well said...coach mccroskey has done a WONDERFUL job at seymour...he started with a few youth wrestlers and built on it...everyone on the team, parents, and coaches recruit for our team...kids playing football need to recognize that wrestling does go hand and hand with football...we have tons of wrestlers that play football..for example on our middle school team..we have 60 plus kids playing football and believe it or ot...6 runningbacks and they ALL ARE WRESTLERS...the agilty these kids have is unbelievable..and i personally credit it to the wrestling training...we have 1 kid we recruited this year from middle school football..hes an eighth grader from bosnia...he said wrestling practice is much harder than the three hour in the heat football practices... and it also makes kids much more aggressive on the field...when ya have an 85lb wrestler on the football team going up against a 240lb 6 foot 8th grader..some would and have said" hes gonna get hurt" but to him... its just a double leg takedown

YES, IT WAS A GREAT MATCH! AND YES IT ENDED IN A PIN. LOGAN HAS BEEN A FIERCE COMPETITOR THIS YEAR...THE BOY WRESTLED GREAT AGAINST HIM...

YOU'LL BE SURPRISED TO KNOW THAT I ACTUALLY SAT IN THE STANDS ALL DAY AND BEHAVED MYSELF..LOL ya know phillip..that was one of the best matches i have EVER seen those boys of ours go into...it was fair, trent was beat fair and square...and it really helped him...you could actually see him thinking about how to work defensively...trent will be moving up to 90 lbs as he had to cut 8 oz even with the pound allowance...but he needs too...hes gaining weight for football(kinda hard as a runningback 85lbs..when your opponents are 150-240lbs...there was one part in the match wear trents headgear slipped around and was chocking him and he tapped nick on the shoulder and nick let up enough for trent to wrestle his head around and get his headgear back on track..thats class...i really look forward to them wrestling more..nick has greatly improved on his wrestling skills(moves)..now trents gonna have to get educated better....GREAT JOB NICK! but there are a few things i need to talk to you about that happened in other matches that were wrong...and i'm not gonna bring em up here cause they were not my kids..but i am concerned...so if ya don't mind...email me at the email i posted earlier... ON A GOOD NOTE SEYMOUR TOOK 6 WRESTLERS TOO THIS TOURNEY...ALL 6 PLACED IN THE TOP 4 LEE KNIGHT, LUKE HALL, EDWARD HOLLAND(2ND YR WRESTLER)ALL TOOK 1ST THEN A SECOND PLACE THIRD PLACE AND TRENT TOOK 4TH...HE LET HIS EMOTIONS GET AHOLD OF HIM AND PRETTY MUCH BEAT HIMSELF...HOPE TO HEAR FROM YALL SOON..GOOD LUCK NICK...GOOD JOB!

thanks for the compliment rigger101...i wasn't there...and not sure who these "rednecks" were cause most of "us rednecks" are with the middle school ..haha yeo i'm including myself..my neck is red...but i have never said any of the above listed from the others above. it may have been addressed...but again..."us rednecks" are a lil hard to handle or convince to act otherwise...my apologies for their actions...what was going on in the match to prompt it if any?

calm down matbrat 5...this is a place for complaing..all is good... you can't judge a whole community by actions of a couple..lol..although i've been known to get into a match or two myself...at least it wasn't coaches smirking in a corner because a kid got away with a legal but intent to do harm..move and no, that was not geared at ND or Seymour

yes they did! although i haven't heard how that went...our high school coach was at the state duals..and our middle school coach took the jv and some middle school to roane co...but we had some kids wanting to go to the sharpshooters tourney for kids they hadn't wrestled against..so one of the assistant coaches took those 6 to the boro...seymour was all over this weekend!

congrats to them! good job! seymour took 6 wrestlers...came away with 3 first place...1 second..1 third and 1 fourth...all championship matches...well done seymour as well!
