff. He was interviewed and it looked like they would be happy to have him. btw, Omar always plays good defence.

I hope Omar gets to play, but after I saw Georgetown play recently, there is no way, sorry. But then again, you never know. He needs to put on weight, and quite a bit of it to have a chance. Muscle weight that is. I wish him the best. Good thing Wattad and Oglesby woun't play together. They don't mix (both ways), I've seen them play together before. Did it seem strange that only players from the West got Mr. Basketball? Very few even got their team to the State Championship. You don't have to recap. the criteria for a Mr. Basketball, I know them. I would just like to know who had the final "say so".

Hope Maryville takes the golden ball home to East TN. I have to dig deep to say that b/c they beat us in the first game (BC). They deserve the victory, they are certainly skilled and strong enough. Who does he play for in the summer time? If you are good, coaches have a nack for knowing about you, and they may, I'm just asking.

Congrats to this kid, whomever he is...... I have never heard of this guy. Is he ranked in the state, and if so where and how high? He must be a great player if he beat out Wiggins and Wattad! Strange?

I don't think it matters who is still in the tournament as far as Mr. Basketball. I think that was voted on before, at least, R egypt was out. We will have to wait and see, I guess.

TO had back spasms. He was ok initially, but something happened in the 2nd quarter. After the game he had an awful time even standing up. He is getting therapy and muscle relaxants. Usually he comes back in and stays and talks to the kids and who ever, but he was in so much pain. Hope he will feel better soon.

Well, we will just have to see about that woun't we...... K. Groothuis averages 23 points in the Regional Tournament, so the ability is there. K. Dodd has usually quite a few blocks a game, but has not scored very much. Rebounding is his specialty, I guess. It will be an exciting game tomorrow.....I HOPE BRADLEY WINNS!!!
