  1. The Hunters Lane coach will be from metro and probably young. The administration wants someone

she can control. Whoever gets job must be able to survive with few assistants, no spring practice

little contact with feeder schools and be aware of enemies in the gym.

  2. Another one bites the dust

Other school begin to be nervous.

This will not be the last one to fall in 2011.

Other parents are coming forwarded with info.

  3. WE, heard your next gig might be in Mexico at a worm farm or at a tequila factory. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Remember they will always praise you until someone new comes along. Hope you were able to get the new printer for christmas. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I know you will coach next year, because that's what you love. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

  4. sorry, but I am out of all loops........... I am currently south of Tennessee for a while, and I have "zero" info on the comings and goings of the current Blackman job search. I think that a couple of Wilson County's finnest did apply for the job! I do know for sure that ONE of the HC's did apply. I am in the twilight of a mediocre career (LOL), and if one particular coach gets the job..............I will probably be shoved on into the "darkness". I did hear that someone near and dear to you also applied..............

    ole

Say hello to Captain Morgan for me, and the HC is in the hunt, but the metro man is at the school up the road , hear he is not happy the way the school is run. Eat the worm Pancho!!!!!LOL

  5. You had me until that last statement - then your ignorance became apparent.

There is an old myth out there that football makes a boy a man - I disagree. I know a lot of that play(ed) football. They think they're men because they put on a pair of pads and a helmet every Friday night. But they're stupid little boys stuck in big men's bodies who think brute force can take you where you want to go.

Don't throw down on other sports to make your point here. Our school has tons of boys that play both football and basketball and I wouldn't use your colorful term to describe any of them. Too bad this is an anonymous board because I'm sure several of them would love to stop by your house and chat with you about your opinion on basketball and soccer in a civilized and mature manner. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

Wow, talk about problems, you must of had a bad football experience /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

  6. Here is a better rumor.................about as valid as the Rankin one. I think some people just blurt stuff out so that head will rattle a bit and indicate that there may be a brain lurking in that area.

Here's mine...............this is what really may happen!

Original Head Coach at Riverdale, Phil Watts (become very wealthy----actually very true) will BUY Riverdale and turn it into EAGLE ACADEMY; the private school of all private schools and immediately challenge all Tenn privates.

    ole!!

Way to go Rio Grande Man, your great friend c. flatt is in the county and would love the academy in the boro. Senor Cancun, you have great insight, and I hope good luck friday. cinco de mayo. lol /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  7. LOD, I did some checking and you are correct. WC lost 2 starters in the MJ game and then lost 2 starters vs the Stars and you are right; they are thin. I would say that the Coach McDaniel might have an easy go of it this Friday night. That bunch from the Glade will scrap with you though...................it is a shame that they will not be at full strength. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

May we take this with a grian of salt, tequila breath. I always wonder about inside info , good or bad. A week off to heal seems to be what the cats had last week. Poor me does not always work Cisco. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

  8. Game face on Tuesday!..................way too early; probably just a case of painful hemorrhoids!! /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> or bad burrito from Taco Bell.............

You know about GAS, good luck Friday. Hope all your key players are healthy and your defense rises up this time, and your offense plays error free.

  9. Dont think there is any pain train coming any time this season. In case you havent been around sports much most teams get better as the year goes on. Some teams battle injuries more than others but for the most part kids learn more and coaches can expect more and more from their teams. Gallatin is getting better but is still no where near the team they had last year. Hendersonville looks like a contender at this point and as you said are playing solid ball. Antioch is struggling a bit but I feel like they are going to turn things around and compete for a playoff spot. Overton has never and will never "quit." Overton has played the likes of Hillsboro, Father Ryan, Glencliff, and Antioch. How in the world can you say that they have quit. Hunters Lane is still the team to beat imo. Right now Gallatin isnt playing well enough to beat them and Hendersonville would give them a run for their money but would come up short. McGavock, Glencliff, and Hillwood are struggling but we all knew that they would. They are not a disgrace. Hillwood is improving with Mose but it takes time to turn a program around. I see the region ending up with Hunters Lane on top and then after that its a toss up. I can tell you this, there is most definately not a pain train of any kind coming from Sumner Co. this year. Maybe you should gear up your band, get the banjo going, and hop on a train to some bluegrass festival.

You must have not been at the Ryan game or the Antioch game for you to say never 'quit".

But, you are correct about no train is coming from Sumner Co..

  10. I agree which is why I stated IF. I dont think any decent person or coach would do that. MBA's staff was great while I was at the game last Friday. Very nice people and all seemed happy to help out around there. Again my big word was IF.

As far as the game, the DNJ has an article about Coach A coming home, but not really. Pretty interesting to hear how he considered Dunn a second father and still runs the wing T because of his influence. Looks like the weather is going to be great!

Good gosh Wippy, put it to bed. You sound like his agent.
