I wonder how many private school coaches will apply for the head football job at Stratford. Coach Smith left metro twice, and even accepted the soccer head coaching position at Lipscomb College, before Ezell came calling. I bet they are upset with the fact , he now is looking to leave.

I bet all the parents of potential football players at Mcgavock were overjoyed to read today's sports page article about their new coach. It's reassuring he was the principal's choice, although he had to make him complete court ordered classes after interviewing for the job. Another good pick was a quitter at one school gets a head coaching job that he chooses at another metro school. Where is the ath. dir. of the system or is he only protecting his job because he is incompetent.

Monty has no inside info on HL , Mcg or any other school. He changed his predictions about coaches getting the jobs 3 different times along with when they would be announced. The crap about assistants undermining the head coach is to cover for inadquate preparation for the job. Leave the thread ans. dr., etc., you have no credibilty anymore.

Metro principals can't make good decisions about athlectis because it is has low priorty and means very little to them.

sexyred, I do not know if you outed answerking or not but you did hit on something very apparent if you go back and read his posts. He tried coaching and was a miserable failure and quit or got fired, and needs a hiding place to bash coaches and feel good about himself. Just pity him and hope he can get some professional help for his childhood problems.

Clinics were mentioned on another thread and I would like to know reasons coaches go. The best clinic I was involed in was at a high school where each staff member made a presentation on the position he coached, drills, techniques, and schemes were covered along with his philosphy of football.

Good post about Coach Bryant, don't sweat answerknows, because he rambles a lot and gets his posts mixed up. He might be fading in out of his altered-egos,it could be Mt.Juliet, Antioch, Chicago, or the Smokey Mountains or even his old pal crazebear.

If Stratford did come open, why would Arnett Bodenhamer not be considered, he has won just about every championship in ninth grade football and has beat Broome in every head to head meeting.

Second interviews at mcgavock: D. Armstrong, A. Broome, B. Spears, S. Smith, & R. Campbell.

I understand Glencliff and Mcgavock granted interviews to any assistant coach on the current staff, they showed some class in allowing this action. Hunters Lane interviews are today and I hope they do the same. Also, Mcgavock begins the second round of interviews Monday, Glencliff was a done deal from the begining.

Yes, it helps to have head coaching on your resume, but in all things it is not what you know but who you know.

Metro madness is about to begin again with the 3 head football job to be filled. Only metro would consider some of these people, a coach that hit a student with a baseball bat and has many physical altercations with other students, a coach that has left the system two times in the past, a coach that got a head coaching job and quit after one season, a coach that demands no teaching duties as a deal breaker; it is almost laugable if it did not hurt the kids that play football.
