  1. Well we beat ya'll in a hall of fame game last year during basketball season so i guess we had to give you one. And i have seen your football team play. So i wouldnt say any sport. After Westview smoked that tail in football we would definitely send you home crying. Don't run your mounth about stuff you don't know anything about.

You know I do remember that hall of fame game you speak of. We had one player out sick, three playing football and you won by two in overtime at your place. Big Win!! And football??? Ha that is hillarious, you might get within four touchdowns

  2. I think they will have a good year, the kids are really working hard for their coach and from what I can tell they really seem to be meshing well with eachother and buying in to what the coach is wanting from them. Good luck Pats

  3. I did get to watch Henry County play yesterday but didn't make it to Clarksville as I would have liked to. HC looked good. They outplayed Dyer Co. from the tip which surprised me a little. I figured DC would be the one's that were confident and controlled the game, but HC playing without a starting two guard and another great sophmore who is still on the football field played a very good game. They have some polishing up to do themselves but that's why you play these tough teams preseason. I hope it is a sign of things to come! Go pats!

  4. You all haven't given Henry County enough love, well on the flip side I can see what you see not living here because they did struggle at the end of their season losing their last four games or so, but they are a lot better than you are thinking. We were young last year and got all kids back except one (that played). I watched them play a few games this summer and I was shocked. You don't know what's coming!!

    Go Big Red

  5. 10AAA will be competitive this year. Clarksville is preseason favorite as they should be. Rossview will be competitive as should North East. Not quite sure how those of you on here have put H.C. down behind Dickson and even Northeast, who they swept both last year and only graduated one kid. I know they're not up here in the Clarksville area and don't get as much exposure as our other teams do, but I think there is something special going on down there. I have a cousin who lives in Paris and he tells me that the new coach is really turning things around and that the kids have worked harder than I would believe this off-season. Springfield shouldn't be too strong after graduating ten kids and Kenwood is just too wild.

  6. Doesn't sound like any dampening going on. Just stating the facts, didn't say that's why they lost, maybe they would have lost by 100 if he had played. Someone just asked for details and then he gave them. I guess you can see on Friday if that kid would have made any difference...

Don't know think that it will be fun to watch a Springfield-Henry County game for a third time. You know what they say it's hard to beat a team 3 times! Just don't want to look past anyone and want to take each game 1 at a time and maybe players will come around and with a little luck mixed in we'll get to meet C'ville in the finals!

I know I may be the lone ranger on this, but I feel like Henry County's still gonna make some noise this postseason. Looks like they've finally found an inside prescence, and their defense is pretty good. Just need the perimeter players to step it back up to the way they have performed a lot this year. I think Henry has all the tools to pull off a few upsets and surprise some people. Hopefully they can still turn it on before it's too late

  8. Congrats to HC on a good fought game last night! They didn't string four quarter together, but I'd say they did a good job for 3 and a half. CHS had a run to start the third that HC never quite recovered from. CHS is a very solid ball team (ranked #4 in the state) and HC showed some great strides proving that they are capable of playing with anyone. Much improved this time around boys! Ball game ended up 15, well I guess actually 17 since CHS tried for an alley-oop at the buzzer, (not sure about those tactics when you already have the game won), but anyways... Great job Patritots keep working and you'll have a chance to do something great this year!!

    Go Big Red!

  9. Hopefully HC can step it up tomorrow. Clarksville is loaded and is to the eye of the beholder the favorite, but I believe in these young kids and feel that if anyone is to stop Clarksville this year that they have the best chance. They just have to play four solid quarters of basketball. I think they will be better prepared this time around than they were the first time.

    Good luck Pats!

I know the talent was there before he was. I am not sayin it is all because of him that they are doind so bad. But attitude can have a BIG impact on the way you play your game. And nobody is calling him a savior except for you. Some of us just think he is doind a really good job with the kids this year. I know you agree with that, but just becuse a bunch of kids have talent does not mean they are going to be a good team. It does help to have a good coach. Your coach not only motivates you, but helps you become a better player, even if you were born to play basketball, like Blake and Crittendon.

    Agreed..

Seems like three teams are out in front with a comfortable lead... I've seen most of these teams play and I think the last few games of the year and the tourneys gonna be very exciting. I must have caught springfield on a bad night, but I am surprised that Henry didn't beat them even at their place. I don't know if anyone can play with Clarksville yet, but there's still a month to go before the tourney starts. Looking forward to some more good basketball.

Bellgo I respect your and UTVols opinions on this, but highlights is not enough. If you were not at the game, you cannot get the real feel of how everything played out. I agree that 20 pints is a large amount, but I do not care how good you are or how well you play you cannot beat the refs or the clock guy who ran twenty seconds off during the fourth quarter after the whistle was blown. The refs had a about a two, maybe three minute time span where they let the boys play and Springfield cut the lead from 14 to 6. Springfield can run with anyone in the District and they will prove that come tournament time.

Springfield's not bad, I'll give you that.
