BA is getting much better, as is Brentwood High and Blackman. All have awesome feeder programs and are young. Look for good things from these schools for a while......

Agreed those are probably the top four at this point, but a little surprised at Father Ryan being on top. They have many returning, but these other programs have proven to be strong every year.

I don't think anyone has anything against the Memphis schools (or refs), just a lot of good wrestling in Mid TN. I've seen some very good West TN kids...in fact I saw a kid from CBHS beat one of Ryan's (3) time State Champs. Get your coaches communicating with Ryan and others.

Father Ryan is not a boarding school, and I'm guessing MWR wasn't referring to them about recruiting. I saw many of these kids wrestle for the Nash Cath group in middle school, and no doubt those fundamentals and mat time have helped them become strong wrestlers.

Might be Father Ryan's year if they stay healthy, and have the drive and desire. There are many right there together like Ryan, Baylor, McCallie, and there are always surprises.

I have attended this match-up for the last few years, and it is ALWAYS the wrestling highlight of the year. Many thanks to these two brothers (Pat & Frank) who have helped put high school wrestling on the map in Nashville. Congrats to the Irish this year, but I know it will continue to be a barn burner year after year. What the date for this one next year so I can put it on my calendar?
