  1. Paige Ramsey might be an option. Crumley has been playing her quite a bit for a freshman. She still doesn't have that much experience, but who knows.
  2. I never said anything about thinking GHS will be the only one to go to state. I go to GHS, so I want at least our girls (hopefully boys and girls) to go to state since I didn't get to see them in previous years. And let me remind you, Glory and Dupree are both well over six feet tall, as opposed to Clevenger, who at most is 6 even. (i think). Plus, Glory and Dupree are playing for a private school, whereas Clevenger is playing for a small public school. But back to the original question: The best player in the county outside of GHS. I believe most will agree that Deans wins for overall best, with Dickson being the next best GHS player.
  3. Dude, what fantasy land are you living in? Lamons does plenty on the court, why else would she be out there? And no more reasons that don't have any substance. Plus, all of the stuff your citing is personal belief and stuff that happened last year. Last time I checked, players tend to improve with more playing time. That's why losing seniors is such a big deal. And unless you happen to be a psychologist/psychiatrist, don't talk about what goes on in other people's heads. Maybe she doesn't shoot because that's not why she's in the game. Greeneville faced a pretty physical team in Webb, plus Jeff Co wasn't exactly soft, but GHS doesn't play a really physical game. I think Nicole getting shut down now won't be as much of a problem as it would have been earlier in the season, especially with Deans and Collins there to take up the slack. This looks like it'll be a thrill ride of a season, though.
  4. PPG were listed just to give a comparison, since the Sun doesn't list the other averages. I put those up there just to remind people that GHS may have some of the best players, but there are some other good players out there. The Webb is bad enough comment was about having a tough, out of division team on the schedule. GHS vs. South Greene is almost always a close game, and SG usually does well in AA play. Clevenger might not be on the level of Glory or Dupree, but considering the fact that she is just a junior and how much she has improved over last year and the fact that they both have at least 2 or 3 inches on her, her performances have been pretty impressive. But don't get me wrong. I'll be pulling for the Devils all season. I reeaalllly want to go to state this year. Just keep in mind that I also asked who the best player outside of GHS was.
  5. Ashley is one of the best. avg ppg, the top three in the county have been: Megan Clevenger (SG junior), Ashley, Nicole Dickson (GHS soph.). Clevenger just took the lead, and south greene is unbeaten in district play. Good thing GHS isn't playing them this year. Webb was bad enough.
  6. Who is the best player in: 1. Greene County (including GHS) 2. Greene County School System
  7. Hey Orange- Lamons is starting because of defense. In case you haven't noticed, she's one of three remaining seniors. Everyone else stopped playing. Crumley understands dedication, and, direct quote, "Any points Morgan scores is [bonus]..., she's in there to be a defensive specialist." Not everyone who plays is in there to score. That's what makes Greeneville a threat, boys and girls; you can't focus on the top one or two scorers, because everyone else is enough of a threat that you can't leave them unguarded. Cause someone like Morgan might just pop off a trey when you're not looking. Like against Alcoa.
