  1. Ooltewah's AC abruptly left the game after arguing with the ref. I was standing at the exit door that he stormed out of. Maybe he just left because he was angry. Good for Mr. Foster for holding those kids accountable.
  2. If Grace can limit their turnovers they've got a chance. If not it's another blowout.
  3. People close to the Grace program have told me laziness is a problem for McMasters, but I've seen him work fairly hard in games, especially on defense. I think his offensive struggles are related to the freshmen and sophomore guards on his team being unable to get him the ball in good positions. At 6'10" he's unable to create his own shots, so his effectiveness is going to depend a great deal on the ball handlers. Against Temple Grace's guards struggled to cross half-court with the ball, much less find Carter where he could score.
  4. Here's the story I heard: Temple was playing at Ooltewah 2 years ago in a wild game in which 10+ Ooltewah fans and their assistant coach got thrown out of the game. Jeremy's parents witnessed the event and decided they'd rather have him playing for Temple than Ooltewah, where he was zoned. May or may not be true, it's just what I heard.
  5. What I saw was Sexton standing alone until Jordan got up in his face saying something. Sexton laughed and the ref blew the whistle. Temple is loaded with exeptional athletes? Only one of them, Dee, might play college ball next year, and we're talking small college. Temple just has a few kids who play extremely hard and know how to play the game. Why not press late? Grace has a blue chipper who could single-handedly bring them back in the game.
  6. He got up in Sexton's face (don't know why) and Sexton just laughed at him. A ref gave Sexton a T, then Coach Skogen and the Temple crowd talked him out of it. It was amazing how poorly the game was officiated. I thought TSSAA tried to send the best refs to the big rivalry games.
  7. It should be a crime to play a game between such big rivals in a tiny venue like Grace's gym. If the Fire Marshall shows up a lot of folks will be sent home dissapointed. I don't think coach Mattheiss would resort to the same dirty tactics Boyd used to use. I'm not sure it would work anyway on Seth. I predict he'll go for 30+ and Temple will win by 25.
  8. Nobody can defend Carter in the post? I believe Phillip Jurick and Josh Smith might debate you on that. Carter has never scored more than 5 points against 6'2" Josh. Carter's a good player but he'll have to become great in February for the Eagles to finish well.
