These new allegations about Coach Maxwell of Riverdale are ridiculous. The parents of the former girl on the team should be ashamed. As reported by Tom Kreager of the Daily News Journal, those parents have been stalking her and attempting to ruin her career. This is a very immature act by some parents whose child wasn't going to get the playing time when Jaclissa Haislip moved over (a legal move by TSSAA standards). I think this is ridiculous and the parents should face some type of punishment by the legal system for their immature actions.

I agree! The parents doing this better get ready for a lawsuit....this is crazy. I feel very sorry for someone that wants to hurt this coach.
I think you are correct, and not only are they hurting coach, they are hurting players and the team as a whole. Plus their own daughter.

On a side note do not plan to go to blackman gym and carry on a conversation with the person sitting next to you their band plays all pre game halftime inbetween games halftime timeouts and they are loud i about lost my voice during pregame trying to talk to several people
so go see Ms Thigpen for you ear plugs before you go to the game
Thank you, Riverdaleman..I also heard others talking about this same thing at the consession stand and restroom.

Congrats to this young lady on this milestone. This young lady has been a vital part in the success here at Millington. Congrats to her as she has etched her name in the record books!
Go Jasmine, Middle TN says congrats also.

Riverdale's chemistry is the best I have seen this season. They seemed to be more fluid as a team since the lost to Cookeville. They had a great Christmas season with 2 championships in 2 very good tournaments. I have only seen them play a couple times this season but they seem to be having fun playing together. I am not sure Jaclissa was shut down with only a few points. One of the parents in the stands had her for double digits in assists and rebounds. Great players take what the defense gives them. She has a great cast around her and they seem to be playing well together. Coach Maxwell seems to be playing a 7 or 8 person rotation since the Cookeville loss. Bringing Spurlock off the bench and 00 gives them a spark and solid play when needed. I wish them luck the rest of the season. Coach Maxwell and my former coach seem to be a great team together. Go Lady Warriors.
You are correct, I don't think Jaclissa was shut down with a few points either. She did have double digits in assists and rebounds which made the others get the points. If you watch RHS games she does alot of assists.

Please post a schedule if anyone has it.
I would like to see a schedule also...If you check the Herald-Citizen online news- sports, it gives you some of the times and schools.

Who do these two play for in the summer and how well do they perform? That seems to be his basis for ranking, on the players he's familiar with.
Jaclissa Haislip plays the summer with Memphis Elite, you can check their website
"teammemphiselite.org" for info, they just won the AAU 15U National Championships
in Ohio this week and Haislip is one of their starters and best players.

I am not sure anyone in this district can beat Hillsboro. You are going to need your best game and hope they are off of theirs to pull out a win this year. Anyone know how deep they are? It seems like a very balanced scoring team with lots of players.
Hillsboro must have had an off game last night, I understand in district play Ravenwood (had to be an off game)beat them..should have been Independence, that team could do it if the whole team would work together instead of only 3 interested players. Hillsboro goes up against Indy Monday night.

What a great game this was, neck and neck. Then at the last few seconds
Jaclissa Haislip shot a three pointer from way back behind the foul circle to win the game and Independence is
undefeated 6-0. Independence is off to a good start and no wonder with Haislip on the team.

I agree-Lausanne Collegiate, those girls are awesome.
It's still very early. Things could change by the end of the season. But, from what I've seen and heard about, here's my list based on how they're playing NOW in no particular order: Northside, Millington, East... now it gets tough... I'm picking 2 fairly young teams, Cordova and Germantown. Overton and Houston could get thrown in there.
The first 3 schools I named appear to be significantly ahead of the 2nd group of teams. But, you could make the argument that the best team in Memphis is in the small school division - Lausanne Collegiate.

I saw her play with the AAU Lady Belles, she was awesome. She does have a natural basketball ability all her own.Coach Maxwell is doing her part, but also she has learned from Coach Eric Bonner. She will always be a Murfreesboro Lady Belle!!!! Jaclissa has her own talent naturally just being able to use it instead of being "controlled" is another story.

Jaclissa Haislip of Independence HS is the one to watch. She is tearing the hardwood up.
