  1. No. He's a junior. He's too slow to run the veer. The scrimmage must have been the performance of a lifetime for him. No offense to him as a person, but I highly doubt he has the skills to run a high school offense.

    This is true. It's hard to play QB in the veer with around a 5.5 forty. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Also, it's not near as difficult passing the ball against a 3rd or 4th team defense as it is against the starters. Lets just leave the QB job for Christian and not trevor IMO

  2. I get tired of hearing a group of our fans constantly criticizing the officials.?  At MW it was embarassing, a group of 8-10 grown men sitting in a group screaming at the officials that they are idiots every 5 minutes.?  I did see some questionable calls last night but did they beat us??  NO.?  Like someone else said we beat ourselves.?  #5 needs to play ball and keep his mouth shut - coaching staff should take care of that issue.?  The fumble on the 1 yard line hurt - looked like Long got hit before handoff on a straight dive play over guard to Brooks.?  Better learn from that one boys and coaches.?  If we want to be a smashmouth veer offense?  we have to be able to run a basic dive play.?  I really hoped they would run the QB sneak.?  I think this group has a lot of heart and that we will see some good things from them before the end of the year.?  Looks like we are afraid to throw the ball.?  I can't figure out if the coaching staff thinks we can't catch it, we can't throw it, or if we run the veer so well we don't have to throw it.?  A few slants, quick outs, and curls would spread that defense a little and might open a few things up.?  I'm not saying throw it 15-20 times a game but at least mix it up a little, and let's see if we can use a short passing game to keep the defense honest.?  Keep them honest and then the veer will work a lot better.?

    exactly right

    good call

  3. I think the hey point is missed, an attempt to intercept the ball should have never been made. Like canefan said last night, it was 4th and long from the 30, a pick losses yards. The ball should have been knocked down.

yeah but still, put yourself in that position. You think that you're going to try and knock it down or run it back and try to score

  4. A little slack for punter. Yes that is fundamental football. He has never played football. He has only been on team 2 days. Remember it is the long snapper who sailed it over his head. The original punter had to leave the team. On the missed pick it actually went throught 2 Db's hands. Penalties were killers. Would have liked to see more of the Mountaineer Package to shake things up. Defense played overall a good game. Greenveille QB is a good player.

no actually im pretty sure that the pass only went through one DB's hands and then into the endzone to the greenville WR

  5. QUOTE(Warlock @ Mar 19 2007 - 09:48 PM) 826418048[/snapback]Players found out friday Coach was resigning, I was told this by a player over an hour ago.

No we didnt find out friday!!

  6. I'm a Tennessee fan and could care less for Notre Dame. Even though I think ND is overrated their program is in better shape than Tennessee's. Tennessee's coaching staff must adapt to today's game. Cutcliffe might call the plays but it's Fulmer's offensive schemes. Chavis needs to drop the Mustang package he usues late in games. If the coaching staff could make a few minor changes to their schemes, Tennesee would be dominant again.

Tony Hunt ran all over Tennessee
