  1. Healthy, talented 15 - 18 year-olds should be able to play all day, any day. Excuses, excuses...

No excuses, we lost. Like it was said you have to hit the ball if you want to win. I do think if it were played as a series we would win 2 out of 3. Last night was just not our night. So therefore we will be paying to go to the boro. But you know what, as of right now I don't think siegel has sailed through yet. So they don't need to start getting too cocky themselves. But you know what, it is a compliment for us to hear "we beat Coffee County". Cause we know we are good. We just have rough times like anyone else. For now next year is a long time away. So I won't even begin to bore anyone with the "how great we will be speech". Remember, time will tell all.

  2. Just curious. Why is the championship game now scheduled for Sunday? Was Friday night or all day Saturday not an option? Graduation or other conflicts????

If that's true, I sure hope you don't get a huge downpour on Sunday, which the forecast seems to show. That would not be good.

I know prom is Saturday night for Coffee County but I think if game had been moved to 6 we could have gotten it in and then played Saturday morning if necesary. I just think putting it off till Sunday is gonna create a problem.

  3. Well if you are lookin for a good Doc for some pills we have gotten here in T'town. Dr. Feelgood has the best pills for anything just ask Bobby Joe and takes them everyday and he nevers gets nervous even when they turn off his water or gas! Always very calm just let me know if you need some because he is really good! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

Put a stand up at game I am sure you will sell out.

  4. I can't believe that Coffee Co. gave up 7 runs in a single game with the GREAT pitching we've been hearing about alllllllllllllllllllllllllllll year. Give up 7 runs to Ooltewah or Soddy Daisy and you are DONE FOR THE YEAR.

It is unbelievable that no matter how hard two good teams play there always has to be someone trying to throw egg in someones face. A simple good job would have been sufficient.

  5. They have already beaten them twice......or did I miss something?

Well now they have both beat each other twice so what does that mean? It means even playing ground now. Noone can say one is the underdog or one is superior. As I keep saying time will tell. Go Lady Raiders!!!!!

  6. I agree, that is a very classy move, but what about him allowing his assistant coach (also not a faculty member) go to the middle school and tell the girls that they must play travel ball for him and not play for the middle school if they want to make the high school team. That sounds a little shady to me, and classless. I have personally seen this "man" do some very shady things and speak very poorly about other coaches who are on staff in front of his girls. He at one time instructed them to all drop their weight lifting class and bashed the teacher of that class because he made them work out. I do not see that as a classy move at all. But if you want to stick your head in the sand then that is fine. Go ahead and someone will come by and kick you square in the tail for your trouble. Pure and simple non-faculty coaches should not be head coaches. They have not gone to school to educate, which is the main purpose of any school event, and they do not show the same type of professionalism that many other coaches/teachers do if for no other reason because you have to see the people you try to undercut every single day at work.

Personally I have no first-hand knowledge if what you say is true or false. But going by the fact that all you want to do is stir up trouble for Terry and Kenny all the time I will go with my gut that you take things out of context. Personally I would not want Taylor to coach my kids anything. "call that a bash if you want to". The argument about a faculty coach is getting really really old. He is not on faculty we all know it. He is still the coach so get over it. Just because he doesn't teach at that school means what? Nothing. Taylor does not teach at middle school does that mean she knows nothing about those kids. Even though I do not like her I still think that is a stupid conclusion. A person can teach at the school and still not know anything about his or her students.

So going to school to learn to educate teaches you professionalism. So the head coach of football that is a faculty member calling his team names was professional, degrading them daily was profeesional? This was addressed on another board at another time so we wont go into it. BUT being on faculty does not automatically make you a god of professionalism or teaching your athletes everyday lessons of life. Being a good person does that no matter what your role is.

  7. I dont think chatty is a educator but I believe her husband is.

I believe she is from the other side of the mountain.

    I may be wrong though.

No I think you are right.

  8. Personally I would prefer to see my daughter go to college based on her academic abilities. Don't get me wrong, it would be great for her to play at the next level, but let's be realistic. Whats more important, her

GPA or her ERA? Most college professors don't really care if you're a star athlete. Need to be hitting the books instead of worrying about all this D1 bull. Reality is if you can't make the grades those D1 coaches will be looking elsewhere. IMO.

How true! It's not like girls have the opportunity to go pro in fastpitch like in baseball. So for most--high school is it for a few lucky ones--college is it--then what--grades will get you farther in life.

  9. NOT EVERYONE.....nice guy is just going on what ya'll have said about all them D1 players on the bench! See if I can find their family a new house to move to here in "the Glade"......We will need a few of em' next year.......

I think "yall" was the wrong thing to say. Not all of us Coffee County fans are tooting horns and making stupid remarks about our team or players. I for one have been low key and respect the ability of any team to come in and beat us at any given time. That does not mean I think our team is bad but I do believe in bad days for players or teams. Do I agree with everything Coach Floyd does, of course not, do I think he has the right people on the field, not all of the time, hence my remark about players having bad days. But I go with the flow and know things will work out the way they are supposed to. Do I think we have 5 D1 players, NO I do not. Do I believe "some" will further advance their career, yes I do but to D1---no.

  10. Have you people ever seen a D1 player on a D1 Team they dont let Moms and Dads in the dugouts to bring them chips and cheeseburgers.

Not sure what you are implying, but, Floyd doesn't even allow the girls to eat in dugout. IF you would ever come to a game you would see that. And what does any of that have to do with how a girl or team plays? All it was, was a chance for you to try and make a jab at someone. Shouldn't you be teaching someone something right now instead of on a computer.

  11. Maybe, but you will be coming to us. Everthing is coming together like it should, Terry will have us ready. With Casey playing like she is everything else should fall into place.. I still stand by my first thoughts, we should roll into the boro /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> i dont see us getting beat the rest of the reg season!!!!!!

Oh please stop. I hope people don't think we are all as arrogant as you are. With "the whole" team playing like they are I "hope" everything else falls into place. I stand by my thoughts--good luck Lady Raiders!!!

  12. Coffee County might be playing good right now. BUT anything can happen and i would rather not get too cocky about it. I am a Coffee County fan but I am also not naive and know we can get beat. Good Luck Raiders.

  13. If CC has anything this year, it is better team speed than usual. We will be able to pass, as long as Simerly doesn't get hurt....if so we got a running QB too. My main concern is O-line and D-line, not skill positions, which is unusual for a CC team.

I heard Simerly quit. Anybody know if this is true.

  14. So, at what point did CCHS put their younger girls in and let them play? Surely, someone realized before this game ever started that there would be a dominant team in this match-up and they didn't start 9 varsity players. Not that it is any of my business. I am glad that CCHS has such a talented, hard-working, well-coached team, but all schools are not that blessed. I hope CCHS does well this season, they deserve it. But show some mercy along the way! I wasn't there and didn't see how this game was played, hopefully someone will tell me CC was playing there younger girls/JV and they did all they cold not to run up the score.

Good luck this season CC, I honestly want to see you win your district!

JV sat and watched. I don't think he waws trying to run up the score. He just never puts JV in a varsity game, unless of an injury like last night.

  15. While our coach does give the JV squad and the Varsity the same uniforms, sweats, bat bags or anything else that goes with it and he does try to have a jv game every time there is a varsity game. What I don't approve of is how during varsity games all players are expected to be in dugout cheering and watching but when it comes to the jv game the varsity is not expected to stay in dugout and watch or if a home game they don't even have to be there for start of game. I think that is just poor taste. I think they should be treated as an equal team, everything should go both ways. They practice together ride buses together do fund raising together they should route for each other equally.

  16. Coffee Co.

    OF Davis twins

    1B Bartell

    1B/P Swan

    OF Downs

    C Shelby Davis

    2B Keele

OF Baldwin. Had her down as a junior for some reason. My bad.

Great group of girls. They have some depth on this team which is great. Should do really well this year.--In MY opinion.

  17. Why do you not ever hear anything out of coffee county people? Not know about this website or just don't care enough to stand behind their team? I personally have not seen them practice any this year, but i as always hope they do really well. And as always I say they will be just as good as the coach lets them be.
